Hey Mr. VoI,

nice to see how your VoI and BR get bigger and bigger (almost) simultaneously

Don't worry about the break even streak. Could be worse :P

Keep up the good work!

Good luck at the tables!

and you seem quite good and also play on cake. so i was wondering if you could give me a few tips and tricks on how to play bss without a hud.
i imagine it must be quite different.

if you want to i can pm you my msn address.

i respect a no of course.

Hi.. I never say no to anyone who wants to discuss some poker stuff =)

Well im not sure if im the one who should be giving away advices.. But.. Well playing without HUD is just something you need to get used to.. When i started playing without HUD i felt kinda lost and blind for some time. Well all you need to do is watch as many hands of ur opponents as possible Easy to say yeah....

Im using the colors for each opponent, im trying to note down every interesting spot i see.. There are many many regulars on Cake and you see them every day.. So its easy to recognize them.. Whenever i see multitabler i write his name into the note, since they like to change their names every week..
Then i kinda respect the play of multitablers until i see some bad play from them... If my opponent is not multitabling he is usually not really good player, but i tend to respect bigstacks more than midstacks... So yea its all about getting as much information as possible, even though sometimes its hard and sometimes its boring to keep attention... And there are always spots where id love to see the stats..... =)

edit: Unfortunately im not using MSN.. My Skype is Juice16 though.

Hi guys. Im coming with a weekly update =)

Last week i started quite baddish. I wasnt running very good etc. It turned into quite a bad downswing for me..... The worst iv experienced so far since i was losing since like 16.10. ...

Luckily with rakeback and bonuses i wasnt even close to the point where i would have to go back to NL20. Fortunately My BR is quite healthy =)

I dont remember myself being on tilt which is great news i think. But i have to admit that so many losing sessions maybe affected my game a bit....
The good thing is, it reminded me that im not super perfect player who can win whenever he wants to. I have leaks. My postflop game is far from perfect. Also i need to work on my concentration during sessions. I need to work on thinking about every single hand. It cant be just clicking without realizing what my goal is. NO. I need to think and i need to think hard.

Also i started thinking about my non-showdown winnings. Mainly because during the downswing most of my loses were from non-showdown winnings. I mean ofc i was also below EV line and i was running bad but.. It got me thinking that im being overplayed by stronger and more aggresive players. Thinking about it now, its not really truth, im sure im winning player on NL50. Im not saying im crushing it, no way. But im sure im winning player, no matter what my winrate could be.
But thinking that im being overplayed motivated me even more.. So yea i started to browse web and i googled a bit and i found some more websites with pokerstrategy articles etc. There were some articles about non-showdown winnings as well. So yea im determined to strenghten my postflop play. Also i think iv been kinda rocky so far with WTSD about 20%. I dont think its that bad, but i definitely dont wanna be the one who is easy to be pushed away from the pot. So yea i need to grow some balls, i mean the so-called regulars multitabling tag fishes rakeback hunters cant be stronger than me, why should they be.
Its all about never ending improvement and winning attitude.

Also im not afraid of losing few stacks on NL50 anymore. If i lose it im just gonna win it back. Its Just the matter of time.

So yep.. i was losing like the whole week. Also i didnt play that much. It was like 5000 hands.

I ended about -200$ for the week.

Now for the good news.. Today i played like 1200 hands and ye.. check the graph for the week + today.

Technically speaking, im still in the middle of a downswing.. =) But who cares.. Being on downswing.. Being on upswing.. Running good, running bad.. Being lucky, being not.. Its just happening again and again and its getting boring to talk about it =) Its all about playing the best you can. You cant choose when you run good or when you run bad. You will never know your true winrate so why to check it every other day?? Theres no such think as knowing how much you should have won. If we cant change those things why do we all still think about them and whine about them?=) Well i guess thats what makes us human. But realizing this theres just one thing left to do. Keep improving and playing as good as you can.

Good night =)

Losing a few stacks and then winning it back always gives you confidence in your play. And makes you more comfortable for your limit.

This things always makes us stronger and smarter ;), like we've agreed before.

Wake up calls/slap on the face to improve.

=)

Nice comeback!

Cheers and Good Luck!

PS: I wonder how we will play one against each other when I will come there

It will be very interesting, because you know my strategy and I know yours.
:)

Well, I'm sure you will have the chance to escape the war by fleeing to NL100 and maybe we won't meet after all :P

arent there enough nl50 tables that you can avoid each other if you want to?

im happy to see that you are handling your downswing well. i too have been on a small downswing but it seems that it has ended now.

Nonono, It would be level ....
U will think: I know his strategy, but I know that he knows that I know his strategy therefore he knows I eexpect him to bet here when I check to him therefore I will bet cause he wil check behind because he knows that I know what he would do
and u will caoght urself in outthinking urself ebcasue Juice will not even realize that u are playing him ....

Im glad to hear its turning up for you, good luck, i hope ull hit some heater and it will turn up for some time =)

Actually im pretty sure we would run into each other, since theres not that many tables.. I mean theres not that many good tables =) Thats why i always meet regulars =)

First of all thanks for encouraging words ;)

=) Well that would be interesting for sure.... Hmm i doubt i would be on NL100 before you reach NL50.. But ill probably leave Cake 8.12. since thats when my bonus expires. So maybe we wont meet, who knows =)

Well.. im changing my name every week and you do the same, so maybe it would be best for us just not to know each others name and simply play each other as good as we can =)

Im pretty sure there are some players from PS.com playing there..
Like for example one time there was this super LAG Spicy51 or something like that.. I havent met him for a week now so maybe he switched to another format.. but He was playing so many hands but he was very very strong postflop and i saw him having multiple stacks on multiple tables.. Then i saw the same nickname in Cake rake race here on PS.com and i found out he is a diamond member from German community =)

Even if someone(or you) changes his name and someone else has already taken note on him, the note stays, so you won't run away to a notetaking player am I right? :)

But definitely we should do some sweet sessions, not coaching, but sweet sessions so we can both learn, what do you say?=)

Edit: Btw i need a coaching myself, so how can i coach anyone?=)
