Hey Bkbart.

Got your invite. Sounded a bit nerdy though. LOL. Just kidding.

-15bI thats a pretty bad downswing. sss is a marginal strategy. Even 1 mistake per 100 hands can totally destryoy your winrate. If your not sure you played hands correctly post some hands in the forum to get some feedback. Not playing a whole lot of nl atm, Im currently learning the fl game. Need to follow the shc exactly. Hands that got me into alot of trouble are aj, aq and kq. Try not to play those hands in too early of a position. Aq is my worst hand on nl sss believe it or not. Good luck to you.

Matt.

played another 1000 hands of break even poker last night.

I also posted some interesting hands that I thought I might have played poorly. In a few cases I was too aggressive after the flop when I didnt have a made hand. Also someone recommended a more advanced chart for adjusting to known opponents raises according to their PFR%. I copied it down and will follow it. Also I have downloaded the equilator to become familiar with ranges and equity.

Hello BkBart,

I stumbled upon your Blog, it is very good that you have a blog to track your results because you often see where you went wrong before showing it to your readers ;)

I am looking forward to your progress and as far as I see your sample hands, I only can say that you keep getting better and better!

Best regards,
Gerv

Thanks for the words of encouragement Gerv

I went down to $10 on titan playing SSS and dont want to deposit again so I decided to try some $1 sng's instead.

26 games and sharkscope has me as roi 22% but zero profit. I think it is more like $5-6 profit so maybe they only update once aday?

I will do SnGs until $50 and then do SSS again. I really want to play SSS and show a profit, I think it will help me in my long term goal of NL BSS.

I did lots of ICM training and now get about 91%. I will keep practicing on that before each session until I am consistent 98%. I think 91% is more than enough to beat $1 though.

All BR's are pretty much the same except titan is at $16

Well that was quick

In my pre-session ICM training I got 94% over 100 hands.

BkBart44
51 games played
55% ROI
$26 Profit -
iPoker

This combined with a 5th in a $3 MTT for around $30

and my new Titan BR = $73

Man those SnG are weak. Especially when I run good.

Back to SSS tommorow

Well my computer power cord broke and I had a problem with FTP so I have taken a bit of time away. Both problems have been resolved and I am ready to get back to the grind. I do have some things to report from before these two problems.

First of all I entered a FTP points tourney that was a satellite for the sunday brawl and cashed it out for $250 or so. I have withdrawn $1100 for FTP into my moneybookers due to the problems people have been having with them.

Also I have been playing some sit and gos and after 186 games have an ROI of 28%.

I have signed up for the guiness world record attempt tourney for next Sunday and am looking forward to that.

So I think a bankroll update is needed.

FTP=$200
moneybookers=$1175
Titan=$147.17
Party=$30.00
Stars=$57.73
BetRoyal=$30

So Total= $1640

Just thought it was a time for an update, nothing has changed to much. I have been playing somewhat regularly but havnt gone deep in any big tourneys or had any big results in cash games or SnGs. My Roi for SnGs is still in the high teens low 20s area and SSS is coming along, I think I am allmost ready to jump back in to BSS. I havnt been reading or studying enough poker though just some playing and some reading on here. Posted a few hands too.

Anyways I will keep grinding and hopefully I can push through the 2k barrier I seam to be having troubles with.

I have been playing abit of everything for the last week or so. Lots of SSS some BSS and some SNGs and MTTs. Things have not been going good. I have been dealt some serious bad beats playing SSS and cant seam to get things going in any of the MTTs. SNGs are still going good.

I recieved $30 bonus on Sunday so that was nice ($10 more than usual). That helped abit with the BR but I am down $100 or so since my last BR update. To be honest I am a little shaken and lost some confidence especially in MTTs. I think I will go to the library and try to dig up a good poker book I havnt read yet to try and get something going.

Its been a long time since my last update. I have been playing alot and am very happy with my SSS game. I am slowly working my way back into BSS but have become a bit of a bonus whore so I usually mix the two strategies.

I have found my way over to bwin and am amazed at how fishy it is and how much easier the game is to beat there than on tilt or titan. I started off with $100 and have worked it up to $627 in around a month. I am also 90% clear on the $500 bonus.

I am looking forward to clearing that bonus and playing some MTTs on stars and tilt for a few day or weeks. It seams to me that one can keep entering bonus codes into bwin so I think I will stick there for cash games for awhile.

