Both villains high vpip type. BU has been limping a lot of time and dont have raise range if I remember right.

This was probably bit questionable raise preflop? From BU versus limp I would raise as default all day long but perhaps bit wide from SB?

Well we do hit bottom set with gs. I actually misread flop thinking I had bdfd as well in game. But I think even without we are fine cbetting. Especially BU was also very passive so cant ecxpect him to do betting. So I cbet and BB calls.

Turn SPR is 2.5 and we have bit nasty spot in a way that looot of rivers change nuts. Now with pot turn barrel river SPR is half on river which is ok but its still bit nasty as... all non pairing rivers change the nuts. So I thought to check and try to get x-shove in. I thought there is decent change turn T is interacting in some way with BB call range if he had example some Qx etc. so I could expect to see stab more often. Didnt really have read on how active this guy was postflop though.

Well I think with bit deeper stacks I like x-r even more to avoid those tough river spots in big pot.

Check is wp. We know where we are base on what he does. When he checks turn he has the draw. When he bets he has something like 2 pair. Sometimes strong Draw as well. We avoid difficult decisions on river.

Draw miss on River we have an easy Velue Bet or check raise. Duno whats better

At the same time I think turn Bet is better with everything in range. Most of the time we have broadways. He definetly has Some QTxx sometimes. I think we have range advantage on turn. Probably AAxx can be turn check, but we dont iso preflop only with strong ones.

Just call pre. That hand is not strong, so lot of the possible value comes from FE postflop. Versus high VPIP players you don't have it. I would just complete this preflop.

Postflop the question is would they bluff river with that SPR? Some high VPIP players don't really bluff, so you can pot turn and fold river if it's nasty and opp shoves. If you turn goes checked you still have that hard decision on rivers if opponent bets.

High VPIP limpers are often passive postflop too. Without reads that opponent likes to stab vs turn checks I wouldn't try to induce a bet. But I think it's preflop hand selection that is the most questionable decision here.

Edit. Topis says ds, hand history shows ss?

Fixed topic. Difference though if turn goes checked is smaller pot for river decision.

Smaller pot is not a problem. I think on this turn we need to Bet again. To good hand to continue agression with our range.

I am not sure if I am missing something. A442ss is quite bad hand. In PPT rankings it's 56% and in solver it's mixed fold/open from CO and open from BU (but with quite low EV). So in reality it's pretty weak hand. I would get the raise barely if CO opens and you raise IP, but even then I think it would be somewhat marginal. The hand has crappy value outside nut flush, and versus limper we have lower FE postflop in general. So the hands we play versus limpers have increased value components and decreased FE.

When you are oop, it's harder to get value for any made hand. So the few value situations become lower value situations. I just can't really find a way to play this hand more profitably versus limper with raise than just complete, for an example. We know that BB likes to see flops, so it's going to be 3way very often. Another reason to just fold the hand, as 44 loses value when the number of opponents is doubled.

Yeah preflop was too loose. Probably was thinking of just building pot in case we connect as danger of 3bet is very small and BU was playing very passive postflop as well. Also reason I would not care that much about how my range is doing on this flop. This guy is not stabbing on BU 40+% of time as solver would. More like 20% at most I would say. So we just need to bet more ourself to build that pot. As said in open post I also though I had bdfd in game somehow when cbetting.

Turn I like check as default line without passive read on BB. We want to have some x-r in our range and on dynamic boards afaik best ones are strong made hands with bad side cards (set, top 2 on this one) or potentially sometimes total overkills that block heavily stuff to continue versus pot bet. That said for this SPR pot is totally fine as well. If we had more like SPR 4 we create very uggly spots with pot bet imo. Especially versus aggro type turn check is really nice as lot ot people dont really have x-r range in heroes shoes as top of their check range is like Q5 at best.

Well at least I had not mentioned BB being passive in open post.

You said both are high VPIP, without further info (being aggro) I always assume they are call-happy passive players. :)
