There is an explanation... you're probably not gonna like it... but you have to accept unavoidable truths sometimes. The support group is readily available for you here.

Hes rich in sklansky bucks though, i wish i was that rich, infact i owe sklansky bucks :f_eek: - We could do a trade? Actually on second thoughts...

Sick bad run :(

Thanks guys.. :)

Sadly nothing is changing. I decided to put aside my current aversion to playing (due to how I run at Mansion) and played again this weekend. Played 1,000 hands at NL100 and big surprise - ran over 200 under EV. Most of the losses came from KK which I lost over $200 with. Defining hand of the session was against what I believe was a Spanish PS.com player who was playing very aggressive.

Since he was so aggressive and raising a lot of blinds I raised in the hope of a 4bet - as bluff or with some kind of pocket. He obliged and even called the all-in with 88 - but sadly this is NL100 at iPoker and of course he hit his 8 on the river.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.5/$1 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Known players:
[tg]CO$123.80:///////;BU$17.25:///////;SB$103.00:///////;BB(Hero)$100.00:///////;MP3$187.25:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with K:s, K:d.
3 folds, SB raises to $3.00, Hero raises to $9.00, SB raises to $25.50, Hero raises to $101.00, SB calls $75.00.

Flop: ($200) J:c, 7:s, 9:c (0 players)
SB gets uncalled bet back.

Turn: ($200) 3:c (0 players)
SB gets uncalled bet back.

River: ($200) 8:s (0 players)
SB gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $125.
Results follow:

Hero shows a pair of kings(K:s K:d).
SB shows three of a kind, eights(8:d 8:c).

SB wins with three of a kind, eights(8:d 8:c).

So I closed all but 1 FR table and kept on playing a bit. I also added some NL50 tables on PokerStars. Amazingly I managed to recover the losses and even make some profit on PokerStars to end the day under EV but up.

At the end of the session I did misplay two or three hands however - so I will have to post those later since I missed a shitload of value on one and probably should have been more aggressive in the other - maybe I could have been up even more.

In terms of monthly goals: still missing around 8k MCP - so long way to go and not so sure if I will make it :l

If my relationship with Mansion was a marriage, I would probably be filling out divorce papers at the moment. It would be the only way to avoid future jail time for domestic violence.

Our relationship which had been strained through the 2 months of running bad is simply not getting any better. I decided to work on our problems since there is still that issue of me needing to get 6k more MCP this month and the day started well enough with winning a few pots against loose passive idiots checking down flopped sets and getting it on 4 straight rivers, etc.. and the tables were really soft and promising.

Unfortunately things were not to be .. and the turnaround came hard and violent. It all started with me losing yet another coinflip of the full stack type. This puts my total amount of lost NL100 flips at 10 while my won NL100 flips remains at a proud 0 (something that has really not helped our love life)

$0.5/$1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]MP3$145.01:///////;CO$101.10:///////;BU$111.50:///////;SB$99.00:///////;BB(Hero)$249.05:///////;MP2$100.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:h, K:s.
MP2 raises to $3.00, 2 folds, BU calls $3.00, SB calls $2.50, Hero raises to $12.00, MP2 calls $9.00, BU calls $9.00, SB raises to $99.00, Hero raises to $250.05, 2 folds.

Flop: ($372.05) J:d, 4:c, K:c (0 players)
Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Turn: ($372.05) Q:c (0 players)
Hero gets uncalled bet back.

River: ($372.05) 6:h (0 players)
Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $122.
Results follow:

Hero shows a pair of kings(A:h K:s).
SB shows three of a kind, jacks(J:h J:c).

SB wins with three of a kind, jacks(J:h J:c).

The momentum was instantly broken and the floodgates released. Sitting deep stacked versus calling stations at all tables I would flop trips, pot the flop, pot the turn - river 2 outer. Few hands later, rinse and repeat, river 3 outer. River 2 outer. Bam bam bam. Of course I'd pick up a few pots as well but the majority was shipping in the direction of the place of least equity.

At one table it was particularly brutal and so I quickly dropped from 2 stacks - most of it to the same guy who would call any pair for 3 streets of potsize value. Sadly he would also always his miracle cards against my monsters.

Now all in all this belongs to poker and I know it all too well. I love my fish and them sucking out belongs to the big plan. Yet over time it gets boring when every session at Mansion ends the same way. With my first deposit bonus depleted and my 3 month bind soon over I will therefore look for new hunting grounds now.

Currently in consideration: Everest, Ladbrokes, PokerHeaven or a return to Cake / PokerStars

Bright note: Currently once more 45$ up and 3 tables still open with fish on them.
Related Variance: Still plenty of room in either direction :f_eek:

Whining works. It seems Mansion is desperate to turn around our relationship and reacted quickly after my above whining post.

As I said I still had 3 tables open and a lot of fish on them. I ended up closing all but the worst one - which had that horror fish from before on it. Well the same fish I had been running so horribly against suddenly stopped hitting his 2 and 3 outers against me and lost back his entire 250$ stack. The horrid beauty of variance.

