Quickly went through previous month posts. There was spot with AJo in Sunday million where you open raised UTG AJo and faced 3bet. This is indeed easy fold as if this was 9handed table AJo should be pretty much bottom of your open range from Axo hands. In general though being OOP AJo tends to be 4bet or fold hand preflop. Perhaps not in SBvsBB scenario though. As late position open it's likely fine to call 3bets while in position.

Hi thank you for your reply, I do agree that it's the bottom off my range AJo.

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Yesterday I played some SCOOP edition regular tournaments....first one was the $27 Saturday Eliminator in which I got out around the money bubble :f_frown:, I managed to get just one bounty, but on Pokerstars yesterday was a rough day for me.... I couldn't hold anything...lost all my all-ins except the one that I got the bounty and that was my opponent mistake. At least on GGPoker is going awesome, had some really nice results there.

Played also the $11 Mystery Bounty tournament, I late reg and started with 25BB, got a nice stack but lost it when I called in this hand:

PokerStars - 175/350 Ante 50 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BB: 31,525 (90.1 bb)
UTG: 11,884 (34 bb)
UTG+1: 13,714 (39.2 bb)
Hero (MP): 18,737 (53.5 bb)
MP+1: 4,520 (12.9 bb)
CO: 12,780 (36.5 bb)
BTN: 5,194 (14.8 bb)
SB: 13,043 (37.3 bb)

8 players post ante of 50, SB posts 175, BB posts 350

Pre Flop: (pot: 925) Hero has J♠: J♣:
2 folds, Hero raises to 770, MP+1 raises to 4,470 and is all-in, CO raises to 12,730 and is all-in, 3 folds, Hero calls 11,960

Flop: (30,855, 3 players) 5♦: 4♠: 3♦:

Turn: (30,855, 3 players) 2♦:

River: (30,855, 3 players) 6♦:

Results: 30,855 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: 5♦: 4♠: 3♦: 2♦: 6♦:

Hero shows J♠: J♣:: (Straight, Six High)
Main Pot: [14,335]: (Pre 19%, Flop 9%, Turn 5%)
Side Pot: [16,520]: (Pre 56%, Flop 58%, Turn 7%)

CO shows K♠: A♦:: (Flush, Ace High)
Main Pot: [14,335]: (Pre 36%, Flop 40%, Turn 90%)
Side Pot: [16,520]: (Pre 44%, Flop 42%, Turn 93%)

MP+1 shows Q♠: Q♦:: (Flush, Queen High)
Main Pot: [14,335]: (Pre 45%, Flop 52%, Turn 5%)

CO wins 30,855

Would you guys call here? This is way before the money places....but late reg was closed.

I don't know if I will be playing poker the upcoming week since today I will be leaving to Sweden, but if I do, I will let you all know. Also the weekly update will be back on the 20th of May. :f_grin:

Take care and good luck at the tables. :gl:

In this spot with jacks I prefer fold here in the best scenario somebody has worse pockets and AK/AQ.

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Still in Sweden, I wanted to play some tournaments today but unfortunately since I have a Romanian account I'm not allowed to play while I am here :f_frown: . There were some nice tournaments today, that I would have loved to play. I guess nothing for me until I get back home.

Have fun and take care everyone. :gl:

Hi everyone, :welcome:

I got back home on Thursday night and took the day off Friday since I was felling tired after a long flight ( had delays in both flights X( ), so Friday I looked over the SCOOP schedule and I decided to skip the day.

Yesterday I played only 1 SCOOP tournament, and it was the $5.50 Mystery Bounty and I did only played one bullet. I got out pretty quick after this hand:

PokerStars - 200/400 Ante 50 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

UTG+1: 63,606 (159 bb)
MP: 23,670 (59.2 bb)
MP+1: 17,935 (44.8 bb)
CO: 38,494 (96.2 bb)
Hero (BTN): 26,061 (65.2 bb)
SB: 43,515 (108.8 bb)
BB: 33,688 (84.2 bb)
UTG: 49,131 (122.8 bb)

8 players post ante of 50, SB posts 200, BB posts 400

Pre Flop: (pot: 1,000) Hero has Q♠: A♠:
fold, UTG+1 raises to 840, 3 folds, Hero raises to 2,480, 2 folds, UTG+1 raises to 63,556 and is all-in, Hero calls 23,531 and is all-in

Flop: (53,022, 2 players) J♠: 4♦: 3♥:

Turn: (53,022, 2 players) 3♦:

River: (53,022, 2 players) 8♠:

Results: 53,022 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: J♠: 4♦: 3♥: 3♦: 8♠:

UTG+1 shows A♥: K♠:: (One Pair, Threes)
(Pre 71%, Flop 82%, Turn 86%)

Hero shows Q♠: A♠:: (One Pair, Threes)
(Pre 29%, Flop 18%, Turn 14%)

UTG+1 wins 53,022

I do think it's a mistake to call AQs when you are so deep. What do you think?
After this hand I did not played any tournaments since I had 4 tournaments opened and played on GGPoker, I wanted to focus more on them.

