Remember when you were a kid and you enjoyed when someone pushed you in swings? And how fun and enjoyable that was? :f_drink:

How do you judge the changes in traffic on Unibet now, that many players have left due to their countries not having Unibet available anymore & just some unknown 3rd party?
Also, how do you consider the new composition of players - worse for you or...?

I have not really noticed much of difference in traffic to be honest.

Hello @ghaleon - how is it going in 2025? Even though I am not a PLO player, I was enjoying the good, bad and ugly ones in here very much. How did 2025 start out for you`?

In kind of frustrating fashion. Most sessions have been breakeven or bit on profit side. Frustration has come from losing a lot of bigger pots which have been rarely all-in in bad shape. Then getting money back mostly by taking down lot of small and medium pots.

But yeah tables are most of time good and there has been decent action overall. So just requires more volume.

Well lets put some hand content then as it was requested :)

Spoiler

Both opponents kind of classical recreational players. Probably stat wise around 30/15. Preflop is somewhat close in gto land but definitely ok versus these guys.

Flop is clear call for me. There is some benefit in x-r like denying some equity from some Ax hands but overall my hand is too mediocre for it imo. Turn I would have folded to reasonable bet but it goes checked.

River is where things get kinda interesting as we suddenly make nuts.

So first I thought if we want to pot. Problem is what bluffs do we have? Bottom of range is more or less like Ax or some exact 7543ds type hand. So usually what solver would do is to start turning those bottom of range hands into bluffs. So Ax with lowish kicker would make most sense probably. But in general if we have hard time to have natural bluffs it kind of makes sense to use smaller sizing. Especially if we have advantage on midde strength hands which is kind of case here with flushes. This thinking doesnt necessarily make much sense versus recreational though.

But what I tried to achieve with small size versus different range parts:

- Flushes: Get low to medium flushes to call. High flushes less likely after turn went checked.
- Trips: Try to get action from them. In a way Ax might be more inclined to call versus big bet as then we would rep more boats. But with small bet we also offer good price. Other side of coin is that small bet might look like flush so Ax might potentially bluff raise.
- Boats: These would call versus pot as well almost always but might also raise versus small bet. Especially Ax boats. To be honest I am not even sure if villain should raise with like 77. But Ax boats are kinda mandatory raises. Now if I pot lot of these boats potentially raising block bet might just call.
- Air (less than trips): Would always fold versus pot likely but maybe once in a while bluffs versus block bet.

Spoiler

Ramdarew bets €7.50
ghzhdjjdj raises €37.10 to €37.10
Ramdarew raises €82.02 to €89.52, and is all-in
ghzhdjjdj calls €52.42
Showdown
Ramdarew shows 6♣:A♠:Q♥:7♠:, Full House, Aces full of Sevens
ghzhdjjdj shows K♠:A♥:Q♦:2♦:, Full House, Aces full of Deuces
Ramdarew wins €200.50
Summary
Total pot €203.50 Rake €3

Now I would have raised in villain shoes as well but then fold versus shove. Its very optimistic of me having bluff and my value range is pretty much nuts only. If I would have to bluff with something then maybe like some 7365. Theory wise maybe 77 could be 3bet bluffing with idea to block A7 maximally but that would really require read that villain is able to make big folds. Also with these hands we sometimes run into quads.

This one I open CO, SB 3bet and I call. Not great to have low suit but connectiviity is too good to fold. Checked in trainer that even monotone version would call. Though I would have folded that and maybe also trip suit with low suit.

Flop villain check so I went for half pot. Turn I block two pairs and sets (AA) so decided to check. River went for pot and got called pretty quick. Good hand to make note of villain call as this is imo bad call to make. My value range is mainly flushes but also some straight. Now good side is that he unblocks 9874 type cards and does block two pairs or sets which I would check. But I doubt his call is really that reasonable. Kind of indicator player is overvaluing hands and probably doesnt think in way of "do I block value range?".

Yesterday was nasty on big pots day:

Spoiler

3bet pre, 1/3 flop, 2/3 turn and call versus shove.

Spoiler

Bit wide preflop but table was good so dont mind. EP open, I called MP, CO squeeze and we both call. Flop was roughly flip.

Spoiler

SB 3bet-min5bet-call preflop. Should not even 3bet :)

Spoiler

3bet pre, half potted flop, pot-called turn. My plan was to actually bet-fold flop but pot-call could perhaps be better. Idea was that as I block nfd facing raise I will be pretty often screwed in big way. Turn was fairly good one imo but happened to give two pair to him.

Spoiler

There was luckily two PLO100 big pots I actually won as well. This I open MP, CO 3bet, I 4bet and he calls. Flop he has to call but obviously this hand is not 3bet. Even call is questionable. My hand is actually not gto wise 4bet in these positions. Having KQ is really not wanted as we want theory wise villain to have some AKK, AQQ to 3bet-fold.

Versus two recreationals we shouldn't be base our river sizing on gto/balanced theory too much. It is important to understand that if we bet big it's unbalanced as we don't probably have enough bluffs in our range, but if opponent doesn't even think about that we can and should be unbalanced.

Versus recreationals we can have pure value range on the river, and it's gto solution for that specific spot.

True as I commented that versus recreational we dont necessarily care about it. That said I think small river sizing is still reasonable in that spot. Now depends on player as versus some who are really nitty in raising it can be very bad approach as well. E.g. some might be tight enough to barely raise even any boats. This time it worked nicely but might have ended with opponent just calling if I chose to pot river.

Yeah, small sizing is good as it's unlikely that opponent has a boat.

Hmm I wonder if its still private? When I look in my channel content page it shows it as public but if I actually open the video for normal YT view it shows private... Well maybe it just take some time to update the change.

One of "those" days yesterday. I checked biggest lost pots quickly:

Spoiler

Opponent decides to pile in bit over 200bb preflop... With hand that should not even 3bet.

Spoiler

4bet pot COvsBU. Villain play ok imo.

Spoiler

CO open, I call BU, SB squeeze and we both call. Flop SB bets half pot, I pot raise and we get it in. 70% on flop.

Spoiler

4bet pot BvB.

Spoiler

Open BU, BB 3bet. Flop BB cbets half, I shove and we get it in. I think some weaker top two would be good to just call but with oesd I think raise is still in order.

Funky hand. Preflop call perhaps questionable. Though people calling tend to have way too wide ranges.

Decided to lead trips on flop, barreled turn as semibluff with aim to get straight to fold and flushes in nasty spot. River I thought for moment of checking back with quads which is kinda crazy but instead ended to bet-fold. I think its sort of thin to get value and once opponent raises it just screams straight flush. KK is unlikely to go crazy here. So my quads is just bluff catcher, Villain had been 3betting AA actively so thats also unlikely. Plus I think AA would just call anyway usually.

Interesting spot in this one. Pre is too wide gto wise but villain had been folding good amount. Flop I thought of x-c but bet felt ok with two bdfd. Now we do get raised which is still not great. Call is only option at this point. Turn gives me three pair and fd. With SPR bit below 5 I thought turn x-r is best. We do block sets and unblock KJT. Still running into set is big danger. Though there is maybe even some world where opponent ends up folding some set but I would not put much faith on that.

Talked of this in mastermind discord. People would be just calling. I have feeling its mostly because "we have quads". I mean its very rare I actually fold quads but this is kind of special spot:

- Its 4way flop I decide to lead (Value range is imo Tx+)
- I barrel on flushing turn repping mainly boats and semibluffs come for big portion from trips and some good 6 or 8 blockers with some equity.
- River basically counterfeites 66 and 88 that could be in my turn value range. Making my value range imo purely quads and straight flush. Those 88 and 66 do still beat flushes though so I would not be bluffing with them. To be honest it seems like kinda tough spot to find bluffs.
- I do triple barrel which should look very strong for opponent and yet he pot raises with somewhat deep stacks.

So as usual I ask what value do we beat and what bluffs are likely. I think weaker value raising is unlikely. AA possibly but villain rarely have that either plus it should not be value raising. Bluff I think is really even less likely than AA. Now sometimes these opponents do weird things but still I have hard time to see I am good often enough.

You need to pay 70 to win 140 so you only need to win 50% of the times, not each time.
