How to turn T$1000 into $10 000 cash

Hello all,

Since I did not played that much this past month I decided to make only 1 update ( Monthly update ), mainly because the no. of tournaments that I play on Pokerstars has decreased a lot. I do find GGPoker a way better platform to play on but I still play on weekends on Stars.

Also I like to play the special freerolls and the Sunday Million freerolls, and on weekends I play satellites and some $11 tournaments. Rare are the occasions that I play some tournaments on Tuesdays and Thursdays when there are some special editions of the regular ones.

Since I played only 10 tournaments this month I managed to turn a profit for the first time in 2-3 months

I have seen also that Pokerstars have changed the value of the Step 4 Power Path ticket from $109 to $55, I guess to many people could have played the Sunday Million via Step 4. Again one great change "for the players". And another nice change is that Sunday Storm changed the GTD prize poll from $100K to $75k

I really think that the people in charge of promotions and tournaments program are letting the "old players" down with this changes. I miss the days when there where 200 000 players live on weekend and now they barely reach 50 000.

But maybe they focus on the live tournaments.

Once again I'm making a monthly update...the end of the year is a busy one for me....For this month I played 130 tournaments having a small loss. Most of my tournaments where bounty builder that where played on weekends, also I tried each week to qualify to Sunday Million and Sunday Storm.

The results where not great, but there where some smalls ones ( I don't have all the photo results )

I do hope that Pokerstars will bring something nice for the end of the year, I have 2 weeks holidays right after Christmas into the New Year and I would love to play some poker in that period. We will see what they bring.

This past week I played 25 tournaments, most of them this Sunday. I tried to qualify to Sunday Million by playing some $5.50, $2.20 satellites but unfortunately I did not managed to get a ticket. Maybe this week

Sunday Million this week was a Mystery Bounty tournament, do you guys like it more? Unfortunately the GTD was not reached (which is a regular thing for this tournament now ) but there where two $50K bounties and one $100K. I know that is most luck to hit one of those 3 prizes but I do think that brings a little more fun to it.

Just wanted to show you guys why I do play less poker on Pokerstars for the past year. And this is one example....I don't want you guys to think that I just want free f** stuff because I don't, but by doing this as a Poker Platform you attract a lot of new costumers and that is good for everyone.

This is one of the Christmas promotions on the 2 biggest sites and what I got from it.

And this is what I got from Pokerstars.

Just from the free tickets from GGPoker I turn those tickets into $21.77 and C$26.35 also I still have 2 tournaments to play.....$1 tournament and the $2 tournament. This is the way to attract new players and reward the ones that do play regularly

It's sad to see how much Pokerstars has fallen....they where the ones that this those promotions in the past.....Even 888Poker is better at attracting new players.

What are your plans on next year, continue tour with tournaments? I win on this month silver pass on PS and I exchange on Sunday Million tickets so I have nearly 20 chance to win something on SM for free and some satelite tickets to SM too.

Yes I plan to finish this Challenge this year and also I have some other plans for poker this year but I will post them in my next update. Nice to see that Silver Pass win, good luck in Sunday Milllion. Turn that tickets into something nice. ♠_thumbsup: ♠_drink:

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and that you had a nice time wherever you were. I spent my holidays with my family and on the road visiting relatives, so after all the agitation around Christmas and New Year I had a nice little break until yesterday when it was my first day back to work.

Last year was not a good year for me, when I talk about poker and this challenge. I did not played as much as the year before and also did not have the expected results. I did however played some bigger tournaments then the years before, so I got to see how is it playing some $109, $215 and even played a $888 tournament.

Coming back to this challenge, last year was a rough year, I started the year with a bankroll of $3300.70 and finished on $2872.38. But the truth is that I did not gave everything to this challenge. ♠_frown:

My goal for this year is to finish this challenge, but mostly to get back to regular and scheduled play. Since 20th of December I was away from poker and started again after the New Year when on 1st of January I played a lot of satellites to the New Year Special tournaments, unfortunately I did not qualified to them. I did however during that week played some other tournaments from this New Year Series and had some small results.