Today I wanted to play early but I have some friends coming over from 4 PM so I think I will be playing only in the evening. :f_cry:

I will play Sunday Storm, I will play this SCOOP events and also the regular tournaments:

I won't be playing this week Sunday Million since I don't have time to properly qualify.

Take care and good luck at the tables. :gl:

Hello I think this AQs I fold here. In the best scenario I think he has here JJ/TT. After 3bet and fold here we have still enough stack to Play.

Weekly update no. 78 & 79

Played from 06.05.2024 to 19.05.2024

Hello everyone, :welcome:

This is the first weekly update since SCOOP started and it hasn't been a good start for me at all. We are at the halfway through and I did not have any decent result, :f_cry: but to be fair I was away for a week (it was weird that I could not play from Sweden :f_rolleyes: )

I was able to review the tournaments that I played and it seems that I do the same mistake, over and over again ( it seems that I don't fold enough against aggressive player, but more specifically when there is an A on the board ), so I have to work on that.

Also I have to change the satellite strategy and stop playing to many hyper-turbo 16 players, because it seems that I just waste money if I'm playing more then 2 per/tournament....so from now on if I do not get a ticket in the first two tries I will buy in directly. Played a lot this Sunday and I was better buying in directly to the SCOOP events I wanted to play. In this kind of satellites luck is a major factor.

On Sunday I played the Sunday Storm but I was out when I made a straight on the turn and my opponent hit a full house on the river :sifflote: :spit: after that I played one more tournament which was the $7.50 Bounty Builder but also in that one I got out before the money places.

This was the hand that took most of my stack and after that I was out in 4 hands:

PokerStars - 125/250 Ante 36 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

CO: 4,729 (18.9 bb)
BTN: 13,306 (53.2 bb)
Hero (SB): 8,939 (35.8 bb)
BB: 6,691 (26.8 bb)
UTG: 6,378 (25.5 bb)
UTG+1: 12,887 (51.5 bb)
MP: 10,586 (42.3 bb)
MP+1: 14,885 (59.5 bb)

8 players post ante of 36, Hero posts SB 125, BB posts 250

Pre Flop: (pot: 663) Hero has K♦: A♦:
6 folds, Hero raises to 625, BB calls 375

Flop: (1,538, 2 players) Q♥: 8♠: J♣:
Hero bets 523, BB raises to 6,030 and is all-in, Hero calls 5,507

Turn: (13,598, 2 players) 4♥:

River: (13,598, 2 players) 9♠:

Results: 13,598 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: Q♥: 8♠: J♣: 4♥: 9♠:

Hero shows K♦: A♦:: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 65%, Flop 79%, Turn 86%)

BB shows 9♥: 7♦:: (One Pair, Nines)
(Pre 35%, Flop 21%, Turn 14%)

BB wins 13,598

I saw that he does this "thing" on the flop and got away with it a lot, and I was happy to call it here. Maybe it was a mistake but I went with my read there....I was right until the river :mdr:

It was a brutal Sunday for me and I ended the night there on Pokerstars. Still played on GGPoker and had some nice results. :f_biggrin:

So after 2 weeks of SCOOP the bankroll is:

Played from 06.05.2024 to 19.05.2024

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $3318.82
Current Bankroll: $3239.58

Profit from last week: - $79.24

Goal: $10 000

Take care everyone and have a great week. :f_thumbsup:

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Monday and yesterday I did not have time to play any tournaments, work was chaotic since I came back, but I will try to play this tournament only today:

There is another one at 23:30 my time a $5.50 Mini Fenomeno but I think it is way to late and I have to be at the office tomorrow morning...so I don't want to be a zombie when I get there :mdr:

Also I will start to play some satellites to the Main Event.

Take care and good luck if you play today. :gl:

Hi everyone, :welcome:

Sorry for not posting for about a week, I just been busy with work and did not get to play much poker. I will post the weekly update tomorrow. It's a busy period for me at work and I will be traveling a lot for the next month so I have to think how to proceed moving forward.

I will be in countries where I will not be able to play poker form my Pokerstars account. I will have to figure something out, but I will let you all now.

