Partypoker withdrawal hidden fee?

I'm canadian and playing in USD. Withdrawal converted in CAD (from partypoker). They send money in CAD. Conversion is shown prior withdrawal. And my bank account is indeed in CAD.

I always noticed past years that i was not receiving the right amounts when doing a withdrawal but never truly investigated. I thought it was a currency conversion change. This month i did 2 different withdrawal so could compare and figure. Well, it seems like there is a fixed $25.00 CAD fee on the deposits. Anyone aware of this? Could it be my bank account? I don't see why my bank account in CAD would take fees for a CAD deposit. It's very strange.

Withdrawal 1 was CAD 681.55, received 656.55 - exactly $25 less

Withdrawal 2 was CAD 270.42, received 245.42 - exactly $25 less

Just got the proof that i'm taken a $25 fixed fee to withdrawal/deposit. I contacted support but i do not expect transparency. It's almost impossible that it's my bank, it's a CAD deposit in a CAD bank account, as a canadian with a canadian bank account. Anyone have info about this shady fee? Does partypoker charge a $25 hidden fee to do the conversion?

I also don't like it that PartyPoker holds my funds in $CAD, unlike all other rooms where my funds on deposit are in US$
I have not tried to withdraw recently.

Please let us know what support says when they reply.

I can withdrawal in USD. I withdrawal in CAD because my bank account is in CAD. If i deposit in USD i think my bank would charge me fees. But actually if partypoker takes $25 to do the conversion, and it's hidden, it's truly awful.

So yeah as expected. Support says nothing. This is VERY shady.

Please be informed that the withdrawal in question was requested in CAD, however your account currency is in USD, hence the FX rate has been charged accordingly.

Kindly note that we do not charge for withdrawals.

I'm canadian with a CAD bank account. My bank do not charge CAD $25.00 of fees for a deposit in CAD. Also my bank would deposit the full amount and show that i'm charged a fee in a second transaction. I'll call my bank but It MUST be partypoker. This is such a scam.

I always noticed i was receiving less. Now i have proofs that there's a flat hidden fee.

I contacted the support a second time and just receive generic replies about checking the conversion rate. This is brainless asf. I have withdrawal receipts in CAD and deposit in CAD showing exactly $25 is missing on both transactions.

Hi Leroux,
Everyone takes fees on the exchange rate. The best thing is to do interac transactions. Yesterday on $600 us it cost me +/- 5$ CND fee on the exchange rate (vs the rate that google told me) on ggpoker.

But if you go to direct bank transfers in my memory the fee of $25 is normal. I have cashout +/- 2k on party this summer and the fees I remember via interac were reasonable.

Hey! The conversion rate was already made. Partypoker conversion was like 1.31 while everywhere showing like 1.35. The fee took is between the withdrawal and deposit. Like partypoker show a deposit of 681.55 CAD, but i receive $25 less. Second show 270.42 CAD, again $25 less. There's a difference between what is sent and what is deposited, and both is a flat $25. On my second withdrawal because of that and it was a lower amount, it made my conversion rate being around 1.15. I withdrawal 205.37 US, party show they convert to send 270.42 CAD, and i receive 255.42 CAD.

But if you go to direct bank transfers in my memory the fee of $25 is normal. I have cashout +/- 2k on party this summer and the fees I remember via interac were reasonable.

They only offer bank transfer option now. Would it be party or my bank taking that $25 tho?

If you're in Canada, try using the wallet "MuchBetter"
If you're using wire transfer, then there will be a fee — but it will be a percentage, not a flat fee

OK, I'm curious now.
I will attempt a withdrawal this morning to see what happens.
I say attempt because I might not have played there enough to meet the wagering requirements.

I had two options for the withdrawal:
:diamond:  InstaDebit
:diamond:  Bank Transfer

If I choose InstaDebit, the withdrawn funds go to that online service, and from there they could be used for other online transactions, or they could be transferred to my associated bank account. Instadebit's FAQ does not mention withdrawal fees.

Bank Transfer is a standard wire transfer direct to my bank. On checking, my bank will charge a flat $CAD15 per transaction.

There are two other payment methods available, but to withdraw using either of those methods, I would first need to deposit using that method.

My preferred method — MuchBetter — is not an option on PartyPoker.

Holy! I just double checked and it was not showing because withdrawal method for me was always pre-selected to bank transfer! So i was using that. That's so stupid. Next time i'll try e-transfer.

Also after digging on my bank i found that:

The fees associated with Laurentian Bank’s wire transfer service are as follows:

Min. of $20 for a wire transfer in Canadian funds
Min. of $30 for a wire transfer in another currency (fees to be converted in $US if the funds are debited from a $US account)
$15 if received from another financial institution

So that's indeed my bank who seems to take those $25.00 CAD everytime. What a scam. While e-transfer is the same thing with no fee. And partypoker offer a better conversion rate... Just checked and USD to CAD bank transfer right now is 1.32, while e-transfer is 1.40. It's a different rate for each method. I just lost like $70 from those 2 withdrawal for nothing. Anything to do at this point, like cancel, i guess it's just lost because it's already deposited?

Actually after re checking again. I can deposit e-transfer but not withdrawal. When i click on adding the method, it switch to deposit. Would it be possible that we need to do a deposit to unlock the withdrawal option or something?

Edit: i contacted the support and got told that to register a withdrawal method, it needs to be a deposit method first. I would need to do a minimal deposit of $10 US, but would i have fees on that e-transfer since i send CAD to US account? So complicated for nothing.

In some part these rules are imposed by international anti-money-laundering conventions.
