Bad news on 888 poker, they will no longer be hosting STTs

I will have to find mtts to play there instead of STTs. The MB sound good to me. They don't last long and the field is kinda soft.

I find that the regular-speed tournaments on 888 take far too long — 3 hours late reg is excessive.

I've always love playing O8 or better. There are some freerolls on ACR and today we manage to get to the FT, put ourselves in a very good position. After few hours of play we finished 2nd after making a deal with the other guy (usually i would have played this to the end, since i think i had an edge over the other guy). Why make a deal then, to avoid variance, Omaha 8 or better is very swingy and the ranges are very closed. Here are the payouts and the deal that we agreed.

Tomorrow i will post an update of how the challenge is doing. On this note i did not played anything on the weekend since i have a weading to attend to.

Cheers and gl at the tables

Slow week volume and quality wise. But we are coming strong this week, since 888 eliminated their STTs in decided to play mostly on PS, Wx, N8, still playing the MB wich are very fun and ev+. I will start playing cash games on ACR and i got some roll on N8 will try to dig my self out of the hole playing golds and maybe i could find an mtt that fits our BR.

Stay tuned, gl at the tables.

Not too much to report this week, i have not been playing much, tomorrow i will hopefully play all day and try to catch up with the challenge wich is half way there or so
3 hands leave us out of this mtt 2 of them 70-30 and 1 flip holding TT. Too bad we could not hold in any of these spots cause we were getting in pretty good shape.

See you all tomorrow.

loooool, i wrote an update and did not hit submit an lost everything i wrote. Hope i remember what i was saying:

Ok, first of all we manage to create some kind of a BR on NT8 after finaling table 2 more MTTs and got after few spin and golds 4.89 on the cashier (will be playing only $0.25 spins and maybe some 0.25 or 0.50 mtts

ON 888 poker we had a deep run on the MB $1 1.5k GTD and placed 54th (got some sick hands at the end that we could not hold)

We haven't been playing much on WN

Here is how the BR is divided by sites
PS 206.70
NT8 4.89
Win 47.75
888 211.99
ACr 8.49
Total 479.82

I will regroup today to define what will i be playing during the week and in the rest of the challenge.

Have a nice week everyone.

As you can see not much happend this week, somehow i did not make any profit.... I ran pretty bad on Pokerstars and ran into another FR FT on ACR (omaha8) Seems like i am not playing pretty good nlh but okeyish O8 or better. I ran aweful on NT8 s&gold but still have some BR there.

Oh i forgot about Jackpoker, i just opened and account there and will be checking the site out. Seems pretty soft field and has some good mtts.

I have the same problem and couldn't solve it by far. Tracking my winnings in a separate spreadsheet and opted-in for tracking by SharkScope, I can see my ROI and winnings by limits there

@studenishe thank you, bummer i will have to do the same

Make another FT on a micro PLO8 mtt on ACR, unfurtunately we did not run good there.

this week i have time here and there and will be a spin week all long... since i have 100 5s BIs i will play 5s and 10s, if i drop to 450 will play 5s untill i get to 100 BIs again, will make these shots all week.

Some interesting hands coming up.

gla at the tables, have fun.

@TheGrindChronicles: I've been playing poker for quite some while now and played almost anything. Started with MTT Freerolls on stars when you had to win a ticket to play a GTD freeroll back in 2008, then i played some $0.10 360 mtts till i had some BR and started to study some cash strategies here like SSS, DoNs, STT, 18 men. Then i switched to Hyper Turbo 6 max but did not like the swings the format had so i came back to play 18 menStudy like crazy the MTTSNG strategy ( so much that's when i became a coach here in the school). Then i fell in love with omaha 8 or better 18 men and mtts because the MTTSNG market drop like crazy (i could not play 16+tables anymore, right around when the us market collapsed). Then some spins and right now, this challege i made so i and other could know that there is still possible to build a healthy BR with only an internet connection.

I have not played the amount of poker that i could or would loved to but that's ok. Specially since i decided "to take a break" on 2023 to pursuit some personal projects i had pending. Some day near by i could return to play as much as i like.

Current goals ::::: Finish the challenge and maybe switch to MTTs for the most part, but we'll see. Ty for your comment, gl at the tables u2 and welcome to the school.

Have fun and gl

Ok @Nazgos: Talking about the 18 men MTTsngs there are some videos on the spanish community that helped me a lot. I see you want to add 18 men and 45 men to your STTs playing habits wich i dont recommend.

ICM STT it's way different than 18 men (not a lot but some kinda different) and 45 men is way different since the bubble factor weights a lot in your bubble play.

I have 1 or 2 videos in the spanish community explaining what the bubble factor is all about and how it affects your calling and shoving decission in either one of the formats you are playing or want to play.

18 men are more alike 9 men sng than 18 men to 45 men since the payout structure is more linear in 9 and 18 men than 45 men where the payout structure is more top heavy and the chip accumulation in earlier stages is more important. Somewhat more alike than an MTT or an 180 men sng.

hope i made myself clear (bear in mind english is not my native language)

cheers and gl at the tables

We reach another FT in an Omaha8 MTT on ACR and got very unlucky and finish 8th :f_rolleyes:

Spoiler

Funny thing the hand that we enter the FT is the hand we lost almost all our stack.

The hand goes like this.
150,000/300,000 Ante 37,500

SB: 17.8bb
BB: 20.73bb
CO: 26.22bb

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB
Dealt to Hero: BB T♣:T♠:5♦:4♥:

CO call 1 BB, SB completes, Hero check

The flop comes (3.62BB) A♦:T♦:8♥:
SB checks, Hero Bets 4.35BB, CO calls 4.35B, SB Calls 4.35BB " i have the nuts 99% of the time here, and a 2nd nut lo project if the (the nut lo with the 3 if comes), lets build the pot"

TURN: (16.67BB) 2♥:
SB bets 3BB, Hero raises All in, CO folds; SB calls 9.95BB and is all in "i want the CO stack as well, maybe he call with a FD, worse lo, or the same and i quartered him"

SB shows A♠:A♣:3♦:Q♣: for top set no lo :wtf: AA3Q played this way preflop OMG
Hero shows T♣:T♠:5♦:4♥: middle set 2nd nut lo "at least i am winning the lo, and maybe the miracle T hits on the river, i have outs" :transpire:

River (39.95) 4♣: :badteeth::why::spit::coolface:

SB wins both pots :nh:

Spoiler

:f_drink: Busto after 8 hours of play.... (i did not see the structure of this mtt before i register and payed the price) oh well. Time to learn.

gl at the tables everyone, have fun and make EV+
