Well I am very pleased with myself so far.
I did manage to get another session in tonight and I ran HORRIBLY.
If this type of shit happened to me before I would have been writing
here about how I had to stop early because I couldn't take it anymore.
If I was dealt AA, and got any action it would lose postflop...
Once to K6os, which hit a k and a 6 and he called preflop with like 3x bb raise.
Flop is rainbow K6x.. Do the math with what happened next.
Next AA had my raise called preflop by TJos who hit T and J on the flop.
I am so glad that I was unaffected. I am posting the graph just so I can
see it whenever things get worse then this which they surely will.
22 Sngs this session, one first place one 2 and one 4th.
And its actually not even bad, so IDK what was wrong with me earlier that
this used to get me steaming. Maybe starting with a quarter really did help
alot, having the patience to sit there for a few days playing 990 1 cents
with insane all in fests to even see the bubble....
I was asking myself why I am I not bothered now the whole session when things
just kept going south over and over.. I am at another place right now so on
this smaller monitor I can see the races and results of my pushes and plays.
So for 2 solid hours I managed to hang in there with no problems which
I think means I will have the patience to just keep pushing on and
I have to admit I was hesitating to shove... After what felt like a couple
of dozen retarded outcomes in a row, I am sitting there with a pushable hand
and 3 times or so I almost laid the hand down but convinced myself
not to alter my play because then I truly will be doing something wrong.
This post will definately be needed by me to go back and read when
things get worse so I can understand fully then as I do now that this
is the nature of the beast. Especially with 18 man SNGs, you will have
stretches that will take days of playing HOURS to get through of
B/E and downers.
Enough rambling I just want to make sure I have it down on paper...
even if it is E paper, that I have the mindset I need now to give this
a serious try again. And remember that.
Again this graph isnt results orientated thinking in the fact of dwelling
on how unjust the poker gods are to me and blah blah. It is just
so I can see how I reacted to this after spending an entire day on
the receiving end. If I had the graph from earlier today to add here,
it would look even worse which would help me mre to look at but
oh well the last 2 hours wil have to do.
Bubbled out 4 times and one shy of the bubble 6 times but after reviewing
the session, ~90 percent of my plays were correct so I still need work with
ICM of course.
Its due, I was dishing out the ass whoopings since I started these $1s on FT.
Now bring on the long term success please.
