The Deal is back with same jackpot. I don't see any promotions regarding it.
Apparently it works now that it gives the split to players who played it last 490 hours not 12 hours. Massive change in terms of conditions.
Just click The Deal and then "I" and go to last page to see for yourself.
I am still giving benefit of doubt to PokerStars, I am contacting their support right now
The 490 hours thing is an odd timescale to use. Not even a neat day or half-day increment.
I wonder if it's an initial setting applied to when the game disappeared, so that no-one is caught out by it suddenly returning with little fanfare, and that it will be adjusted back to the usual 12 hours in a few days time. It's a very weird change if otherwise.

That makes sense — I'll check later
My first shot at it worked fairly well...

Good guess.
My last recorded play before the shutdown was 2023-08-23 21:00
This morning I played at 2023--09-13 09:00
The time difference is 20.5 days — or 492 hours
Not exact, but close enough

On the same info screen, it appears that the subsidiary prizes are no longer all $1000

I can't post external links to show picture but I got this email:

Hello
Thank you for contacting us regarding the Deal.
We want to inform you that the Deal has not changed.
You are displaying right now a different time in the 50% share of the jackpot because the Deal has been down since August 24th.
It will only be like that until 17:30 ET today then will revert to last 12 hours.
This was done to cover the players who played the Deal in the period before the Deal was taken down. If we had left as 12 hours and the jackpot hits, they would not receive a share so would miss out (because the 12 hours counts actual time not Deal active time). As it is set up now anyone will receive a jackpot share if they played in the last 12 hours the Deal was available.
We hope this clarifies.
If there's anything else we can do for you, please just let us know.
Regards,
Alessandro

Also check your Challenges tabs everyone. Fuck me, I don't like this at all.
I am still battling Stars and I will try to update you as I do.

Not a bad start. Maybe they will change back when the deal is running for a longer period again.
Indeed. The winner of the jackpot will be happy for sure, but money isn't everything off course.

Money cannot buy happiness, but it can by a really nifty place next door.
Highest return to non winners ever from my memory - a nice surprise this morning.... was fearing we would get much less...

Well done sir. Now it willl take a lot of ttime when the jackpot is huge again.
It's a little bit funny that after a technical issiue that taked around 2 weeks that the jackpot burst shortly after.
