[Closed] SSS Fail - Please Help!

I tell you what's wrong: Table Selection

Sort tables by players/flop, and enter the waiting lists. When the players/flop fall below 30%, leave the table and look for another one. don't worry about the players with stack between 15 and 25bb... most of them are just donkeys

with tight tables, SSS just won't work. remember that.

try bss....if you are familiar with poker,it's much better for your bankroll and poker development...i had the same problem like you when playing sss,lost half of my bankroll(maybe i was doing some hudge mistakes),but even if you play it to perfection it requires a lot of luck,and gives mediocre results

You know, I think that´s what I´ll do. I take these $50 as a money for learning, and since SSS is not teaching me anything (except how to handle disppointment), I guess I´ll try BSS.

I know that means nothing, but before starting to play for real money, I made myself a challenge to see how much time it would take to turn 1.000 play money into 1 million. I did it in 24 hours of gameplay, and even not knowing BSS at that time, I realized I was playing more or less by the same strategy, just not so precisely.

That´s it. Studying outs and odds and going for BSS.

SSS is a hoax

You forgot one big thing... Luck is a major part of poker and u could have started in a downswing who knows? allso SSS is veryyyyyy swingy.

try nl4 bss on party poker... i was also losing money on nl25 sss, so i switched to nl4 bss and things started to get better. the competition is really soft, just play nice and tight. also, nl10 on party is so full of shortstacks, it's really hard to find a table.

What is the best site to avoid shortstackers and goos players? People say Poker Stars have better players, while Everest is full of donkeys.

What is your opinion?

i play on everest atm nl10 sss, extremly brutal... seen 1 fish at a table rest is SSS maybe 1 or 2 BSS, thats it people are super Tight it seems like 90% of the players there come from Here. The client is shit, you cant Multi table because the windows wont Pop up for you, so you either relocate a table where its your turn or you blind out -> dont go there

Everest is great at NL50 and NL100, but the traffic sucks. I usually go there, short stack through my monthly bonus and then withdrawal. Then they will eventually give you a crappy hard-to-clear bonus and so you have to retire for a few months.

I would never recommend it as your primary site though. PokerStars has tons of bad players at the micros.

strangely Everest has more traffic on NL100 than on NL50.

SSS is easy to learn so there are many of them, you can try other type if you can not deal with that, for ex: BSS with deep table, SnG, Fixed Limit, SH or Omaha

Well, I switched to BSS on NL0.02 and things got pretty better. I made 26 bucks in 2 days, and then got into a huge downswing, which tool me back to $30.

Some players are really unbelievable. They will pay anything to see all the community cards, even if they´re expecting something like a gutshot! I get really pissed everytime I lose to them.

I meant I've rarely seen more than 10 tables of either one there. Usually I can't even 8 table because by the time a spot frees up on a new table I've already doubled up at one or two others.

However, Everest is the only poker room where I sat down with 20BB and left with 110BB by the time the big blind came around again. ♦

everest is the only poker room where i can get sucked out in 4-5 tables at once and lose 100bb in 5 minutes.

BS NL2 on Party Poker, you will make a lot of moneys fast.

Still Everest is the place where I learned that SSS is wickedly profitable. So it must go both ways ...

yea, SSS on everest used to be wicked for me too. ran 50 dollars up to 1.2k in 3 months, all the while learning how to play.

but i've since most of it back thanks to some bizzare beats on NL100
