Hey Tampaloeres, I'm guessing we've met at the tables several times, as I am also playing NL25 SSS on FTP and griding alot these days. Well not alot, usually just 1 hour sessions or rather after I make 100 FT points for the day is my stop mark.

Your grinding is impressive and the NL25 graph even more so. When will you be moving up to NL50? I have more than enough BR for it, I have $430 atm but $325 have been bonuses, and add to that rakeback and I haven't made any real profit before I settled and decided to take this more serious on the 9th, so that is why I am waiting to move up, but so far I have been beating NL25 with something like 3.5BB/100 which seems nice.

Well best of luck at the tables! If you see a shorty mexican be sure to say hi :P

hey nice blog. i see you make good progress with sss in short time :) . i also play at ftp.
since the increase buy in, it has been difficult, we dont have the same preflop fold equity as we used to have :( but it is still possible to play with similar principles. im curretnly playing a semi bss semi sss strategy on NL100 and making profit . i guess 35 bb is a good transitional amount if u are ready to move to bss :) with a safety net!

Hi all,

Thanks guys! I stopped SSS at FTP and moved to PP just before the 35 min. I made some nice money with the Rush tables the first days but all the fishes went broke in no time. So no easy money there left.

Spent some time reading the gold articles :)

Finally Party Poker decided to give me back my money :) After struggling with the Party Poker software which also tilted away some money, I finally have the thing under control. Also moved up to NL50 and this time without a serious downer :f_biggrin: Also back up to 16 tables again, and started 16 tabling NL50 almost instant as soon I noticed even more fish at NL50 than at NL25 _cool:

Just a short session. Played "just" 8-tabling to pay more attention to stats. I am trying to understand them better. That is nice about Party, there are a lot less players so the stats tell a lot more. I will focus on stats this period before I move to a next subject :)

Hi all!

Long time no post... I've been very busy at work and and bla bla bla. BUT have also been pokering! Today I have crossed the 1K$ mark for the first time! YEAH _biggrin: Thanks PokerStrategy for the quality articles!!! As a reward for myself I will cash out some $300 to buy a nice 23" or 24" widescreen TFT. Not really EV+ for the BR but certainly EV+ as I see more what is happening on the tables. Now I use the 17" screen of my laptop which is just enough to tile 4 tables.

BR FTP $344
BR PS $59
BR PP $602
BR Total $1005

After I have been struggeling to beat NL25 and when I finally moved up to NL50, I almost instantly started NL100 aswell. I just table selected a lot, and whenever I spotted a fish or 2 on a NL100 table I just joined and took shots. This worked out very well and gave big profits. :f_biggrin:

I used to play max amount of tables, but now I see that it is better to have good table selection and get after the fish :) Also when I am not really fit, I just play lower stakes like BSS'ing 4 tables NL2 and NL5. Basically last month I played everything between NL2 and NL100 lol.

I just started learning some SNG stuff. It will take a long way before I will get a real hang of that :f_frown: But SNG's are fun to play and it's good to know multiple forms of poker :)

Hi all,

Wow long time no BLOG. So what happend? Last BLOG i reached $1000. And was

My BR was at top $1200.

Then the fish got back at me. Followed by a huge tilt by me. Didn't think I could tilt that much... Almost when busto on FTP :f_o:

Felt like:

Ouch! TIME FOR A BREAK! I reviewed my sessions and there were a lot of coolers BUT enough leaks as well. Posted lots of hands at the forum and realized I needed to fix things Thanks Gerv and Burek!

Time for relaxed poker. So I played some NL2 BSS lol @ Pokerstars. When the tables are good I play SSS. And things going better again :)
Garph of this year:

Played some Rush 135 MTT's with some succes. These are really soft! Since a couple of days I started the super turbo SNG's @ FTP. I play these when the shallow tables are filled with only SSS'ers. I downloaded the SNGWiz and thats mighty handy tool! Very easy to fix leaks . Here my graph so far (started to use SNWiz from ~70 ;)):

Futher I deceided to cash out the Party BR ~$600. The players are really soft, but the software isnt great for multitabling :( It sucks that you need all kinds of tooling to reach the same as you get at FTP :f_confused: and still have a slower game play...
BR FTP $420
BR PS $150
Total BR+Cashout $1170

So I am back as where the thing went really bad Guess I didnt feel like to BLOG until it was fixed again :f_grin: . My sort of way to handle things... :)

Pfff I am dead tired right now. Time to get some sleep. See ya and happy grinding!

Ugly variance on that graph =O! I know you posted a few hands on the forums :)

What is your future with poker? are you still up for SSS? Or are you going to switch over?

Hi Gerv,

I posted lots of hands that time. Thanks again for reviewing! Yeah very ugly variance. I'm glad I could rebuild my BR in short time. Meaning I dont totally suck at poker  (Long way to go still) Lots of coolers and set ups ate my BR. Well thats what you get from trying to adjust may be too much to fished at the shallow tables :) Fish slowplay everything and sometimes have superior flop hitting skills lol.

Yeah when the shallow tables are ok I will play SSS at FTP. The thing is there are only 4 tables NL100. So double up and leave isnt going to work. Resulting a lot of MSS play. I've tried the shallow ones at PS but those seem way too tight to me If do spot though I will play there occasionally. May I check them at the wrong time? Mostly from 19:30 till 23:00 dutch time.

Hi all,

Poker
Crappy session tonight money wise. Had to fight to get somewere close to BE and even that didnt work out :) The fish were the lucky ones. I feel that I played pretty ok. I had some small tilty moments (Usually start overlimping in late positions...), but I noticed it and stopped it in like 3 hands or so :)

This friday I will test the following:

It is a speaker simulator for direct recording or direct into the front of house for live purposes. It cancels out the need of mics, so no more mic problems :) Should be DA BOMB! So if it is great, I will use my poker earnings for it Hopefully I wont receive so many crap as today because then it will be a loooong road :baby:

My (almost) current rack setup: I have changed the Lexicon for the TC Electronic G-Force _cool:

I will try to upload some of the recordings if I like the result ;)

Hello Tampaloeres
Thanks for adding me to friends :-) and reviewing the hand.
Do you still play SSS and what limits (seems like NL50 and NL100)? what poker room do you play mostly at and think its the most profitable?
At the moment I play on ongame. Its pretty easy and profitable.
I have just started playing NL20, though I have about $200, enough for NL30. but I want to play at least 10k hands before moving up (played 15k hands on NL10 with 21bb/100, cashed out some 100€).
do you think that is good idea or should I just move trough limits following the BRM?

good luck at tables.

PS: hopefully you have nothing against these question on your blog
