TB, you may be turning into a rugby tragic... definitely +EV (not sure how specifically this is +EV, but it just has to be...).
And to you Bokke boys out there, in case you weren't sure, Hamilton is NOT at the same altitude as the High Veldt. I'm pretty sure noone has knocked over three 52 - 60m penalty kicks on that ground since Don "the Boot" Clarke was knocking them over from all parts for the mighty Waikato back in the 60s. My guess is Francios boots are taking EPO and should submit to in competition drug testing.
As for the result, better team won... but we gave you a pretty damn good scare at least.
As for poker...
Face it. FL variance sucks. I've been on a sicko micro limit negative variance skydive for the last couple of months. This month through 3.2k hands I'm running at 7.05BB/100 and just don't seem to lose anything.
I've gone from not winning any marginal hands, good hands, monsters, HU v maniacal fish, MW v TAGs with pretty polarised ranges, praying to Freya the Wolf Goddess that my AA flopped set will hold a least once in a month, to winning with a get out of jail free card and a green 6 from an Uno pack (complete Chuck Norris lift but appropriately nicked).
SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK.
Just sick good ATM.
I post this not because it really bothers me too much. I'm not getting carried away as I know where my game is and what variance is... but having read through the crisis of confidence that opal99 has gone through, and that others have battled through in the past as well, I'm of the opinion the occassional reminder that variance goes both ways (despite the hell that prolonged negative variance can be) is a worthy thing. Or I'm bragging that I'm getting sick variance at $.50/$1. If only I could "Yoghi" this variance into $100/$200... hmmm...
out.
