Good day grinders :f_thumbsup:
2nd best week of the year, thanks to a Final Table in a 25$ Mini Main Event :f_cool:

Although whole week and the last Sunday Grind didn't start well, eventually there was one tournament where the flips came into my way. With this score I am able to jump into 30$-50$ buy-in region with some flagman tournaments now available to me :f_drink:

So it appears on some countries the rakeback is possible at Olybet, but because of Lithuanian laws, the operator can't offer this feature for Lithuanians. Rakeback is considered as a stimulation for playing and this might lead to gambling addiction. Not sure if I agree with this, especially that rakeback is mostly important for grinders/professionals :f_eek:

Couple weeks off the tables but the rest didn't bring the results. And with the summer season now behind us, let's hope for a better Fall :f_thumbsup:

Good day Grinders :f_thumbsup:
It was a nice session on Saturday as the same evening I won two tickets for the Live events:

This most likely option is that I will use at least one of them for the Poker Festival in Riga. Although I've been in Latvia several times, I have never played poker there and it could be a good way to add this flag into my hendom collection :f_cool: I saw many Latvian avatars here on PokerStrategy so I would really appreciate any hidden activities in your country :f_drink:

Good day Grinders :f_thumbsup:

Got back from festival in Latvia but no good news from there :f_confused: It all started well, I was constantly chipping up and at one point became the table chipleader. However later in the day I went "tango" with other big stack who 5bet jammed Q♣:Q♦: against my K♠:K♥: Flop was low, Turn was safe, but Rivered Q♥: was met with a lot of celebration of my opponent. Not mine, unfortunately :f_ugly: Finished day1 with around 40 BB which although was slightly below average but with plenty opportunities for a quality play.

My journey ended on Day2, in a 3 table state when only 20 players got paid. Reporters were present at the table when this happened:

With live poker still struggling, online sessions were run again. Was pretty close to winning this one, but finished 2nd in the end.

This is the tournament that I want to win really much as it is the first tournament of Zodiac series - not very expensive, but if I manage to get this avatar, I could move my playing schedule a little later with better tournaments overall. I was chipleading this tournament when we were 3 left, and both other two guys pressed "make a deal" button. As I was playing for trophy, not for money in this case, I declined the deal. However, both players promised to fold their hands all the time and leave the trophy for me, as it appeared money mattered for them a lot. So reluctantly I made a deal.. And instantly one guy started playing back at me :f_zZz: Although one player kept his promise and folded all the time to me, the other one confirmed the name of the tournament :f_ugly: I had a chance to close down the tournament when his shove of T♥:7♥: binked over my A♣:Q♦:, but eventually had to take silver with a little of bitterness.
Now I have two questions for you:
1) Do you think it is fair for a chipleader to ask for a trophy when negotiating a deal? At least on GG the play continues after the deal until the winner who gets the trophy. There is some sense of collusion if people are "forced" to fold hands all the time.
2) Do you think GG could take away the trophy from actual winner and give it to other player if there was a written agreement in the chat?
Nonetheless, lesson learned, never trust a poker player :f_biggrin:

A week starts with additional stop this year:

From 5$ qualifier got into 55$ satellite. And with 2 seats guaranteed, one binked into my account. I've been in Campione early this year, and made myself a promise to comeback. Didn't think it will be so fast this year though :f_drink:

1) I do not have an opinion on if this is fair but as long as there is no "official" deal making option for such a thing there is a good chance for it to be interpreted as collusion. Therefor I would avoid this at all.
2) Well they could. Will they? I do not think so.

Good day Grinders :f_thumbsup:

No no, there is no mistype in my report :f_biggrin: My best week since a challenge began, long long time ago. So this is how it happened..
Instead of regular Wednesday evening in local casino, I saw that there is a satellite online to festival in Palanga, a seaside city in my country Lithuania. After a couple hours play, one of two guaranteed seats belonged to me.

Next morning I jumped into the bus and had a 4 hour trip to the resort. At the moment it's only about 5 Celsius degrees here, so instead of sunbathing, straight to the tables A♥: I ended day 1 with a touch above average, position 8 from 20 players remaining. With some entries coming early on Day 2, the total player pool reached 60+ players, with only Final Table being paid. All day I was cruising with average stack, but just before bubble I called 3x overbet pot Allin with Q♠:7♠: versus A♣:Q♦: on Q♦:8♠:7♣:. Instead of being tournament chipleader, the Turn paired another 8♣: and it left me with only 10 Big blinds. A huge swing in expectations but luckily I survived and started my comeback from there.
I had a good start at the Final Table and even claimed chiplead when we were 5 left. After some hours of play, the Heads Up battle arrived, my opponent having 2x chips more than me. I was card dead at first, went down to ratio 8:1, but grinded it all back to even and when this hand happened.
At equal stacks I minopened T♠:6♠: and got a call from Q♦:8♣:. A small cbet on a nice flop of 2♦:4♠:5♠:, another barrel on 7♦:. Once I hit River J♠:, I make an inducing 10% bet which was met by an Allin of my opponent. Few moments later, a trophy in my hands, making one more goal of the year complete :f_thumbsup:

Hello PokerStrategy members :f_thumbsup:
Hot streak continues, had some nice scores on PokerStars last week. And this now allows me to play a higher buy-in region of 30$-50$ where I feel most comfortable in. Also I can enter last step satellites for Live events so hopefully another trip is on the way :f_drink:

After couple of good weeks, a red arrow appeared :f_ugly: Nothing extraordinary, just waiting for variance to climb up again.
Went to one Live event, had a deep run but on the stone cold bubble my shove of 10BB with A♣:K♦: was called by Big blind's K♠:Q♥:. Flop was safe but Queen on the Turn sent me to rails. Fortunately there was some kind of protection to bubble boy and at least I got my Buy-in back.

This week is my last one before trip to Campione, and the plan is to run 4 online sessions before stepping on the plane. We all know how important is to catch that momentum :f_thumbsup:
