Is check appropriate on the flop or should I have definitely raised? On the turn does a villain represents an ace or could he have on a draw or mid pair?

It depends how to play this hand but as played, im never folding the turn. You show a lot of weakness on the flop, and he is propably betting the turn with air so call the turn. On the river its easy fold or check behind if he checks.
You should have in your mind that its 'blindsteal' situation. You are on CO and he is on SB so he could put you on weak range when you dont cbet this board...
I think you should bet the flop like 1000-1200. If he raises, you fold. I think he will rarely call. The only hand that could call you here is AQ(and maybe KJ, but its less likely since you already have 2 Kings). If he decides to call/bet turn, I'd fold, but to a call/check turn it is sometimes a good idea to push, or even a check behind is okay. But I don't think you should ever miss the bet on flop. On the turn he bets all queens and even air, as budzior said. On the flop its like you say: "I tried to take the blinds but I couldn't and I have nothing so byebye pot". Remember: the ace that frightens you is equally frightening for your opponent in most of the cases!

I agree with akrammon:
You're the preflop aggressor and so there is no reason of missing the flopbet, cause your flopbet in conjunction with your preflopraises implicates a very strong hand and so he normally folds.
If he calls, you have the initiative at the turn(and you can get a freecard) and if he raises, you have an easy fold!