SO lets calculate my new br

moneybookers= $1375
bwin= $627
stars=$67
party=$30
tilt=$90

for a total of $$$2.2k

Hi bkbart,

It's nice to see you're still alive :f_biggrin: We were preparing to assemble a rescue team :f_p:

Regarding your results on bwin, I can only say "Congratulations!" because it's definitely a nice evolution :f_biggrin: Looking forward to more updates from your bwin adventures.

Best regards,

well I have come to the realization that Titan is not good for SSS. I tried going back there since they gave me a bonus and my bwin bonus was finished. After doing pretty good using SSS at Bwin I have had 3 losing sessions in a row at titan and -$130 even with the bonus. And it wasnt just variance there is a notable difference in play. It is not nearly as swingy on titan more of a constant down. at bwin I somewhat regularly swing $100 up or down in a session whereas titan is mostly $30-$50 down every session and that is playing twice as many tables on titan aswell!!!

NO MORE SSS AT TITAN.... there now I have said it so it wont happen.

I will just work on the bonus with dirty dozen SNGs which I know I can beat from previous play. Maybe take a stab at BSS NL20.

If I am itching for SSS I will just play at bwin with or without bonus

br is around 2.45K

Havent done an update for awhile. Things have been going very well at the bwin cash games. I am back to BSS and have way more confidence in my game since breaking it down and starting from scratch with SSS. I think SSS can only take you so far though and that is why im stepping it up to BSS. I am doing good in my MTTs aswell (second in a smallish bwin MTT) no huge results but I am making deep alot so the payouts will come.

I am working on the 1K bonus for bwin and Titan keeps giving me bonuses too. I think I will stick with bwin mostly over the next week or two, maybe do a SnG session or two at Titan.

Might aswell spit out the numbers and call it an update

Moneybookers=$1080
bwin=$1775 .....baaaallller
ftp=$430
titan=$20 (not sure if this is temporary or not they just gave it to me)
stars=$25

new baller roll is $$$$3.33K

I hit the 3K mark at bwin and withdrew $1k into my moneybookers so I figure it is as good a time as any for an update.

I have been lacking somewhat in the studying aspect of my learning but have been grinding lots of hours on the table and winning so its all good.

I might get laid off this winter so if that happens ill do some studying and maybe even try learning a new game like omaha or stud. but for now I will keep playing mostly NLHE full ring cash games and NLHE tourneys on sunday/saturday.

Bwin =$2135
Full Tilt=$293
Stars=$318
Titan=$117
moneybookers=$1593
pokerstrategy cash=$55

New and improved bankroll is $4511 USD

holly shitaky that is even better than I thought. At this rate I may just reach my goal of 10K by new years

I played a session last night and had the same problem as you, by the end of my 150 hand session my VPIP was 29 whilst my PFR was only 11 :/ It was because I was getting loads and loads of marginal hands like KJ, KT, AT, QT etc. I ended up losing quite a lot of money just because I lost focus and played like a donk :(

Well overdue for an update me thinks

Havent been playing too much due to work and social life. Did make it down to vegas for a day and lost in a $50 27 person.

Im am on a fast right now to detox so I have lots of time to play and have been putting in some good sessions.

I also hit 3 basketball parlays recently for $800 or so total.

Anyways lets do some adding here

Moneybookers $2170
Titan $115.96
Bet 365 $348
europoker $791.28
bwin $ 2401
stars $ 545.09
ftp $543.81
pokerstrategy TAF $55

Total bankroll $$$$6970.14

I think I might step up to some $100 ring games on On game network and $50 ring on the others. Also I will start playing more $20 tourneys and sit and gos and less $5 ones.

Good night last night.. went deep in a tourney and finished 8th for $430 on a $10 ft tourney.

Also bankrolling my brother paid off. I rolled him $50 and as soon as he hit $270 he returned $70. Wanted to cash out some so I took $300 out of moneybookers to see how it works out. My first withdrawal.

Only bad news missed a 12 to 1 basketball parlay by one game but it was the last game so I hedged it to break even.

Well its been a long time. 14 years. I ended up spending most of my bankroll on a trip to Australia. I never got back into poker until a month or so ago. Man things have changed in the poker world.

I have been watching HCL and the Lodge cash games and playing Pace poker at WPT clearing a $600 rake back bonus. I have been playing ok at times. I think mostly too many bad calls and playing to many hands out of position.

Hopefully posting here will help keep me accountable.

I deposited $600 two month ago. 50k hands in and I am pretty much even. Lets fire this up again.

Bankroll=$600

Well not a good week. Down $750. Some big losses calling with two pair on wet board. Some loose pre-flop calls. Mostly I have to slow down and take a little longer to make big decisions. Less big calls with top pair type hands. Lets turn it around this week.
