It was an interesting experience for sure. I did win the leaderboard once on NL5 already, needed 23 hours for that. This limit was something else though... After streaming like 16 hours straight, I noticed there is no way even to close up to 2nd place, totally unhuman what the first two Russians did. It is amazing that GG does nothing about this. I stopped at 45k points straight, only leaving the computer to take bio breaks and eat once for 5 minutes. The first once at that time had an amazing 61k at this point, so he kind of made an extra 4 hours advantage in 17 hours.
There was someone saying in chat that why am I considering this even hard? He could make 65k point in 22 hours easily. Focusing 22 hours straight is already a pain in the ass, got to love these trolls. I mean, just try to do it. I think I have exceptional stamina to do these, never got bothered to play videogames whole day. Of course reacting to chat, reading it, clicking song requests was distracting, so let's say I could make 50k points then instead of 45k. Still nowhere even close to first.
Both were Russians, had VPIP of 18-19, PFR 15-16. But first place had 55% 3bet instead of 9%.
Obviously, if you have preflop rake, and your 3bet is this high will mean your rake is going to be like 10 BB/100 or even more, instead of 8,5, like for GTO game.
I guess both players try, and maybe even can exploit the system itself, but just for points. Playing -EV game will never be rewarding though, just for a pure 13$ or 30$ extra money. Definitely not in 20k+ hands.
But let's assume they are at a very bear minimum account sharing, if not just pure botting. I have played real people before, won more leaderboards on R&C, and I know that most of them act instantly if they make such a high volume. These guys always took some time to react, which is also unnatural.
Question is only: Why would GG ever do anything against them, right? They produce rake, and nothing is more important for them, I guess.

Yeah some of these players are on for crazy amount of time, I don't know how long it took me but it was losing effort both times. Also we have power cuts so you can't really compete for the leader board and then have to stop for 2hrs and then get back on again. I also noticed that gg now has limit on the 2nl tables, its now 9 instead of 12.

I think they playing for a farm and account sharing, there is no way you can keep that up for that amount of time over those many days. Especially at 2nl where things are so random and you see players tilt buyins off time and time again. But of course I have no proof, they could just be very bored and love playing poker.
Those results are crazy, especially after putting in that amount of time, I don't know how you kept your concentration going, nice result.

Not long ago, I started playing MTTs. Honestly, I've always hated them my whole life, but since I've been playing regular tables, 9-max, and using various stack strategies because of my opponents, I've started to like the idea of them. Of course, it's was just a supplement to cash games, but it's been going well so far. And after getting 3 final tables and a win in a month, it's become a regular thing for me to play. This time, I didn't win money, but rather an entry ticket, and not just to any event. I mean.. It is the biggest online tournament there is! It is a bracelet event!
How did I get here?
No, I didn't deposit any money, nor did I receive it as a gift. I fought for it in a two steps satellite. I started with from the $15 first step, but really only because there were 9 cash tables running and 1 MTT in the session, and I wanted to make it 12. I thought I was satellite-ing into the mini main event (which is only $500), because if I had known that my odds were less than 1 in 300, I wouldn't have even tried. But it turned out well, and I advanced to step 2 for $125. There were serious MTT players there, but there were always few of us playing in the middle of the night, with a maximum of 9 people in competition, and it ended up with an overlay of around $1,500, I believe. The cards came, the bluffs worked, and in the end, I had to sweat it out with 3 players because I pushed A6o against A9o with 13 BBs, and I won. Then it was heads-up against AllinPAV, but with double stack, I was more comfortable to put pressure on him, and after a successful bluff, I managed to knock him out with a standard K9s all-in, winning myself a ticket. I actually streamed the whole thing, and in the end, PAV even raided me; he was a really great gentleman. I hope he manages to qualify later on. You can watch the video here:

What's my goal in the tournament?
I'm focusing all my energy and preparation on surviving the first day because everyone who advances is already in the money. And even the smallest payout here will be around $15,000. If I can achieve this, I will have exceeded all my expectations. Ultimately, it's 1 in 8 chances... because the top 12 % advances. If this were to happen, the 10k challenge would be completed right away. That's why I didn't play all week; instead, I spent my time studying and working.
And although this is a super big tournament, I think mental preparation is the key. I've looked into ICM strategies a bit, and I don't know yet what the stream will be like tomorrow, but I might prepare with a review and some studying.
So, save the date: Sunday at 18:30 CET time for the Hungarian stream (Pokerakédémia), and at 20:30 CET, we switch to English because the big tournament begins!

I really like to watch your twitch stream. I learned a good GTO base from your game. Then I used DTO and GTO wizard to improve my game. I have a 90% Gto score over 20k hands in gto wizard. Thanks!

i saw the stream (now) and it was amazing. How can you not stop your cash game tables when you are playing for a 5k Buyin Headsup? I'd tell my family to leave the building and call police to stop the traffic outside to let me concentrate on the tourney...

Bankroll Challenge Announcement: Starting Monday, July 29, 2024!
I'm excited to announce that I'll be starting a new bankroll challenge and sharing my progress on Twitch! The goal is to bank $10,000 following these rules:
Bankroll Management Rules:
NL10: Play until $500 profit
NL25: Play until $1,000 profit
NL50: Play until next $3,000 profit
NL100+: Play for the rest of the challenge
Depending on how I feel, I might move back down to previous limits if necessary!
Challenge Objectives:
Build a new Twitch channel: Engage and entertain viewers with poker content.
Demonstrate my playstyle: Showcase my strategies and techniques on 9-max ante tables.
Improve my game: Stay disciplined and continuously study to enhance my poker skills.
Create a community: Develop a Discord server where I share my 9-max ante guidance, including ranges, mental game aspects, goal setting, and more.
Track progress: Share daily graphs and hands for discussion to show my current progress.
Future Aims:
Expand the community: Get more streamers to join the Twitch channel so we can have more fun and variety.
Diversify content: Include other formats like Rush and MTTs to offer a wider range of poker content.
About Me:
I am on a big journey in poker. I have been playing since 2008, but I started taking it seriously only three years ago. I set a goal to build a house worth $250,000 and finance it entirely through poker. The plans for our house (including the electrical plan, machinery plan, civil engineering, etc.) are just done and paid for from my winnings. My yearly expectations and progress have been:

Blog: 50$ to 250k$
It is the first day of my poker challenge, and it started with a couple of significant problems. I forgot my laptop's 240W power cable and had to order a new one for $50, arriving tomorrow. Despite this, I managed a one-hour session, playing 200 hands on six tables and made a $25 profit. Then my laptop died. 🤷♂️ However, I later realized I had excluded NL10 from my challenge calculations. Lol. 🤷♂️
Additionally, I have a Day 2 tournament on GG, a $108 mystery bounty, which I'll be playing from my phone. So, I'll focus on studying and getting mentally more prepared for the next sessions. Fuck my luck. Lol.
