At least you can get out cheaply with those. The worst ones are three wheel cards that hit well on 4th street, followed by a barrage of pairs, trips and face cards.

we can talk for this hand 5♦:K♦:7♥:...Is this a +EV raise or not..But there are more low cards and Aces in the deck at this stage, you show him 7, he have 6..It's weird to raise, it's better to call. What do you have, A27? Doesn't matter, he still can call, or raise...Also two 6 are shown..I think fold>call>raise...But this is questionable, this is only my opinion..You should observe the table, the players...Take you time before sit in, 10 hands for example. Just watch..
...aggro players don't bet when I want to check/raise
Opponent is extremely active playing almost 50% of hands, and playing them aggressively, and sees the flop on nearly 60% of hands, and donks the flop about 25% of the time.

I didn't want to put KQo up against what is either a strong Ace or a big pair.
As it turned out...

5card draw is very close to pure gambling. You should play limit 5card draw..Like the other games, if there is a "limit", then you can find a edge. Imagine pot limit or no limit Badugi..Or triple draw..Or stud...I did play those with pot limit. It's insane..
Still you can play pot limit Badugi...If we talk about "unconventional" formats, Badugi is the best. The fishes have very little chance to improve their hands..It's like a "suicide"
You can say the same for 5 card draw. But how often you will have strong hand pre draw!? For limit 5 card draw you can use a "strategy", for no limit not really..You are just hoping for some insane person..On your table..Must be at least "pot limit", I think..Imagine singe draw "no limit". I did play that as well :f_biggrin:. It's crazy..How you catch a bluff there!? Talking with the stars..And vs strong hand very often you will be underdog, it's complete random..No edge ..Or not enough..You play online and you pay a rake..

Funny you should mention limit 5-Card Draw. I built my PokerStars bankroll with that game. The problem is that it rarely runs these days.
Triple draw has been good to me. The only big tournament I ever won outright was a MicroMillions 2-7 triple draw. I had only been streaming a month or so when that happened.
I frequently play the daily pot-limit Badugi PKO.
I play stud, stud8 and razz but not really enough.
My favourite limit game is Omaha hi/lo, but again, it doesn't run that often.

You should try OFCP..Pineapple..So much fun.
I did for a while. It runs on a bitcoin only site.
I even got a book on it called "No Mercy".
Sadly, I didn't enjoy the game much.
My brother is in hospital, my lawn mower is in need of repair, my back deck needs cleaning.
My friend, said, "Cheer up Vorpal, things could be worse".
So I cheered up.
And sure enough, things got worse.

Well, yes, it is.
He has MS, and has been deteriorating for several years.
They're not sure whether his current trouble is related to MS or not, but he's at the stage where he is continually weak.
