you have between 45 to 50% equity against an typical lowlimit CO-range and villain is going to bet the turn for you with almost any2 anyway

I agree with opabumbi here. With a check/raise you often make him fold a hand with which he may have bluffbet the turn again and if he calls you often have a difficult spot on the turn.
