His action on the turn makes it a bit ugly, but I play it +/- like you did vs a fish (I bet/raise to normal amounts ♦)

vs a decent player I'd rather check the turn, it seems like a WA/WB spot, can't see worse hands calling, if you get raised it's just ugly, while checking induces bluffs.

Bet 400~ on the turn and fold to raise.

As played you really have to shove.

Oh and I agree with LgWz, vs good players you can definitely c/c turn for potcontrol/bluffinduce.

In early position with one limper I prefer 4 or 3.5 BB + 1 BB per limper.. but doesn't matter that much imo.

Villain is not good, not good players often chase draws.. therefor I bet about 2/3 to protect against draws... is this that bad? I often check the turn for potcontrol with these kind of 'weak' made hands, but this board seemed too dry for this.

Yea preflop isn't a big deal.

As for the turn: nope don't need to bet that much cause it's the turn (draws have less pot equity). Also shallow stacks thus low implied odds on the river etc.

Dry boards are great ones to go for pot control. No real need to protect in those spots, and harder to get value from more hands unless you get value from some bluffs etc. Don't check vs bad players though.

it's not really. sure, it's somewaht connected but we're dominating hands like 9x+pair with our better pair/better kicker and we have the ace. and the 2 hearts are irrelevant as it was a backdoor draw.. and it's just unlucky if they have that (as well as a pair of some sort if they're calling flop).
