Nice catch! Taking down a maniac for a 500€ pot is always a massive boost. Calling off 175bb on the river with just two pair in PLO takes some serious heart, but if he was barreling every street and 3-betting light, you absolutely have to trust your read. It’s a classic 'way ahead or way behind' spot and you played it perfectly. Huge scoop!

Versus most players I would not call less than AA as most don't have balls to pull off massive bluffs deep stacked. Even with that it would feel nasty with wheel straight completing. Problem with this sort of guy though is that I am pretty sure he would have played any set and maybe also AQ for value here. Some random crazy 33/77 is potentially in pre range but probably bit less likely. So yeah on turn I clicked call with plan to snap off non broadway/flushing river and pray!

I think your logic is spot on. Against those 'crazy' players, you have to widen your calling range because they capitalize on everyone else being too scared to play deep-stacked. Planning to snap off non-broadway rivers is a solid plan. It’s definitely a high-variance spot, but you can't let players like that run over you. Trusting your read is key!

Played some omaha PSKO MTT. Had this sort of situation where I think we want to just open practically any4? CO limped though so I folded. 1€ was start bounty but risking 4k for chance to win bounty seems fine deal?

Lo, this is weird. I had similar villain yesterday also, who just fired 3 streets with K high etc. The worst option is to call a lot of flops and maybe turns and then fold a lot of rivers. Make a plan, trust it and execute. When the dust settles, check the results. Sometimes they spike 2 outer set on the river or miracle runner runner, but these are the moments to remember when that happens. When he gave big stack with K high.

This opponent seemed to be maniac. Had been 3bet-calling earlier vs someone else some T853ds and shown tendency to 3bet very frequently. Anyway in this hand pre is super mandatory 3bet especially vs player like this. Flop I went for x-c as my hand is somewhat mediocre in strength. Vs somewhat reasonable stack off range we are not doing that hot.

Well turn give me nuts with ton of redraw and villain checking back caps his range heavily so this becomes pretty decent trap hand. Went for x-c hoping for blank but I dont think there is any river I would fold. T would be worst but even then he might bet fair amount of KT on flop and T9 I block at least bit. He was dead and perhaps would have found bluff on blank or value bet on 6, 7 or 8. But yeah I think good spot to give rope.

Not sure I like my sizing choise in this especially as opponent had been 3betting often. Would be better prolly to bet smallish. But yeah was thinking of unblocking board pairs so opponent could have set fair amount of time. Main issue with pot is that its pretty tough for me to have that many bluffs. If we go like 20-25€ on turn and shove river its bit easier to have some spade blocker with KJT etc.
