Just a quick update for my balance reference. I cashed out 1k to moneybookers, so I can deposit to another site to clear some bonuses. Was thinking about Titan, but I heard they have issues with software and multitabling at the moment. Was also thinking about stars, but will probably do that only when I'm playing NL 200.

This morning I played a session at 6-9 tables, tried to be more attentive to detail. It was really nice for a change and I finished 100+ after just 500 hands. Might try to do that a little bit more and just save the mass grinding for days with millions of fishes.

Full Tilt balance: 2402$
Withdrew total 1500$

Diamond baby :)

Congratulations man for becoming the diamond member now just you need to become black member!!

Plzz can you give me some answers. Do you use stats in multitabling? I play on 9-12 tables on 17'LG i can not use stats for other players i only use for table average i dont now if i needed stats, but if i have large monitor what then i use stats or not? I think in micro limits it is not that important. but??

Regards

I think you should try using stats as soon as possible, as for advanced SSS they are required. I play with cascading tables so screensize is not a problem.

And another thing, I decided to not multitable as heavy anymore, at least some sessions I will play just 6-8 tables, so I will have more time for better play and I will improve more. 16 tabling is very effective in some aspects, but you don't improve a lot while doing it, you just grind, so until you are on a level of playing you are happy with is maybe better to play less quantity more quality.

Tnx for answer, i gonna use your advice for stats.

Hello everyone!

I've been pretty lazy and haven't updated my blog yet this week even if I'm on vacation. Quite a lot happened. First I had a private coaching with Gerv on Sunday which was pretty nice. I discovered that I don't want to multitable as heavily as I was doing the last time since it does little for my improvement as a player. I'll also start taking more shots at NL200.

My last week in terms of playing was pretty bad, I was running badly, playing badly and running into setups a lot. So my main focus at the moment is remaining calm despite the results and try to find out why I make so many lame mistakes. Hopefully this weekend I'll do better in terms of playing and results.

Since this week I have more time than usual I was also playing some NL20 6handed. I really enjoy this game, since I can play ultra LAG style and it's been working pretty fine at the moment despite some badbeats. I play on Pacific and the site looks extra fishy. I must say that Full ring poker seems pretty boring after that experience.

Yesterday I had a friend's visit that also started playing with PS. He's playing SNG's and unfortunately busted his bankroll. It wasn't poor BRM, is just that beating the 1$ sngs with their big variance and high rake can be quite tough with the starting capital. We discussed a little and he's giving it another try with cash game this time. This way I'll also be able to help him.

This morning I had a sweat coaching session, with a guy named Marek. He took the offer I made some time ago to help a beginner with SSS. I'm not a big expert but i feel I have enough experience now to help someone struggling on the lower stakes. I feel the session went pretty nice, even if I must say it's not that easy I thought it would be, to communicate your thoughts in a coherent way, but I think it will also be a great improvement for me and hopefully, mostly for him.

As you see lot of nice things, I hope my playing is also getting on the right track soon and I wish you all a nice weekend.

Congratulations for reaching diamond level.

I believe you will also enjoy NL200 since there are more fish swimming in NL200 than in NL100. :) :)

Soon I will see you as one of the elite black member.

Hey man, how is everything going?

Congrats for diamond status, now you can go to the BM party:s_cool:. I wish I didn't live so far away from PS's HQ so I could be at that party as well.

I'm planning on trying some BS SH soon also. It's really good for us to develop our post-flop play and our skill in general. Besides, you can't really reach too high stakes playing SSS FR.

I should be back to work next week, finally, I miss stacking some fish. We could set up some sweat session/hand reviews then.

Happy grinding!

You know, I'm always for some sweating and reviewing :)

As for the BM party, you can surely come one time in future as airplane tickets got much cheaper in the last years. Maybe we should make it a goal to go sometime next year :)

Cya next week, i wish you a nice return home from the trip.

Time for an update. Last two days have been pretty harsh in terms of poker. Two days ago I had another session with positive EV and actual result almost -200$, then yesterday I made a shot at NL200, which ended -10BI (400$). Luckily after that I played an hour on NL100 for +150$.

The first session was the story of my month. I put my money in ahead and loose the pot after. The field was so incredibly fishy, that I really couldn't understand how can I loose so much. I think just playing basic SSS starting chart would be +EV with so many 40+ vpip players. I had loosing sessions against that kind of opponents so many times, even if I think I'm making the right adjustments. Maybe I don't but I'm not able to see where my errors are.

After that yesterday I tried some NL200. I was running pretty bad again with flipping not ever getting my way and I was also getting a lot of coolers. It didn't help that I was playing a little to spewy, probably suffering from my sindrome of reversed scare money (basically when I'm scared instead of playing too tight I play too agressively).

Well luckily there's a good side to all of that. I never really felt anger or sadness because of the session, even if it was record breaking and that's why I was able to play an hour of NL100 right after that and recoup some of the losses. I'm fully aware that to be able to move to NL200 I'll need to catch the right couple of sessions, but in the meantime I will review all my sessions on tha limit, write down notes and since I'm building a nice database I'll review the play of winning shortstackers on the limit, hopefully learning a trick or two along the way.

I think I'll probably just play one or two days till the end of the month (need one more day for Iron man) and maybe take a break today and tomorrow. If I'll have the itch to play, I can still play NL20 shorthanded on Pacific, which is really a blast since I play very loose and agressive and try to get in the heads of my opponents as much as possible. Also stacking someone for 140bb with T7s when he has aces is priceless and not something you can do with SSS.

I wish everyone a nice day!

After 45 days and after 100 000 hands this is what I got. The only positive thing in that is I'm not angry. It actually got funny :f_biggrin:.

At this point I don't really see what can I do. I know I could improve, but I don't know how. I try to review may sessions, experiment some moves I saw or I think could work. I'll also check some handhistories of the winning players on my limit. As for playing I'm done with SSS for this month. Maybe I'll just move my roll from full tilt even it doesn't sound a rational thing to do.

Here enjoy in all of it's beauty.

Just keep playing good and try to improve. Well you have made some nice rakeback though. So its still a green month. Could be worse. Keep ya head up :)

hi there RX.
I'v been checking your blog from time to time and gotta say I enjoyed reading it.Always good to see how other SS are doing and developing.I myself am playing NL50.could have been NL100 but needed money for other things. One thing I learned in my short poker career is that I will never ever play SSS on fulltilt poker.Their card generator is fucking ridiculous.
anyway keep up the good work.

Hi rex,

Funny I have experienced the same thing when I was playing SSS in FT. I was doing good for a couple of months then suddenly two months downswing. It happened when the month is almost over. LOL

Anyway yous till have your rakeback and I believe you still earned a lot this month. :)

You can complain about Full Tilt, not necessarily Rah, but I have found recently on stars its just the same.

SSS is just simply not as effective in my opinion once you get past NL50, the play is very different from my experiences. Granted ive not stuck it out for 100,000 hands, but ive just moved back down to NL50, because session after session i'm losing, and can't really figure it out.

I think it's just a mystery, I know people are successful short stacking NL100 but I think it requires great patience, and a great bankroll. For sure the player points are good reward, but when you're losing $100-200 a session, even they don't make up for that!

I think the point of this post is, a) you're definitely not on your own, and b) don't think it's just Full Tilt, cus Stars is just the same.

Don't worry if they don't turn of the doomswitch, I won't have anything left to play with.
