HI, I want to learn poker 6max from NL10. I don't know which room I should choose. Poker stars is currently unavailable in my country. GGpoker - I dont want to play because I can not use my HUD. So what are other poker rooms which offer big amount of players and are currently popular?

It depends also where you come from. I life in the Netherlands and than is GGPoker the only serious option with a lot of traffic.
You can check the bonus options here: Bonus offers.

KKpoker has a big player pool but is largely supporting Android-mobile-only playing. Then there is iPoker with built-in HUD but that is not exactly "big network" compared to Stars and GG. I think only network that allows HUD in 2024 is PokerStars.

Last I checked, only KKpoker does not have a HUD yet. You can run most commercial HUD in ipoker and pokerstars.

You're short on options...

Could just use a VPN and get in on some other countries games...

Or play tourneys and write notes. Exploiting is way better in tourneys than in cash. And on GG they are great tourneys.

Although this might work, be absolutely certain that it does not contravene the terms and conditions of the poker room.
Also, no matter how much you win, you will be required to provide proof of name and address before being permitted to withdraw it.
At this point if you have contravened the T&C you will lose your bankroll.

Is it unethical, to get a local friend to hook you up with an account, and then use a VPN from that country?

Are the countries restricting play unethical? Are state lines ethical at all? With corrupt governments and broken electoral systems, maybe we're doing the lord's work by bypassing these rules.

I doubt the casinos will mind, or even notice.

I came across this older discussion and wanted to add that if Stars isn’t an option, it might be worth checking whether smaller networks like iPoker or WPN are available in your region. The rake is higher in some spots, but the games can be softer, which helps at NL10. How important is tracking software support for you? Some rooms limit HUDs, and that can matter a lot for learning 6max.

Hi Exsvade,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

The world-wide poker scene is terribly fragmented.
