It does matter. So you have an advantage when you are silver or gold member.

Like i said in the comments to reach the TOP30 promotion you must at least have 30k PartyPoints but i guess a bit more.

The new Promotion at Party starts on the 27th February. And i guess it will be cool like the VIP Winter Promotion.

I mean when you keep on generating 9k PP per week you will be Gold member quite quickly.

The problem is that once u reach 10k points or 35k points within a 3 month period you r not "promoted" to silver or gold status at once. U need to wait until the end of the 3 month period and then u r promoted to silver or gold status. Considering I will not be able to make gold this period (period ends at the end of March, and I don't have the time to continue making the party points I am now) I have to wait for an additional 4 months before I get my gold status. Expressing this waiting period in cash would be around 5-6k mayb even more. I know it's not ur fault or that ur not able to do anything about it. I just want to point out that players that do generate a sick amount of rake but did not do so in the past get virtually nothing in return.

I wanted to give party a chance again after the $100 backgammon incident. But if party, with their iternal goodness, let me join the vip club again I'll still only get the equivalence of 5% rakeback (until march) and 7.5% after march, without any chance of cashing in the pokerstrategy promotions. That is pathetic.

I get your point, but perhaps you have to think more longterm. What would be the profit for you if you have the silver status.

All high/mid limit players i know (i know a lot by the way) don't see an option to Party during their promotions. Since the start of the Pyramid Promo they have such cool and great VIP stuff. I am getting more reload bonus from Roy then ever before. the relation from fish to tag's on my limit is unbeatable, I could easily profit from both worlds (play at another online casino and according to my stats i could have all the benefits from this site, but you will find me on Party evernight) anyway...

... but what is more important is, that i know the german board quite well and all the rakeback discussions that happened there which almost all ended in closed threads and flame wars. So my goal when i started this job is to keep such things out of this board.

So it would be really cool if you could help me with that. I want to avoid all the stuff happened a while ago in the german board.

Anyway i see another problem that will hamper your poker evolution. Although i think you will say that i am talking bs i still see a chance to save you from a fundamental wrong attitude.

Out of your post i think i can read that you highly focus on Bonus and promotion stuff. I have been around at the poker scene for quite a while and i know nobody, and with nobody i mean nobody, with such an attitude who become the poker player he could have been. I guess when you started playing poker your main focus was to improve your poker skills, learn more and more, try to adept your game to new strategies, select the right tables with the most fish and stuff like that. You were a rookie in another world you were happy with all the help you could get from other player other pokersites like us or 2+2. And then after a while you started to improve your ego grew and now don't see yourself as the one who still has to learn a lot, you see yourself as an expert who should know focus on different things.

Remember all the Online casinos are trying to get the attention of poker players through bonus and promotions. ... don't get to much into the race of wherre can i benefit the most of. Think longterm is there still the possibility that i can improve my skills.

Because here is an interesting news for you. Poker is a competition. A competition like soccer, or like being in the economy. Everybody around you will try to get better then you are. The moment you stop working on your skills and you are focusing on other things that is the moment where you will stay on the same level for a while until you get outrun by your competitors.

You see i am in a simular position. I reached a level where it is very hard for me to improve ... and work sukks - i must invest much more time and effort to get some results. Anyway just ask yourself what is your main focus at the moment (please don't reply here, just ask yourself).

But please don't get me wrong when you think you have to play on another site. Please - Do it! This is part of the comfort zone i mentioned in other threads.

Just one info:

As soon as you reach 10k for silver (35k? for gold) you get this status immediatly. So if you have 10k (which should be very soon for you you will gain 1.5 as much)

Hope you like that and that it makes it a bit more fair.

And I know that for sure because thats what happend to me in December.

I'm not trying to start a ps.de sux discussion. I thank my poker career completely to pokerstrategy / korn (I signed up in april 2005 when korn ran it on his own). There's no doubt in my mind that pokerstrategy is a good place to learn how to play poker. Mayb the tone of my previous post was wrong.

However I do feel that promotions are a part of poker. Even "high rollers" make thousands of dollars more a month trough promotions. I'm trying to increase my EV through getting better and getting good promotions. If what Cirith says is true I'm abit more happy :). It wasn't like last year, mayb they changed it I hope so.

EDIT: Just got my VIP mail, which means I'm in the VIP club. And I cracked 10k points so I'll know If my status will be updated tomorrow.

Oh sorry i think i missunderstood your post a bit.

It sounded again like one of these old discussions out of the german board.

So i am sorry.

Although i still think main focus should always remain on poker and not the promotions. I for myself actually don't care a lot about them. I caught myself playing absolutly the worst poker ever just to reach up a stupid bonus and in the end i came up +/- zero.

But sorry again ShyPh for my harsh comment. I guess you know the old discussions from the german board and my main goal is just to keep a much more friendly tone in this board.

This is no longer true, you get promoted instantly.
