Hello gentleman
I live in brazil and I am soon going to spend one week in Las Vegas
so any of you guys who have been there, have any tips for me?
what to visit, which are the best casinos, good places to eat and such...

I'm staying at the Stratosphere hotel (I know it's far from good casinos but I'll live with it)

wear some comfortable shoes
watch blueman group (and dont buy show tickets full price, go to official booths where they sell it cheaper. tix for tonight or sth, forgot)
sunblock if ur outdoors
lotta places to eat actually, nothing mindblowing that i remember
there's a metrorail/train thing which will help u traverse the strip (if ur in stratosphere, the nearest station is just a little across the street in Sands hotel i think)
nicest casinos (for me) - venetian, wynn but u shld deffo have a look at the other popular ones like NY, NY, luxor, bellagio fountains, etc

Visit the old vegas with the needle thing and do the three attractions on top.
The sinking pirat boat thing.

And just visit as many casinos as you can, i kept 1 dollar chip from every hotel I gambled at.

Don't sleep ;)

The food in Vegas is amazing. Make sure you eat at one of the 5-star restaurants at least once.

The "in" clubs change quickly. Try to find a concierge that can help you out. Doesn't necessarily need to be one from your hotel either.

I loved to huge buffets, so eat at a buffet and have a bet about who can eat the most or look the grosest while doing so.

and if you've got a whole week you could drive out and see the grand canyon one of the days, it's only a few hours if i recall correctly.

oh and screw some hookers

You walk up to the dude and ask him questions. Then he answers them. :)

Usually they are for dealing with things that are difficult to know when you don't live in a city. Where to go, what to do, where to eat, where the hookers are ... That sort of thing.

Ah, right sorry. Strip clubs in Vegas and hooks in Macau. I'm getting confused.

Tao, Pure and The Bank are pretty good clubs

I've been in Vegas in January for a few days (also stayed on Stratosphere). Make sure to visit Bellagio, Caesar's Palace and The Venetian, I liked those the most. I'm not very sure about eating places because during the day we usually went somewhere else like Hoover Dam and other nearby places.

Oh, not sure if you'd like it, but we went to a nice Gun Store where you know, you can pick your weapon and fire at targets (they have a nice variety of guns. including WW II etc). I'm from Brazil too and I have to say it's pretty hard to find a nice one here!

When you get there just make sure to get one of those little ad books, you can get tons of discounts and ideas for nice things to do in those coupons.

if you wan't to poker stick to 1 casino i would say:)
and walk a bit around i mean that city is amezing:)

I would say play poker at The Wynn, The Belagio, and MGM Grand. Just so you can say you have.

Great site for working out your poker tourney schedule:

http://www.lasvegasvegas.com/poker/tournaments.php

Just enter your search details and you get a bang up to date list of all the tourneys. So bust out of one, visit the site and find when the next one starts!

For Tourneys Caesars and Venetian imho, Cash games MGM has a good flow of tourists for easy money :)

We were taken to a ,"nice" place called Treasures, a lap dancing club which also does great food. Bonus!

This is all a couple of years old now, Vegas does change quickly so bear this in mind.

Hope this helps!