After that he re-bought for another $100 and quickly got it up to 250$ after hitting an AKJ flop with QT vs AA. He then lost most of those 250$ to me as well in a huge 400$ pot where he called me down for 3 streets with AJs high on a 668 2 4 board.

Better mood now :f_love: :f_love: :f_love: :f_love: _love: _love: _love: _love: _love: _love: _love:

I bet you just threw rocks at the Mansion Employees in Gibraltar hence they gave you something nice to not do it again

They are in the same building or at least the same city as where SoyCD is residing right ?

Hello again everyone :)

So Yesterday I was still 4500 MCP away from 20k that I need to reach Elite status and thus claim my 105,000 MCP boost. I thus opened up 14 Full-ring / 8 Max tables on NL50 and just put in volume. I immediately remembered why I decided to no longer play so many tables - since I didn't feel like I was playing optimally - which was probably also due to me not really wanting to play - and not running very well. Long story short I dropped 3,5 stacks before winning back 4 stacks and finally ending the session break-even. 1,5k MCP closer to my goal I was quite ok with the result and took off towards the Gibraltar Casino to pass the 1,5 hours I needed to pass before meeting with my girlfriend to have some drinks with Robert aka Fenris who is going back to Germany tomorrow.

The casino was amazingly fishy with lots of limped pots every hand and generally bad play all around. I played tight aggressive, staying out of the pots in EP except with good cards, while raising single limpers from late position and conti-betting good boards. Unfortunately I was rather card dead - but managed to bring in the 20 pounds I needed for the drinks

Now I need another 3k Points in 2 days, and have my mom visiting tomorrow - so its all kind of stressy. As a motivation to grind I have therefore looked around the Mansion store for what to buy.

Status: If I make my 3k points I will have 401,000 MCP
Original Goal: In order to buy the $1,000 Cash bonus I need 480,000 MCP
Revised Goal: In order reach another 80k I would need to play another month with at least 1,2k rake. Aside from my 1k bonus I would receive no kind of rakeback or bonuses. Since the loyalty scheme at Mansion gives maximum value in 3 and 6 months steps this is therefore not very lucrative - since I would get a lot more if I e.g. make the same amount at Ladbrokes while clearing their FDB and getting the VIP bonus.

As such I will just spend the 400k MCP in the shop - which will probably cost me around $200 in value - that I would lose anyway if I kept playing at Mansion.

As such I now have the hard decision of what to get!! AHHHH

Current options include the

PS3 + Xbox Live Kit (I need wireless in order to go online):
Xbox Wireless Bridge 47600
Germany Home shirt 07-09 31440
Xbox Live 12 Month Live 30360
PS3 Slim with 4 games 275520
---------------------------------------------------
384920

Camera, Ipod Touch Kit (Germany Soccer jersey is a must include, just as the wireless bridge is)

Xbox Wireless Bridge 47600
Germany Home shirt 07-09 31440
Cybershot Sony 10.1 Megapixel Camera 77280
ipod touch 64gb 236240
---------------------------------------------------------
392560

Home Theatre System + Stuff Kit

Xbox Wireless Bridge 47600
Germany Home shirt 07-09 31440
sony 5.1 Home Theatre System (850 W Bravia) 176600 (OR JVC Home Cinema System)

Leaving 145k-160k which can buy: e.g. a Wii for 140k, or 4 Xbox games, or a camera + games,... ahh the choices ;)

Well atm I don't have one of those 52 inch plasmas that I would like to order but obviously don't have the points for - but I do already have a nice LCD and an Xbox360. The problem is that I don't have internet cables on that side of the house and would need a wireless bridge for live play.

I also don't have a stereo system for the TV - which would be a nice addition.

That is why I have the bridge on there (since it costs like 50+ euros in a store and I would never pay that in a store). The problem with the two stereo systems is that I don't know if they are any good

So I was thinking of getting the PS3 just for the hell of it- even though its probably the least necessary of them all.

Other alternatives are also the Samsung NC10 Notebook - which my girlfriend would probably be happy about, the Camera, a Video Camera or ya any kinds of games for myself (since they have a lot)

I just can't decide :l

Yea , that's just cruel. I bet no one would want to be in your position right now . Too much stress, not knowing what to spend 400k MCP :O in the store and getting back on track with the profits and let's not forget the cool job you have. It must be hard being you :f_cool:

Great blog! Looking forward to the next updates! What's you BR, if I may ask ?

And... why are you not playing on a site/network with rakeback ? Isn't that supposed to be the most important thing for a cash player ?

Hehe ty. On the topic of rakeback - I played at Mansion, where you have a nice loyalty system when you play for several months (which is why I am now needing to choose what to get ;D). In the meantime I also cleared the $600 bonus, and won some money with monthly targets and races. If I bought a $1000 bonus instead of a bunch of stuff - I would have probably made around $2000 in bonuses, so its pretty nice.

No idea what my actual BR is since its spread out over a few sites, but I'm well overrolled for NL100 so I'm just waiting until I hit my volume goals for the challenge until I go to NL200.
