Villain is likely reggy player with decent understanding of the game. From what I have seen he likely has pretty solid 3betting range that include some ds mid rundowns etc.

So first question I would ask about preflop. Would you guys have any AA in calling range or 4bet them all? We are 190bb effective. My AA55ss is no brainer 4bet.

Flop come pretty nice with mid set and bdfd. SPR is bit below 2. Overall we want to do lot of potting here so I felt like this might be bit face up to use small sizing. But then again this is 200bb 4bet pot so basically there is no way for villain to know how I would approach this spot. But yeah if I have some non AAxx 4bets those dont necessarily want to pot. So I think also from theory view we probably want to implement like 1/3 and pot sizes here.

Turn is fairly blank. Not too worried of 63 but A3 might occasionally be there. So turn SPR is 1. If this had been like 4♣: or 4♠: I would just pot. But board stay rainbow so I thought reasonable options would be perhaps to check or bet small again? I decided to go with check.

River is bit nasty as now 76 gets there. But I think there would be decent chance villain would have raised flop if he had like 9876ds type holding. 65 should be pretty rare. Well anyway I was not folding this to any sizing. I think its basically one of best type of bluff catcher I can have as 55 will also block at least tiny bit of higher straights with proximity effect. Plus of course villain can be value betting same straight at least with this small sizing. I wonder if plain AA should call here. Probably at least with having 7 or 6.

I would have play it pretty much as you did. Technically there's 5x4+2 = 22 dubious straight-cards but 25% gives you flushdraw. But the texture hits only small portion of opponent's typical mp(utg) 3betting utg-range. Sure there's some galfondian x543ds and stuff but most of the time not. And you are deep so, he's prolly calling more his pair containing hands he would otherwise fold. (I dont think one should 3bet-fold tag utg but some regs will do it). I love the small valuebet-size you chose. Too bad the board run the way it did and villain didnt find bigger bluffer in him.

Edit: Since you are selling the pot so cheap otf, he might be induced to call very light like isd+backdoors and take a stab at it later. In villains shoes 4 on turn just as 3 or a deuce wouldnt be my favourite bluff cards because aces are blokking there and it would be reppin very narrow range. As the hand is checked on the turn, river could be a good spot turn his blanks into a bluff because you probably have in your range some air which too tried to stab with otf and now you are giving up. So I would favour a bluffcatch here, for some players it's just sweet red flag and they are stabbing it like mf. Villain could also valuebet some goofy 2pairs because your range is overpair hvy even if you balance it a bit. You would call in that river spot with bare AA right, it's over 4:1.

Preflop here is the most interesting issue. Following is only for this deep stack situation. I would 4bet this too even usually I dont like to go crazy with not-doublesuited hands out of position unless there's a real good reason for it. This hands flops well enough. I would call a lot of overpairs here. Problem with weak AA etc is perceived range. People, especially inexperienced player tend to put you on the hand you are holding and that's a disadvantage. Also if you 4bet all of your AA your 4bet range is going to be really aces heavy unless you bomb a lot of ds rundowns too. I prefer to narrow my 4bet range a bit with aces so that I dont need to balance it so much with other hands because I dont want to bomb them out of position.

Would be much appreciated if someone would check what solver thinks hero should 4bet here. It should give some ideas on this spot.

I dont buy the reasoning behind turn check here. Villain has showed interest in this pot calling otf, so it is clear shove or tricky smaller bet for sure. Little bit bigger bet OTF would have meant that any 9x hand is pot committed now even with no draw against shove, now he maybe finds some folds.

Anyway it is basically impossible 4 helped villain hero blocking all kind of low card hands and this being 4bet pot UTG vs MP reasonable villain, so when checking I think it is very very very very likely villain just checkbacks and takes a free card for his OP / 9x hands here and hero is torching his money away by checking. He might bluff river if he misses, but that is no way guaranteed, people often also just elect to check again to see if their hand is good anyway against such weak line with that OP or A9 or whatever.

River is bit nasty as it really shouldn't help villain again, so what could he bluff here with. But also what would he call with if hero bets now so meh, could as well go for the check again hoping for something. Obviously not scared at all to call it off if he goes for it.

Well even if I used half pot on flop it would have created around 0,6-0.7 SPR for turn. Plain 9x would not be pot committed with just 10 outs. Though of course mentally villain might be committed. Half pot is absolutely max I would like to bet with set as we really want to give villain chance to continue with hands that have very bad equity. Plus I dont mind if villain assumes to have some fe with flop raise. If I go over half pot I think its very likely there is no fe.

Now my 4bet range is going to be too AA heavy most likely. I will have some of those AT97ds type occasionally though I am not too sure if those are good 4bets 200bb deep. I suppose we are forced to fold versus 5bet which could be issue. Solver probably 4bets some JT97ds type as those can definitely call versus 5bet.

WIth 1/3 flop size I dont really like potting this turn. I think it forces too much of villain range to fold. But yeah check probably wont induce that many bluffs. So another 1/3 might be reasonable but no idea really :)

Villain had on this one

Spoiler

QT87ds with Q high bdfd. So fair amount of turns to give him some equity. Flop peel is probably fine. I actually think betting small on his shoes on turn would not be bad at all. He has so little value with his hand that facing shove would be totally fine. Also as played on river I would think he mainly wants to pot when betting. I dont see much two pairs or sets in his range. So its mainly straight or air.

Yeah you're right, SPR 0,7 he would need still 29% and with 11 outs he would've only 25%. And that's the best case scenario not your range, which can have straights or sets making him drawing dead.

Small betting sizes here with practical nuts is pretty nice for sure to induce such light calls, but it is also sus as hell :) Usually weaker aces or that A9xx I would prefer fast 2 street game to get max value/FE against draws and avoid akward river spots I think.

Maybe that's not such big issue and most villains dont pay too much attention on bet sizes, and small bet flop small bet turn is more +EV with such strong holdings.

Here you got max out of that, nice hand.

If you can create SPR 2 versus one opponent with AA, you should quite always do it. SPR 2 is the threshold where you can mathematically just stack off on any flop and opponent cant exploit that. The absolute SPR threshold is SPR 1,5 if opponent had premium cracking hand (ds, no pair, no Ace). In reality they have pocket pairs and crappy hands, so SPR 2 is the threshold in reality. That doesnt mean we should stack off on any flop. The ones where we hit anything or are dry.

Here I would shove the turn. Not sure what we are trying to achieve with a check. Quite often the hands he would shove here are the hands he would call our shove. And he has something that connects with the board. With check we often just give him a free card to his possible straight draw. What happened here is imo a lot more unlikely than getting value for our turn shove.
