[Closed] NL200 FR hand

You called his raise, put half of your stack in and flopped top pair - what there is to think about, I don't get it.. What did you hope to flop when you called then? Flush or trips? Instacall imo, as played preflop.

It would be, and is, clear, still what concerns me is his allin move. I'm happy to shove on such flop, and definitely would if he checked or raised less than my stack, but I don't know how to interpret such moves. If he's got a strong hand, like big ace, then why such raise? I've seen ppl on NL2 do such things when they flop TPTK, but on NL200? It doesn't make much sense.

From my experience, it's more likely a bluff (lower pocket or J maybe) or a drawing hand than a set or stronger ace. Actually, I think he would rarely play a made hand that way.

Because you're short stack, i'm pretty sure, when he reraises you, he isn't folding to your shove. After flop the pot is around 40, and you are left only with 20, so he is calling your shove 100%. He takes the aggressive way and shoves on you. Were you deeper i'm sure he would have played differently.

In that particular hand villain showed AJ and took the pot. So I assume his push was a trick play trying to disguise his holding.
