Overall I think nice comeback in poker this year. Started in January after three years break, played FLHE 2c/4c at Stars with incredible success, like almost +6BB/100 winrate over few months (+12bb/100). But as FLHE is dead/boring/threatened by regs on Stars; I switched to NLHE, which is amazing. This is unknown territory for me, but I love it. What I love about NLHE is that bluffs are actually "possible", in FLHE it is very very limited when it comes to bluffs. But in NLHE you can attack pretty much anyone and also exploit their attacks. Roll a bit low due to many things (one of the main reasons the overall lifestyle doubt) but I will try to fix that one also. One thing is, in FLHE i have like ~million career hands or something (less probably), while in NLHE i have played less than 100k hands in career total. This always gives this feeling of total unknown when it comes to NLHE. It is even disturbing that I don't know how to totally own these people. But one can't just get the experience without actually playing...
What do you mean by "this mushroom"? I tried bunch of shrooms, magic ones are my favorite, not kidding

There was a woman visiting us from a spiritual gathering, she started to recommend this one, it is called Amanita Muscaria in Latin language. I am not sure but it kind of flips you together with quite an interesting aspect of your feeling body. It is very common in Estonian forests, so it is fully legal and psychedelic at the same time? I am not sure but to me it feels like a "mushroom for grown-ups", it kind of connects you with seriousness and responsibility and has this "grown-up" feeling...
30min/day limit really useful, saving/protecting from the tilt of playing too long/unhealthy addiction. Woke up at 5am because of cat, but trained pretty well, this is useful practice.
Got lucky, both sisters didn't come to mother's Christmas party. Staying here with children and girlfriend.
Woke up 8am, got the 30min session in exactly before everyone else woke up. Feels really sports and motivated, I literally did the poker session as the first thing in the morning, immediately after waking up :f_biggrin::f_thumbsup:
Super soft iPoker seems to be reg-infested for some reason at Christmas ♦ So I tried to escape that by creating many new tables and tried to play the fish hu. The success was partial
Looks unlimited the possible edge in NLHE but I should remind myself that there is probably edge limit somewhere between +10to20bb/100hands that is not possible to cross. I am not tracking on iPoker, very careful not to violate T&C of poker rooms, so I don't know the winrate and as my volume is low, I can only estimate it anyway. Feels like it can go higher forever. But there must be some limit to it, also it is not possible to get only casino players heads-up all the time.
Maybe increasing the volume from 30min/day to longer is the answer (volume+edge combined) but I have to think about that one

Ok we have this one too, I just never prepared this one, I have no idea how. Can you DM me little bit more of your personal experience?
I am doing these mushrooms (and by doing I mean once a year at best... time flies, but it grows everywhere in my country during autumns)
Ok i tried to add you as friend on this site, has been years since i contacted other players, looks like one can only message accepted friends on PokerStrategy.com forums.
Moved down the stakes today as heavy intense action yesterday on NL2 at 4am in the morning (woke up, couldnt sleep). 20c 6max SnG welcomed me with one player sitting out, so easy 2nd place for +€0.10 in 15 minutes. Lower stakes are just lol ♦
From yogi to game developer. So I was a yogi in this life, from birth to June 2024, when I founded a game development business at age 33. I already had two small pre-school children at that point, so I got really inspired to make games for the older son, and later also to younger son. I had history in the past of developing computer games as teenager, and at age 19-22 I was getting lot of money for a good living playing online poker professionally for 4 years.
I love gaming and games industry, especially computer games for some reason, as it is connected to my father and grandfather who use computers in their science work. I am very surprised that as a developer you are allowed to use phones, as a yogi it is not allowed. I find it comforting that I don't have to do those yogic missions anymore. As a developer I have good friends who are very supportive about what I do. So this myth about "teenage aggression among software developers" isn't really true here.
10c SnGs on iPoker + NL500 hand review video by coach on other site + coffee before kids wake up. Literally made my day
Got disconnected by the "forest" internet, so in one of the SnGs I made flush on the turn and was planning to check-raise but when the villain bet, I folded cause of disconnection. Good stake selection I would say, about fifteen years ago the same thing happened here, pirated Windows experiencing total restart (BSOD) because of graphics card while I was on the river with nuts vs fish, raising and facing 3bet in FLHE in $60 pot. Not a nice feeling, but "happens" sometimes
Overall I think super successful year. Started playing after 3 years break at beginning of year,
great success at FLHE$0.48 (2c/4c), made more than +$70
moved to NLHE in summer
moved up to NL€2.00 (1c/2c) in October
I think up more than +€20 in NLHE
started poker more seriously again, monthly subscription to other training site
But this is not all,
launched gamedev business in June, going solo career (children drawing art)
+€4 in sales already in local area (even though hosting the website costs more)
Hoping to take some challenges in next year 2025, such as:
stay at NL2 or move higher
finish that bigger platform game; also maybe in +English language in gamedev
Learning Defold game engine today, I am not switching from Game Maker Studio, but it is nice to know how software works ♦
Hi, taavi1337:f_grin:
I'm cheering for you! I wish you good luck with poker and your business.
