Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($120)
BB ($108)
UTG ($96.20)
Hero ($100)
CO ($215)
BTN ($39.30)

Dealt to Hero A♥ A♦

fold, Hero raises to $4, CO calls $4, fold, SB raises to $16, fold, Hero calls $12, fold

FLOP ($37) 4♦ 3♠ 5♣

SB bets $15, Hero ???

I think this is one of the first hands played with this player, so I didn't really have any stats. I decide to just flat his squeeze, because 4betting him immediately would probably scare him off.

Then this flop comes and he makes a low bet, should I raise, should I call. I'm kinda new to calling 3bets with aces, so what's best to do here?

easyyyyyyy shove.

His flopbet is just too small to call on such a connected board. I would just shove and expect to see a call from every PP tbh.

Immediate shove? Not a small raise or just a call to shove any turn?

I'd raise small ($32).
The small raise doesn't cost you any value but it allows you to bluff him there.
I also want to see what he's doing vs a small raise if he has pocket eights or some other medium pocket pair.

I disagree, why would he bluff? If you just shove, He prolly gets the odds with AQ or sth, at least that is what he thinks as he has 10 outs. And he would call any pocketpair just because you would do this with 22/66 or maybe an ace rag.

So you think he folds to the small raise but calls the shove?
The point is not that he's bluffing (although a small raise might give him the illusion of foldequity so he's shoving AQ or AK) but that I want to be able to bluffraise small there as well.

No I am afraid he would call the small raise and fold to a blank turn or sth. He´d call with AK or AQ bcz of the odds imo.

thats why moves as minr flop are not rly what i would want to do, obv its debatable with history going on, but here vs unknown all pps instacall instead of being scared to death.. lets face it: would u ever expect an unknown to be bluffing u here if positions were reversed with such move? i dont see any point in that at all, but yea, i often times do it as well, but its just -ev to be pulling off moves on ppl u dont have reads on, and i think most ppl recognize this and shoving for value looks weaker than minr for value obviously

Ok so i guess this spot basically depends on personal preference aka your personal overall gameplan.

And it's a bit of a matter of belief. If positions are reversed i'm scared either way (whether villain minraises or shoves).

You obviously see strength in the small raise so i guess you're doing it a lot (with value hands as well as with bluffs).
When i raise small i usually do it because i don't want to commit my whole stack with a bluff when i can bluff a lot cheaper - the opponent still has to make a decision for his whole stack if you minraise (basically).
So I'm also minraising for value to balance my bluffs.

Having said that if I reverse positions I sitting in the SB think that the minraise could mean that I have some foldequity which leans me more to shoving hands like AQ and AK (pot equity + fold equity = shove ).

But since obv everyone thinks another way about the situation you can't be sure what your opponents make of a minraise or a shove, so you can basically flip a coin to decide which one you chose.

Btw: If you think a minraise looks that strong you should minraise-bluff there a lot - but then you'd have to balance it so you should also minraise AA there ;).