Take care and good luck at the tables. :gl:

Weekly update no. 80 & 81

Played from 20.05.2024 to 02.06.2024

Hello everyone, :welcome:

In the last two weeks I played very few tournaments ( 18 to be exactly ) and ended the SCOOP early since I could not play the way I wanted. I end up loosing a small portion of the bankroll during this event, but is not that important since I am really happy with the way I played all my games. Here are some small cashes from this update:

The plan for the next couple of weeks is to study more....I will be away for a month because of work, but I will move my database on my laptop so I could study more when I have time off from work. I will do daily drills and also hand history review from the tournaments that I played last month....I will post some of them either here or in the HH section of this forum along with my thought process.

Games played....I don't know what I can play, but if I will be able to play some, I will, especially on the weekend evenings. During the week I might play only freerolls if time allows me.

Ended the SCOOP 2024 with a bankroll of:

Played from 20.05.2024 to 02.06.2024

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $3239.58
Current Bankroll: $3162.23

Profit from last week: - $77.35

Goal: $10 000

Take care everyone and good luck at the tables. :gl:

Hi everyone, :welcome:

Still away with my Job, but I managed to play Sunday the Low Main Event, it was a Mystery event and had 4 hours of late reg, so I managed to reg with half a hour left, so I was starting with 20bb. I managed to double up fast, but soon after the late reg. close I got out when my AKs got KO by the BBs KQo when the Q came on the flop.

During the week I did not have time to play. I played some freerolls from my phone ( between the breaks ) :mdr: :mdr: . I will be away still for a couple of weeks so no weekly updates soon. If I get to play and get a decent result I will post it.

Take care and good luck at the tables. :gl:

Monthly update

Weeks no. 82-83-84

Played from 03.06.2024 to 23.06.2024

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Since the beginning of the month I was away until yesterday. In this period I played mostly freerolls with some small buy-ins on the weekend since I had some spare time. In the first week the only notable result was in a $0.55 bounty Builder that I played on Saturday in which I finished 48th for a nice prize of $2.63 :mdr: Also in the first weekend I qualified to some $3.30 and $5.50 tournaments but no notable results.

Second week was the lowest by the no. of tournaments played...I played only 30 and some of them where the daily free tickets that I received from playing the game ( the $0.5 Power Path ones ), I managed to get some $1.50 tickets from them and eventually some $11 tickets.

The 3rd week I played the $11 Power Path tickets, but I did not get the Step 4 ( $109 tickets ), on Thursday evening I played a $0.55 satellite to the $11 Thursday Bounty and finished in the top 3 and got a ticket. I played the $11 Bounty Special and got some bounties but exited the tournament after this hand: :nh:

I got this tournament history just so I can review the way I played. I wanted to know what I could have done differently. What do you guys think? How would you have played this hand?

On Sunday evening I arrived home and I tried to qualify to some tournaments but gave up after 5-6 satellites since I did not want to just rush into a session, and start the week tired.

I'm happy to be home and start a proper grind again. I saw that on Pokerstars there is a Mystery Bounty Series and also on GGPoker there is the Micro Series....so I guess I got home in a good time to play. :f_biggrin:

I need to get back to studying; there's still a lot for me to learn. :f_thumbsup:

The Bankroll now is:

Played from 03.06.2024 to 23.06.2024

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $3162.23
Current Bankroll: $3149.72

Profit from last update: - $12.51

Goal: $10 000

Take care everyone and good luck at the tables. :gl:

Hi mariussica88,
I'm not sure but at these blinds I think you are far from the bubble. You have a nice stack and a great Flop. Your opponent's line is check/call, check/call, push all in. There can be many cards of the same suit in BB range when defending. I think pocket pair like 22,33,44,55,JJ,QQ,KK,AA can be removed from his Pre-Flop range and Flop play. You can make big bets 2/3 or more against huge stacked players and go all in on the Turn with the best hand.
Push on the River OOP after the flush come out is very strong. If you find a fold on the River, you remain in a good position in the tournament with 33BB. Far from the Push and Fold stage. You've lost 1/3 of your stack, this is not good, but you're still in the tournament.
I hope I have been helpful.

I agree with AlmyghtyTT. I think you played the hand great before the river. Unfortunately I don't see many hands that would go call/call/shove besides a flush. If you don't have any reads/notes on BB I think you should fold the river and have a healthy stack and a tournament to play in.

Yeah I think about crying fold on the river. This is most times flush.

Thank you for your feedback. You are right, I have to stop thinking that people are bluffing in this spots and just fold.
