Colins book is meant to be the best sit n go book on the market.
I dont have it myself but I sure wish I did.
I have watched every coaching video he has ever done, the man is extreamly clever and has a little sit n go wiz in his head!

If you have enough to grind I would go for the book, I think I will get it soon too, I think it is a must have for any sit n go player.

Thanks for the advice Lennonac.

I infact found the book piss cheap online and its in the mail allready.

I still have the thousands of points on Full Tilt to use for the 275 pointers.

Today I just played the $1 9 man turbos.

Ran very hot, which felt nice for a change. I found it easy. I am now up to comfortably
playing 7 tables at a time in succession with no problems at all. So I can get in a few games
an hour. My goal is to reach 8 and then one day 10 tables.

So yeah made back some cash and had a fun day with poker making my flash cards
and studying them and then studying my game and playing and then reviewing some more.

Off to bed all

thanks for reading.

flash cards! cool idea.

wishing you the best of lick 897 on your quest through the micros. it is a dangerous road. and one you will complete soon im sure. :)

Why thanks!!

Some good lick is just what everyone needs!!!!

The extended journey in the micros is fully self inflicted.

I could have been out of here a long time ago if I had not a tried swicthing up diff parts of it etc etc.

But infact in the end its better this way.

When I do get up there, I will be WAY more patient than if I had a just flown right up
to the $6.50s like last time.

Thanks for reading and stopping by to write.

you are 100% correct.

you respect your BR so much more if you have taken the hours to build it up from nothing. you also gain so much experience playing weak players which you will still find extremely useful through the stakes

Ok I titled again.

This time after only 4 games.

This game still gets to me at times.

What tilted me is the same exact situations showing up over and over again.

Like now it is heads up at the end of the games.....

For 3 days I have been getting fucked out of first place.

I had a silly battle in my head with wether or not to use my points now, because
I keep making it to heads up, but I keep getting fucked over in heads up, so
I think ok I would really be a fucking retard if I wait untill I am running good at
the end of a bunch of SNGs to then try and play the point sattys for the $T because
that goes against our theory that variance is just variance and what happened
yesterday does not affect tommorow.

So I open up 4 275 point games.

I make it to heads up in one of them and we are about even stacked.
I am against a MANIAC, and I do not mind. It was easy enough to climb
up to even with him.

Do I not get it all in with AQos againts his QJs for him to hit yes his J
and fuck yes on the river.

70/30.

So yeah, I fucking snapped prematurely.

Its easy now I am writing and the steam is gone from my ears.

Now I can look back and say well it was one hand. And so what.

But the mental problems this games brings.. The stigma....

Its like I am allready pissed off before the J hits because I know its comming....

And when he rivered it fuck did I ever get even more pissed off.

Just goes to show that I still have alot of work left when it comes to dealing with Tilt.

In all honesty its been 600 games of running like shit and break even and then heads up losses
at the end of the SNGS so I guess it is expected to start getting to me. And I can now have it
all written here to look back at when it comes to the other side.

I have never had this much of a test yet.

So I guess in the end it is all healthy and even though I have tilted today again for the
second time in a few days when I was a long long way form my last tilt, it shows
where my boundaries are. Hopefully with each episode I can push those boundaries
farther out, and tilt less and less.

HOPEFULLY.

Thanks for reading.

Ok so took a break after my post and got right back on the saddle.

Played the 275 pointers untill they stopped showing up.

Took down 2 firsts for $24 in $T.

The suckouts and ripoffs for first continued but I dealt with it with a reverse reasoning.

I was thinking Fuck it there is only one chance to use these points and they are gone for good.
I happen to be on a major swing so they will be burned up and I'll be fucked but if I stop
playing these (My game was good still at this point) and play the $ SNGs untill my "swing"
is over I am just being soo stupid and defeating the purpose of all the logic I have
let get me through these last couple of MONTHS on the micros.....

So I played on and then I realized hey WTF.. This is free points, I am losing free points to
this vacuum of hands getting destroyed I am better off using these than my BR. I really did
fuck all to earn them.

At this time I had 44 called by 33 for a 3 on the river.. Got screwed out of first a couple of times.

Anyhow I played on and I took the 2 wins and came VERY close to 3 others.

The last heads up match was rediculous......

I was way ahead, and he sucked out with a RETARDED straight to make me the dog.

Next hand I shove and hes ahead we split the pot. Next hand I have AKs, he shoves and boom I am
back in the same spot as before.

So I played on and on and on and on and on with this match and took it down for first.

BR is back up to just under $100 and I have like only 700 points left so I will leave em alone.

I now have enough to go back to the $2s and see If am alloud to stay there this time.

This has been a rough rough rough stretch of poker.

I will post the graph because it is signifigant enough to show.... For me to look back on anyhow.....

