Sometimes, of course, you can also do everything correctly, and still lose big. But it is good to see every loss as a learning opportunity, and objectively analyze where you went wrong and where you could have done better.
In general, you seem to have a very good mental game from what I can tell so far. Keep it up, many people are having difficulties with this. Failing at the mental game can turn even someone with great theoretical knowledge into a massive losing player.
