i would definitely raise it preflop. You don't want to play multiway pots with AKo.

As played, i would bet the flop as well

Raise before flop, and bet the flop with TPTK.

I also think i would have called the all-in on the river.

i would have preferred to stick it all in as a raise on the turn if we played like this, either that of just give up the turn.

Thanks for the feedback.

As promised, my thinking at the time of play:
Pre-flop - I definitely should have bet here but had been fairly aggressive in recent hands pre-flop and thought a limp might be good for deception... Now that I've had a day to think about it though, this is exactly the opposite of deception, I'm basically broadcasting that I have a good hand with this limp.

Flop - I think I should bet here to see where I'm at (~$450 maybe?), but that's about 1/4 of my stack and I just have this sick feeling that someone limped with AQ, AT, KJ or QT... (too many bad beats and early busts this week are really playing mind games with me... I'm double guessing everything and playing way too tight...)

Turn - convince myself that MP2's pot-size bet is a weaker Ax feeler-bet and that my call will convince him to check down river... but then we get another caller...

River - MP2 pushes and I honestly don't know what to think, but I'm more afraid of BU's turn-call, I decide to fold and preserve my remaining chips for another spot.

I don't like sandbagging a good hand to begin with, but AKo is definitely one I would never do it with. I normally find I end up having to take down the pot with a c-bet, seeing as you don't make a pair or better more than 1/3 times (think that's right). Hence, if you let a whole bunch of people along for the ride, it's a lot harder for a c-bet to knock out all of them.

I agree with elhh82 all the way. If you were going in with it, raise pre, raise on flop, or go all in on turn after MP2 bet. Hard to tell if he maybe snuck in with something like Q10 or KJ, but that's why it would have been way nicer to at least get a feel for where he was sitting by raising pre.

raising preflop is correct.

you need to raise 2.5x + 1 per limper at least = ~420 - 500

i dont like committing 1/4 our stack pre by doing this and getting into awkward post flop spots. so i just shove pre.

raising to 500 pre is also correct but be prepared to stack off light because you are easily committed with a bit over pot left behind.

and after raising and hitting a pair never fold.

as played i try get it in on the flop or turn.

This. Will not evaluate turn/river... they are really irrelevant, you should never get to this stage with this hand with this action ever.

I would just raies preflop btw.