This one will end eventually, thanks to bonuses I have not gone broke. The RB from the stretch of
super turbos is going to cushion me a little as well.

Thanks for reading.

Allright, another day, another stretch of hands, or so I hope. I may not have much time to play
today, but If I do I am moving back up to the $2.25s. I had a horrible drop on them last time I was there.

This is the reason why I had to go back down to $1s after leaving the attempt at the super turbos...

When it rains it pours, and I know its not much money, but I am talking about success!! There
was my bad play for the big drop at first in the super turbos...compounded with a long b/e stretch that
turned into another huge drop.

I moved back to the $2s after giving up the super turbos, and the drop continued right through
to pushing me down to the $1s again.

I think it has finally ended.

Things were looking up a little bit except for that weird 2nd place curse.

So ya heres the $2s so far....

And because I am moving up a limit today, I will post the final well I hope its final this time....
the final graph of the $1s which are beaten. Most of those 2nd place finishes came over the last
couple of sessions.

Thanks for reading. Here is hoiping I get some time to play.

Played what I could since my last post.

BR now stands at $140.

I will be withdrawing and going back to Stars as soon as I hit $150.

The more I play on Tilt the more I hate it.

I thought the rakeback would be nicer too, but at these stakes its not worth it to suffer through the
garbage software and the non existant c/s.

My emails are answered days later and they never reply to what I am talking about.

They just copy paste something that they think relates.

Even when I titled the email IMPORTANT** Please read entire email......

and started it with .. hello please read the entire email... here is what happened.

Nope, when I got the response, it was a copy paste about something totally different.

I wrote back saying listen I asked you to read it all I feel like you didn't even check what I Was asking about please
get back to me with something relevant.

That was last week some time and no response.

Fuck them.

The iron man bonus is not worth it for micros as well.

And as I pointed out before, even their Sattys suck.

Stars just had so much more going for me but no 9 man $1 Turbos.

If I remember correctly thats what brought me back to Tilt in the first place.

So like I said, now I am at $140, I will get to $150 and goto Stars and play the $3.40s.

The downer has ended and I have been making steady profit again.

Even now I just ran into AA three times in a row, and had the same guy suck out on my QQ 2 times in the same SNG...
he was insane first hes all in with K4os against my QQ and then it was A2 or something both times with low blinds.
But I survived because he had a small stack from being so crazy and I lasted it out.

It is more balanced out this time around and I am actually winning some and sucking out some too.

Forgot what it felt like to be honest.

Thanks For Reading.

I just withdrew the FT roll at $140, and deposited it onto Stars.

Weirdest shit is happening again with this whole US IP address...

I reformatted my pc and now it says my IP address is US whenI try to
log in to Poker Strategy.

The computer I am on now is connected to the same router in the same house
which is connected to the same modem, but no problems I can log right on.

As support has sugested I cleared my cookies etc etc but with no luck.

When I check my ip addy it says it is Canadian.

Here is how the $2s polayed out after all... here is whole lot of them....

So I am back on the $3.40s.

HEM started fucking up on me big time. I do not know if it is because it is a beta but
it started to consider my SNGs as finished when they were still running. This caused
my games to show as losses no matter what I placed.

This started with the last couple of $2s but I manually fixed the results.
Then after I reformatted (unrelated) it also started doing it with the $3.40s.
I have reverted to the non beta and I will see if it is fixed when next I play.

So for now I got rid of my whole database, except the $3.40s I have played
since starting with a quarter.

I am getting used to the Stars Software and site, which is much better then
Tilt its a breath of fresh air.

I have seen Augustus Ceaser a few times allready but have not played him
so I see as his blog says hes still a shark to be found at the $3.40s.

So yeah, I play when I can no rush no bonuses no nothing.

I have started taking a liking to 8 tabling in sets instead of in succession,
but that is while I work on some specific parts of my game. I am only 6
tabling in sets on Stars at first to get used to Table Ninja et al.

It is much easier to misclick for some reason. I have folded AA once allready.

DOH....

Thanks for reading.

wishing you the best of luck on your new limit 897 :)

i folded AA when i first started using Table Ninja too :P once u get used to it you cant live without it.

just so you know. you can right click on your graph and save the image so you dont have to printscreen. :)

I like to post the chart as well though. that just gives me the graph alone but since
I deleted the whole databse, well I have it but I dont think I am reloading it again,
I wanted the finish dists from the $1s and $2s there to see later.

lol at my retarded post

Thanks for reading.

Thank you for the info.

If you right click you can only change one thing at a time but if you double left click on the tournament in the
upper window, a window comes up where you can edit the entire thing at once.

Buy in rebuys finish place payout etc etc.

When you right click and change one thing the whole order of games changes and you got to track it back down
to change the second thing.

