wrong

I am a dealer myself. And i would never ever show a players cards for everyone if he mucks it.
You dont have to show your hand even if you get called you can muck it. But after it is mucked you cant take cards of a muck and say "I'm sorry i mucked a winner gimme the pot" LOL

LOL i remmeber the stupid situation in my casino....

There was a drunk guy playing.
The pot was huge at that time. The drunk guy is batling with some other guy.
When a river comes a drunk guy proudly shows the nuts. The problem is theres a betting round after the river also :) So since he showed the hand straight away after the river came without a betting round it is considered as fold and the guy with some crap hand won the pot :)

It's true that since he was called he must show his cards first, when declines to do so and mucks his hand, he forfeits the pot, wich as Swiss just said, it's not against the rules. That's why the tournament director was right in awarding the pot to pokernoob. But the dealer could've never shown RDW's cards, they were mucked and no one gets to see cards in the muck, right?

It's the same as showing all the hands the other players' folded, after all, they are all in the muck, but that makes no sense.

I'd be pretty happy if pokernoob had fist pumped the dealer's head!

EDIT: And I take so much time writing my posts that when I finally post them, someone else has already posted something similar... :P

good thing he apologized for the fist pump, it was a very hellmuthic thing to do. he won the pot fair and square there's no doubt about that anyway.
