As the BB-Protection is one of my biggest leaks, I'd like to post some borderline situations.
1) no reads
Classic steal SB vs. BB. I think the preflop call is correct against unknown. But should I fold the flop. Every reasonable player will always bet the flop too, must I fold everytime when I did not improve? Assuming this I would not need to defend preflop.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7♣, K♥.
1 folds, SB raises, Hero calls.
Flop: (4.00 SB) 2♠, 9♥, 4♣ (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (3.00 BB) J♠ (2 players)
SB bets, Hero folds.
Final Pot: 4.00 BB.
2) Att. to steal: 31%
According to PokerStove, I am behind 45-55 assuming his ATS-Range (or should I put it even higher since he is raising from the SB?). Should I even though 3-bet to prepare a better foldequity if I dont hit the flop?

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5♥, A♣.
2 folds, SB raises, Hero calls.
Flop: (4.00 SB) A♦, 2♥, 6♣ (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (3.00 BB) Q♣ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB folds.
Final Pot: 4.00 BB.
3) UTG 65/12/33
SB no reads (how can I estimate his coldcall-rate from the SB anyway?)
Can I call this? I need 70% of the average-equity, I think is debatable.
