Hello,

As today Nov 21 I deposited $60 into my PokerKing account with the only goal to make a living out of online poker climbing up the stakes from the very bottom.

I am starting this blog to keep track of my progress, socialize online and put my name on the famous list of PokerStrategy Bankroll Challenge winners. 2025 is almost gone so I am looking to complete the challenge by next year setting a goal of $1500.

I am currently working as software developer for a startup we made with a group of friends and I practice surf and highline also so I will try to put as much volume as I can hopefully crossing the 1k hands/daily playing on 4 to 6 tables simultaneously posting updates daily and weekly the bankroll challenge.

Enough words for now. I would like to post an image of today results but seems basic status members are not allowed to.

Cheers,

Day 1:

Started playing really late, close to 1am and after +4bi went to bed πŸ›Œ to wake up for an early morning sesh that wiped out profits πŸ“‰ closed tables and went out for a surfing sesh πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ got hammered by the sea and returned home with clear mind 🧠. After finishing my job added a 3rd sesh in which I crushed πŸš€.

For that, I recommend "The Mental Game of Poker" by Jared Tendler and Barry Carter.

I documented my journey through this book in my blog "Mind Games".

It certainly helped me a lot β€” YMMV.

Day 2:

Just did one sesh very early on and rest of day was for chores and gf stuff. I am starting to notice regulars playing patterns and noted few more recs. Still lacking about marking hands to share here so I will focus on this next. Red line still pretty decent.

TMGOP is one of the books that I been missing for years to read maybe this is the motivation I needed and will copy your idea about documenting it.

Hi d1360cl,

Mastering emotions with consistency is indeed very important. I think I still get a tiny bit tilted too easily sometimes and I don't master that, but when it happens I just quit. Usually 15-45 minutes later it's gone, and I want to play again.

I know it helps to have gone some terrible luck a couple of more times in the past. Experience with that makes that you don't get shocked easily when someting terrible happens. Also more than 30 buyins could help. I have ran around 23 buyins under EV in the past. 30 is okay if you can redeposit, but it might help your mind to have a bit more, you decide ...

I won't go as far to wish you some bad luck for the experience though. If you play 4-6 tables you probably had your share already anyway. So good luck to you and your plans!

Day 4:

Finished the day really early after an horrendous 1st session. Todays results were pure variance rather than playing badly. Redline and evwr are still really strong what makes me happy . After closing tables switched to full job mode having a very productive monday ending with a fun sunset surf session.

Hey Stackoffski, thanks for joining my ride I will be following yours! As you mention, I hope years of previous experience pays off this time and help me to manage my emotions. This make me feel comfortable playing with 30 buy-ins but I know that 10+ bi downswings are real also I am clearing a deposit bonus hoping to finish this before a re-deposit.

GL everyone!

How are those games going on the winning poker Network? Are cash Games there softer than on other sites? I also have accounts on ACR and BCP.

Hi d1360cl,

I finally got around to add your Bankroll challenge Avatar - how are things going in the time leading up to Christmas? Did you make yourself a present at the tables?

Greetings,SvenBe
