How to turn T$1000 into $10 000 cash

Hi everyone,

This past week I was focusing mainly on the Bounty Builder Main Event, I played a lot of satellite to this event, but unfortunately I did not managed to qualify to it. ( In hindsight I could have payed the buy-in, since I played almost $100 worth of satellites to try and qualify , and still didn't qualify )
In total for this challenge I played 108 tournaments this week, with some small results on some of the tournaments, so I managed to limit my loses...:sifflote:

Study wise I haven't had time to study at all this week, which is not good , so this week since I will not play that much except for the weekend when I will be putting more time into gameplay , I will try to recover the lost study time. I need to make the weekly schedule again and stick to it, so that is the plan for this upcoming week.

Not much of an update this week since I played very few tournaments, 70th from which 38 where satellites. I also don't know how much poker I will play for the next couple of weeks (the reason is that I am building a house so that and work is taking all my time), but I will keep you posted if I have any notable results.

Probably I will play only late at night and maybe only some freerolls, I don't want to blow my bankroll just by playing reckless and when I am tired. And if I can not study properly I wont be playing that much.

Good luck to for You, with this hands AA I have on start last month first three times in row lose AA all in preflop. I play bounty builder one of Saturday edition but nearly 150 place bust out after all in preflop with AKs and get call from QJs. This bounty builders are specific on microstakes.

Yes I know, but this is happening for me in the $11, $22 and $109. So I guess it is all about luck in that point.

I was so close to win a tournament...I haven't won one in a while. Soon.....:thinking:

I got heads up and I could not win a hand.... Still a nice result.

For the past week I played only 15 tournaments that are not freerolls...so, like I was talking last week my numbers of tournaments will go down for the next couple of weeks. I also played some freerolls and on Sunday I tried to qualify to multiple tournaments, which I managed to do.

I'm really happy with the way I play lately, but like most of you know in poker luck is also a big factor, especially in pre-flop all in situations. I would love to get some luck in this low and mid tournaments that I play. maybe soon.

Played a few hands against you last night, its a pity I couldn't clear the spin round and make the FT. How you finding battles? I've been playing a lot more of them and I am not as put off from spins as I used to be, I actually like the whole format now.

I like them a lot...I'm thinking off starting to grind them a lot more. It's nice that I can play them anytime and it does not take long (not like regular tournaments) and I usually play 4 tables at the same time.

This week I played 41 tournaments and 78 satellites. During the week I played only 2 or 3 tournaments a day, mainly when I got back home in the evening. But on the weekend I was grinding, Saturday I played a lot, but with no decent results On Sunday the main focus was the Sunday Million (so I used the $109 ticket to registered into it. )

Also I got back to my study schedule and it worked out well especially in the Sunday Million where I played pretty good. Unfortunately after around 4 hours off play, I managed to have a decent stack (120 BB ), but I think I got a little greedy and called some shoves from the small stacks (19 BB - 28BB ) too light and hurt my stack a lot.

I managed to get some bounties, but unfortunately this was the hand that ended my tournament around the money bubble (I'm saying around because there where some hundreds players that needed to exit before the $ ).

In this week I played 144 tournaments in total (104 sit & go's satellites and 40 tournaments ), in my case I like to play 16 players sit & go's to the main tournaments that I want to play. It's a fast and easy way to qualify with a bit less then you would pay if you would buy-in directly. I usually qualify from the 2nd or 3rd time, with small exceptions.

Results wise this week was a great one. I managed to run deep in some nice tournaments, but still no final table yet . Here are some of the results:

I tried to qualify to Friday daily special Bounty Builder $33 from a $4.40 sit & go and I managed to qualify from the second attempt and after that I had my biggest result of this challenge I was so close to the final table....with around 18 players left I was first, but unfortunately I made some questionable call against some very small stacks and lost 2 all ins. (AJ vs QQ and 66 vs JJ). After that I was pretty much card dead and after about an hour and a half I was left with 9 BB and shoved from the BU and got called by the BB because I had the biggest bounty from the tournament.

He called my JQ shove with 54s and I lost :ROFLMAO: when he got his straight on the river. At least I had a very nice result.

Nice results, I play some tournaments but I lose more of them with better hands when go all in and go out. Now I haven't motivation to play tournament too many variance unfair for me. Good luck in next times.

Thank you for your reply. What are you playing? Is cash games more helpful for you?

Yes I play more cash games and this can help too in tournaments strategy. When I start play poker I play more often tournaments on PS when was a lot of different type tournaments (start 2013-2014). The best result/win prize from tournaments are bounty from tournament 109$ entry (one play this type) next 3/250 1$ tournament on PS and in top 20 on knockout tournament on PS too (two of three them are years ago). I post some hands from tournaments too on hand disscusion forum.

Nice I started the other way. I was playing mainly cash and then I made the jump to tournaments.

For me my tournament results are bad and play micro tournaments are frustrated. I lose a lot of pots with waiters which for example cold call open raise with K8o and check-call flop QJ6 and get runner runner straight or when I have nearly 15bb with AQ and get all in preflop/call all in preflop and opponent has AK...

Sorry for the late update but I didn't have time to post much lately. Not much to say for this challenge, as most of you who are readying my updates know, I was away for two weeks and managed to play only some freerolls. I got home last Friday night and on the weekend I needed some rest. On Sunday I played some small satellites to the Sunday million and Sunday storm, but I did not get to qualify so I decided to call it a night.

The good news is that on last Monday I managed to finish second in the daily CC freeroll after a nice Romanian heads up with @gabryyyel31. GG to him for wining the tournament. Unfortunately I did not take a picture since I was playing from my phone I forgot

Now I'm back home and I will start grinding again. Also I need to study a lot more because I kind of neglected this part in the last weeks.

I got nasty flu some of days ago and I'm feeling sick still also I'm not playing that much in this period...and Pokerstars lobby for me it gone crazy.... here is a video of that. Pokerstars Lobby I raise a ticket to Pokerstars support about this. And they said that is a known issue and they work on it.

Hi everyone, quick update on this challenge this week.

I haven't played only a few tournaments because I am grinding cash games on GGPoker, this Christmas promotion that they have now is amazing. I managed to get some C$ and started playing cash games again and my bankroll on this platform is moving up a lot. So my spare time this holidays I will grind cash games like crazy. ♠_biggrin: The games are so easy if you have a good cash strategy.
