What's up with not 3betting pre? You can make the nut flush draw on flop or turn (and you don't block K of hearts so he can make a worse good flush(draw)). Was it because you think you're too deep or because of history or metagame? Maybe calling is nice too if he's very aggressive (lot of implied odds without 3bet).

It's not because we were deep stacked.
AQs just plays well in position against a SB aggressor.
I've polarized my 3-bet range against SB open raises and AQs I call 80% of the time.

I prefer here on deep stacks top 3bet preflop on BB vs open SB preflop. You can get light calls or can continue to 4bet opponent. On the flop I raise with strong draw too. Turn here check is Good. On the river I fold here. Half pot size bets often arę for value I see.

Calling or 3betting seems both fine with AQs I think and is also villain depended what I would do.
Especially so deep I don't think we want to end up in a blind war with a hand that played well post-flop.
When all you're draws missed it will be tough to continue I think. You beat only busted draws and you block al lot of them.