But that is what I had to do was manually enter those results.

And no such thing as a retarded post in my blog.

BTW for everyone that does follow this, I have received my book in the mail and I have been reading it.

Collin Moshman's Sit N Go Strategy.

I decided to stop playing untill I get through at least a good solid chunk of the book in case I end up
changing my game big time as a result.

So far I am still on the low blinds part and there really isnt much written here that I do not allready apply.

I am not soo happy about the limping KK and AA preflop.

Especially at low buy in SNGs. I get more callers than I care for when I raise big never mind
having 5 other limpers and the BB checking after limping KK.

So anyhow besides that it has a solid startout, and it is well written and I like the look of things so far.

I plan on jumping back in to the $3.40s on Stars as soon as Monday again.

In the meantime I am playing Civilization 4 and reading my book.

I have not read his book athough I would love to, but I believe from watching his videos that he only recomends limping big pairs at higher stakes and not to do it all the time.

I dont think I would ever limp high PP in a low buyin sng for the reasons you stated.

He doesnt mention the buy in he just recommends it.

I can see doing it at a high buy in because people would put you on a medium pocket
trying to set mine depending on your position. But yeah against THINKING players
at high limits the occasional trap is warranted but at the lower limits just do not
ever ever ever ever ever limp your monsters preflop unless MAYBE its LP, and you have a read.

I recommend getting the book, like I Said so far it is stuff we allready know, but well worded,
and it could be very usefull to people who have started grinding micros and are following my blog.

Alot of good advice in his book and a good explanation of equity which could help
your mindset when it comes to laying down a pretty looking hand early game when
you just absolutely know your beat.

I can't wait to get to stuff I do not know yet, but patience.

I must see what I can get out of the beginning of the book if anything before I go skipping to the end.

I wouldn't learn very much if I approached it in an arrogant way thinking yeah yeah I know
all this shit allready skip on.....

Thanks again for reading guys.

Still not a single hand of poker played yet.

Just reading this book and really enjoying the shit out of it.

I have made it past trhe half way point, and now we are into things that I have never even thought of
applying to my game. All I have ever had for strategy is the bronze and silver articles from this site,
and some free stuff I have found around the net, and a few videos from stox when my FTPs allowed it.

I will have access to Stox again on the 1st of Feb and I will be getting all the Moshman Videos.

So yeah still reading and no playing yet because I would like to absorb this stuff first.

Great concepts and strategies that maybe you get shown when you hit gold on this site but IDK I never been there.

I am getting the urge to play again though so it will happen soon, but I think I will just 4 table
and see how easily I can assimilate this new stuff into my game. I dont see how opening up
8 tables and just "trying something new" will do me any good.

Thanks for reading.

Good luck - it takes great patience to resist the call of the tables in favour of learning so keep it up - I wish I was as steadfast.

Well thanks Tim.

Infact it is quite easy to stay away when you consider it -ev to keep playing.

Its harder for me to press on knowing I would be causing myself more damage.

I finished the book a few days ago, and I did what any sane person would do with such a work of art.

I started it over.

The third time on and every time after it, I will be skipping huge sections,
but there are parts of this book I will be reading over and over again untill
the book falls apart.

On the plus side, I have been playing closer to the recommended strategies than I would have thought.

On the even bigger plus side, I have learned shitloads to add to my game to totally increase
my skill level. When I first got intot the deeper parts of the book I was blown away thinking
I must be playing a different game all together but then as I started going over the example
hands, I was allready getting the answers right, but surprisingly more than just a few of them
for the wrong reasons......

But as I got even deeper to the specific late game strategies, I was feeling more and more at home,
and I was really picking up some solid stuff to be adding to my arsenal.

I recommend this book to everyone who wants to play SNGs but only if you
are patient and only if you understand at least the bronze and silver articles
on this site.

I would not recommend going into it blind.

So now the original read is done, I will be playing 4 tables at a time with stats
and playing in succession for 1.5 hours of opening games to start out.

I will be playing the $3.40s on stars as my BR is big enough for them.

Ahh to think all I had was a quarter.

I will see where I go from here.

I am sure I can just keep 8 tabling, but I am also sure I wont be able to pick these exact spots
that I want to improve on against the exact opponent types as clearly and easily that way.

So I may be losing some volume and even $/hour at first but dont give a shit.

I would rather get it all right first and then increase volume so that when I am getting in piles
of games I am getting in piles of solid played games not just piles of decent games or winning
games.

I want the most out of this and I do not give a shit how long that takes.

Thanks for reading.

Look for a playing update comming soon as I plan to be back into heavy play again as soon as tommorow.

Really pleased for you mate,

That was a good read and you seem like you have renewed confidence. I am sure you will progress far.

Keep up the study, told you Moshman was a legend!