I made some poker goals from me that I would love to complete this year:

1. Finish this challenge ( I think that if I will make a strict schedule and increase the volume and maybe the stakes that I play I can achieve this goal )
2. Play a live event ( I think that I should start play some satellite to some of the live events that are going in Romania and abroad )
3. Play the Sunday Storm and Sunday Million every week ( this I want to try to qualify first and if not to buy in directly, I do think that I have the bankroll to play the Sunday Million at least once or twice a month with a direct buy in.....that if I can't qualify )

Also I want to come back and update this challenge weekly.

So this is my plan for 2025, do you have any goals for this year? Feel free to let me know.

I delayed the weekly update just because I wanted to finish this New Year Series promotion since I knew I would play the last 3 events.

For me this week started nicely, I saw that Pokerstars had some valuable satellites to Phase 1 of event no. 1 so I grinded that all week, managing to score some nice results during the week.

I played only 3 tournaments from $55 Phase-1, I did not get into the Phase-2 :f_frown:, but I got some bounties in them.

I really wanted to play the Phase-2, that being said I did played a lot of satellites, I felt exhausted at one point. I had around 16 tables opened which are way to many for me :f_ugly:, at least I figured that out. Also after reviewing most of the tournaments that I played, I've noticed that I get KO a lot when I have AKo, so that is something that I need to fix...It seems that I do not play AKo well.

On Sunday I played some $2.20 & $2.85 satellites, and I managed to qualify to the $22 Series Saver that was played next day. In this one I did overplay my last hand and got out What do you guys think? Here is the hand....

Still Sunday I did play some satellites to the Main Events but I did not qualify to any of them. I played even a $22 for the event 144-M.

On Monday I started playing at 10 AM my time ( lucky I was "working" from home ), I saw that Pokerstars have outdone themselves. They had some freerolls with 500 places GTD to the $5.50 Phase-1 Low event every half hour until 16:00 PM my time, and I was printing money ( $T anyway ). I was playing each one, but I was late reg when there was only 1 min left, about that time, there where around 520-550 players left in the morning, and around 600-700 by afternoon. If you would be registered in any of the $5.50 Phase-1 Low events and you would get in top 500 in any freerolls you would get the buy-in ( $5.50 ) in $T. For me it would make sense to late reg and only re-buy once or twice with $0.11 for a $5.50 $T. So on Monday I made a very nice profit by doing that.

Also Monday I played for qualifying into the $55 Phase 1-H via almost every satellite that they had $11,$2.20 and $5.50, but luck for this tournament was not on my side . Here is one of the hands from $11 sat.

Yesterday I played the last 3 Low event from this New Year Series. On the first one, $2.20 Event 158-Low, I got 3 bullets on it but it was all for nothing, in first bullet I called an all in from CO with TT in BB, ( the CO had A5s and he hit the board 7486A and he made the straight ), second one was my AKo vs AA and TT the board was Q6JQJ, and the last one was my AKo vs KT with a board of 33TJ2.

The second one was the $5.50 Event 160-Low, this one was up and down, but not much to say other then I did not get into the money places. The 3rd on and my last tournament from this past week, was the $3.30 Series Wrap-Up Event 161-Low. This one was a 7-max Hyper and I did played really nice in this one, getting some bounties and reaching the money places. At the end I did call a bit loose the all in from SB I think...here is the last hand:

I played top this 5.50$ event on Tuesday and finished on third position and win with bounty nearly 1220$. On Sunday I will play Sunday Million, Sunday Storm and Bounty Builder 5.5$.

Day 2? I don't understand. I played on weekend Sunday Million, Sunday Storm and Bounty Builder 5.5$. On Sunday Million I go to ITM and get two bounty.

How many hours have to survive in Sunday Million to be ITM?

I start Play on 19, ITM was nearly 00:10-00:15 so 5 hours and 10-15 minutes includes every breaks. I prefer start from begining tournament with PKO but when SM will be with Mystery Bounty maybe can go on second half late registration.
