I have a very promising (in my opinion) study plan drawn up that is a hell of a lot more promising than our old idea. Hopefully you are still up for it. The downside to this study plan is that its ultimate aim is to take an almost ruthlessly mathmatical approach to the game ensuring that we will be spending our time on the most challenging concepts.

Congrats on moving back up to .50/1.00!

I'd like to sit in on your guys session after your net is up, maybe I can learn a thing or two!

Definitely still very keen. And it can't hurt to work on the numeroes. Well, it might hurt my brain, but in a good way. :f_confused:

AFT. :f_p:And thanks!:f_biggrin:

BTW TB/CS.. the more the merrier! If we keep to some of the original plan, we'll be posting any contentious stuff in the FL discussion board.

As for sweat sessions the more the better there too! I have a few ideas about optimal formats for a sweat session.. will post them in Poker Trek 3 blog this millenium.

Winner!
Seriously, it's really goddamn hard. But then again, Waiboy barely knows the meaning of gratefulness :f_mad:

Hey Waiboy, interesting game tomorrow :) I'm hoping the Boks can get the points they need to secure the tri-nations now. Have a bad feeling... _frown: but we'll see.

Maybe a suggestion: Try some NL on a big poker site like PokerStars. Ipoker is full of rakeback grinders imo.

Look.. if I had $1 for everyone who sends me nude pictures with "W"s shaved in their pubic hair I'd have.. $2. :f_eek:

You can't expect me to keep up my FL addiction, pretend to study, reply to blog posts AND appreciate the weird (but completely understandable) fetishes of my adoring stalkers?!

BTW the photoshopped "augmentation" was completely out of order and, frankly, horribly disturbing.

And now for something completely different:

Bring it on BOKKE!!! Actually its gotta be a close game tonight. Weather update: cold and wet.. so a four try win to the ABs is unlikely.. although it sounds like the sort of weather a 10 man rugby, brick wall defensive screen style team might enjoy. :f_ugly:

Ofc, when the ABs are throwing 50:50 passes for the first 20mins I'm going to suggest it will be hard for them to come back. I've been wrong before... maybe I should do some emotion hedging and put money on the Bokke to win. If its enough it will almost guarantee an AB four try win! :f_mad:

Oh, and for novelty value, I'm still at $.50/$1 on nuts heater for first couple of k hands this month (5.8BB/100).

Gah, a disappointing outcome to an epic match. That Dan Carter precision kick leading to the try was orgasmic, and I thought there was going to be a repeat but unfortunately it went long.

3rd match of rugby seen, 9/10.

TB, you may be turning into a rugby tragic... definitely +EV (not sure how specifically this is +EV, but it just has to be...). :f_p:

And to you Bokke boys out there, in case you weren't sure, Hamilton is NOT at the same altitude as the High Veldt. I'm pretty sure noone has knocked over three 52 - 60m penalty kicks on that ground since Don "the Boot" Clarke was knocking them over from all parts for the mighty Waikato back in the 60s. My guess is Francios boots are taking EPO and should submit to in competition drug testing. :f_eek:

As for the result, better team won... but we gave you a pretty damn good scare at least.

As for poker...

Face it. FL variance sucks. I've been on a sicko micro limit negative variance skydive for the last couple of months. This month through 3.2k hands I'm running at 7.05BB/100 and just don't seem to lose anything.

I've gone from not winning any marginal hands, good hands, monsters, HU v maniacal fish, MW v TAGs with pretty polarised ranges, praying to Freya the Wolf Goddess that my AA flopped set will hold a least once in a month, to winning with a get out of jail free card and a green 6 from an Uno pack (complete Chuck Norris lift but appropriately nicked).

SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK.

Just sick good ATM. :f_cool:

I post this not because it really bothers me too much. I'm not getting carried away as I know where my game is and what variance is... but having read through the crisis of confidence that opal99 has gone through, and that others have battled through in the past as well, I'm of the opinion the occassional reminder that variance goes both ways (despite the hell that prolonged negative variance can be) is a worthy thing. Or I'm bragging that I'm getting sick variance at $.50/$1. If only I could "Yoghi" this variance into $100/$200... hmmm...

:f_confused: out.

Scare is right... damn good game but there very little sweeter than beating the All Blacks at home to win the tri-nations :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: Yeah, Steyn is incredible... would have loved to see his 58m drop kick attempt go over :f_o:

To poker... enjoy the + variance, you have worked damn hard for it... so ride the wave _cool:

Yeah Waiboy, I have exactly the same. Can't win for a month or two then can't lose for a few days!

Sick heater continues. Now running at 7.96BB/100 this month to date after 3.3k hands. Sure, small volume but insane.

Can I recommend good wishes from DarthBobo to anyone wanting to turn their variance on its head? (congrats on the platinum status too DB!).

thanks WB :)

I knew the heater was coming!!! Now that that's cleared up, I hereby wish you're beating the fish at $1/$2 again soon

Hey DB, appreciate the effort!

Bad news is the party is DEFINITELY over. Last 800 hands have gone at -14BB/100. Oh well it was cool while it lasted. :f_biggrin:
