The buffer and why I say: "Hello again!"

Played 2 tables NL5 and two tables NL2 - and guess who I met (again)? Fellow reg! I was already "missing" him at NL2 but thought so: He also moved up! So, well...yaay, we gotta both deal with it that we will meet again at the tables! :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly: Found myself at a quite tight, "reggish" table first: changed table! Besides I took a trip to the "dark side" (PLO) again and PLO showed me - again! - that´s it´s a huge rollercoaster! So, took a BIG rollercoaster-ride

and then the table died and we switched to NL5 and NL2. The first hour of our today´s session went quite well and that was perfect, because the second hour turned sour .... Variance showed its dark side and nothing worked out anymore. We decided to wait patiently but nothing came ....and after a long card-dead streak it was time. Fatigue set in (which is not good!) and the usual two hours were over. That means: Bye bye CG-tables, see you tomorrow! The first hour perfectly buffered the unlucky phase of the second one: We ended up break-evenish.

Nsavov, I wish, I was as good as those guys, but got a LONG way to go and a LOT of hard work to do, if I really wanna get there. But indeed there´s a lot of 3-betting and 4-betting going on, whenever we clash (but usually, we try NOT to clash and focus on the fun-players instead). That reg is indeed a fearless and solid player, it´s the same player to whom I wrote "sorry" in the chat, when we clashed set over set (He: Set QQQ, me: Set KKK). Check out my post "Why I wrote sorry in the chat"! Several times, we were HU at NL2 (the only ones at the tables) and there was mutual respect! The chips just went from here to there and back, we both were waiting for fun-players.

We moved up to NL5, Taavi. Well, at least partially according to BRM. Two tables NL5, two tables NL2 (or 1 NL2 and 1 PLO2).

Didn´t expect that ...

...but my today´s session ended better than I had thought first. Right at the beginning I lost a stack at NL5 with AK had TPTK (king on flop), fun-player got there with A7s on the river by calling me down all the way. So, didn´t look great first. Then PLO2 went well first, then totally card-dead! My whole session (2 hours) seemed to be quite card-dead. I cannot remember any spectacular hand, missed most flops, but could somehow get the pot anyway (bluff!). Ok, to be honest: bluffed quite a lot and also made the mistake to bluff a so-called "calling station". So, burned a little bit of money.

This hand was quite nice:

This time it was me who got there on the river, while barrelling all the way and of course bombing the river!

The rest went pretty unspectacular and what I really didn´t expect: a little winning. Was ready to take a loss this time, but it turned out that I´m actually a little bit up.

Something felt "off" at the tables yesterday ....

....and I was already suspecting what it was!!

The Cash Queen is sick, guys!

Had already felt some joint pain in my legs yesterday and while I was folding trash hands I almost fell asleep. Today, we know for sure: It´s a common cold, which I must have picked up at "Trollette Open" (tennis competition women 50 plus). This means no sports this week! Let´s see how I will feel tomorrow, there could be a session, if I feel fit enough for it.

Can´t play poker yet, so, let me post something for your entertainment. So, you guys may have wondered why an old f*rt like me still loves Mario games?

Well, started with this one when I was young:

I used to play "Dr. Mario" a lot on Gameboy.

I also played Donkey Kong (who is now Cranky Kong by the way):

Yeah we programmed them in the 70s. Did you know it was me who programmed that game in 1970? But the Central Company stole that idea of independent game from me.
