Villain recently joined table but seems reggy type. Has been on active side preflop. I would fold preflop in e.g. BuvsBlind 3bet spot without nut suit but I think HU we should be at least theory wise calling?

Flop I would have just raised versus cbet but villain check. Went for half pot sizing.

Turn is super ugly turning my hand into air more or less. Still I will have fair amount of 9x and some boats. My hand lacks showdown value but has 8 outs to improve to very strong hand so feels like sort of mandatory combo to keep aggression on. Tiny detail I didnt really think of in game is also our A♠: which doesnt block any nbdfd combo which should be good.

River comes K which is potentially worst card outside of 9. We block AA with A so it make KK bit more likely overpair. I would still shove any boat for value. A9 prolly just checking as that would block AA.

This seems like a fold pre.

What's the rake structure like?

What rakeback are you getting?

Also, might be an open fold, not sure, I am going to check Vision later.

As played, I'd check back the flop.

Why do you prefer bet over check otf?

And why did you choose this particular hand to bluff with ott?

As played, I'd jam the river, but I am not liking it at all. You can expect lots of Kx to call. And he might still have AA (although u block it), but if he's a thinking player, he must have some good hands in his flop checking range.

No draws really busted, expect open enders, so I'd be cautious with bluffs here. It's very easy to overbluff and villain might call you down with something like QQxx, JJxx, naked Kxxx.

Actually having A in our hand is not good.

I'll post the solution from Vision later.

Rake is 3.5% with 3bb cap in 2-3 handed I think. Rakeback is pretty low with my volume. Dont really know exactly.

Well hand is very often best one on such dry structure and we dont mind to get protection. E.g. if villain cbets its imo pretty standard to just pot raise. At least in SPR 4 where villain should also pot a lot of his range. Now SPR is bit higher though. Though perhaps this doesnt apply to HU as much if 3bet range is on wider side.

Turn barrel feels quite natural as we have combination of blockers to nutty hands, very low showdown value and fair amount of outs to improve. 8 outs to boat or straight and A is also sometimes good. I would give up river for sure if I had like 567x type hand which make less viable river bluff for blocking draws more.

U were right, I was wrong

Even here, we call almost all of A543 type of hands... Wow, you really know your ranges. I am the one who should study hard :pcuser:

Difference though is that in HU solver 3bets like 20%? I think most players me included won't 3bet that much even versus active opponent. So if call pre is close it might be better to fold in reality.

But yeah there is not that much folding going on in HU having position and SPR staying higher compared to 3handed+ table. Higher SPR meaning higher advantage from position. Well not that we are folding that much in general when in position in this game with 100bb+ stacks.

PS: Versus normal 3bets that is. In squeeze spots fold might get as high as 70% gto wise in high rake games.

Well this time villain had KK so river was indeed bad one. But I think there is high chance I would have won on lot of other river cards. KK being decent possibility is also reason why I mentioned K being one of worst rivers.

I think we should 3b about 18%, including all of the double paired hands and also hands that block some part of his 4b range and so on.

But we should defend just about 60 % on BB vs RFI, which is highly rake dependent.

On higher stakes there's some limping going on, because of rake structure.

Usually ppl 3b just about 5-7 %, which is waaaaaaaay toooooooo low.

Well of course those are in his range. Question is if he has KK or 9x+ too often. But I think people tend to cbet 9x very often here so not that worried of trips. But yeah it's not like we want to bluff with Kx as those have reasonable showdown value.

AAxx is auto 4b and KKxx defo in his range. Most of them are flats.

But AKKx are 4bs. Blocker effect.
