Oh wow I didn't know I won the lottery ♦
Decided to start playing 1hour/a day at NL2 (Monday-Friday) instead of 30min/day at 10c to 2€ (which I did so far). This work could lead somewhere as I learn by playing. Monthly variance should decrease as I put in 20 hours/month instead of 10 hours/month. Is a different preparation and attitude, more like working mentality than laughing gamer/role player

There will be techno meat from plastic... ♦ nah just kidding, just try out some vegan steaks, they taste awesome
Meat actually was banned once in ancient India, where kings didn't allow hunting and protected the cows and other animals. It is also said that "all wars come from cow slaughter"...
Running well in NL2, not making many big mistakes... Started to mark bankroll on main site at beginning of month, it's half a month and I'm already up like more than +15€ in total... playing maximum NL2 and max 1hr/day, tried the 1hr grind session for 2 days, today i finished before 40min though, tired and fed up with regs. Nice week. Will try the 1hr/day of NL2 grind again next week. Sunday I might try the 22€ Sunday Carnival big tournament on Party, i have ticket but need time/permission from girlfriend...
Had one spot where i could play back vs reg, I open A6o from BU, he calls BB, flop is J43, he check-calls my cbet, turn is J43Q, i bet 2/3 pot, he folds. They are a bit careful and tight imo which can be exploited with bluffs in good spots. Also is important to have legit tight value image vs them, but at the same time we wanna be loose vs really bad fish. This generates like 35/30 vpip pfr image which looks bluffy enough to sometimes look you up or something. Luckily today there weren't many 3bettor regs around, which i exploited by opening more loose. Another think i hate is getting checkraised on flop by reg, but luckily it is pretty rare. Vs looser regs i open very tight. The most profit should still come from the most horrible fish who just jam around without clue. But is good to have edge vs regs, esp. nice to outplay them sometimes... im sometimes exploited for being too aggro then i pull back, tablestart empty etc. even switching sites.
I want to remark: Consider to stop calling other players fish when you are still learning the game yourself... Or at all... ![]()
Check/raise is very strong in general, I think an ABC reg would play a flopped set this way.
Well yes good point what to call them then. Something short to describe that category fast. Sets they slowplay I suspect..
Anyway, I would recommend gaming, if you don't want to lose money, play some 3+ to 16+ video games, these are pretty epic when it comes to storytelling, information, graphics, sounds. This is so nice and you don't risk losing money.
Luckily girlfriend asked about poker, so I said I have this tournament ticket to Sunday Carnival on Partypoker that would cost 22€ but I have won it for playing well. She was very supportive and encouraging and said I can use it tomorrow on Sunday if I want. I can win up to few thousand or nothing and it lasts up to 7 hours I guess. I feel the whole experience to be very educational, I have never played a MTT that big in my life.

Very kind of your lady to support you on your poker challnges, go for it! Good luck at the tables, hope get in the money! ♠_cool:
If you have any last-minute questions that might help you tomorrow when answered, go for it!
I know that Dara here gives the advice to inexperienced players to late resister for tournaments. But in my opinion it is good to take your seat from the very beginning and built your stack gradually (instead of mainly push/fold strategy when late registering)

Yes I definitely start from the beginning for maximum edge... I think I do have some edge, having seen the play of some of the qualifiers on satellite...
My question maybe is more like a mental one, how not to freak out in life, is not always easy to explain subzero-microstakesgaming lifestyle when other people expect you to use bigger money... ? Welcoming higher stakes but slowly... ♦
To that I would say: stay with yourself and what you feel comfortable with. You don't owe other people an explanation.
Moreover, if you play for more money or try to earn it faster, than it is also more gambling.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with gradually building up your experience and slowly increasing the stakes.
When playing poker, it is also good not to focus on money, after you determined your preferred stake. The ticket that you won is within your bankroll management and comfortzone. So for tomorrow, don't think about the amount of the buy-in (which didn't cost you the full amount) and what you can win, but focus on
.

Here you already sound confident, that will also help you when you play the tournament tomorrow. GLGL :f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup:
Probably not gonna play it tonight, woke up at 4am, so I will be super sleepy at 9pm when Sunday Carnival 22€ starts. I still have 3 more Sundays to use that ticket. Super educational that ticket, as I said, lol, planned everything, made sure I get good sleep and fall asleep nicely last night but forgot the morning that I could wake up extremely early. Sometimes happens. Happy to learn about NLHE poker
Recommended BRM is 1000+ buy-ins for professional use, I currently have ~500 buy-ins for NL2. I want to play NLHE, so there are options like Tourneys from freerolls up to €1 or the free T$15 that I have left on PokerStars, however, iPoker offers super nice rakeback for NL2 cashgame and looks like it gets extra sweet at NL5-NL10 . So I need to find good balance and other ways of income... Currentyl the [BRM!!] warning lamp just went bling red ♦

No need for 1000+ bins in any format. Well maybe in some massive mtt fields.
Yes thanks, been listening to some coaches, some say professionals use even 2000 buy-in BRM. All start from 1000 and say they are happier after choosing that [stricter bankroll management]. Depends what you wish to do I guess, climb up up up with aggro BRM or stay where you are with bigger BR.
