I almost went broke tonight. Deposited $70 two weeks ago, built it up to $130 playing 2NL FR and 5NL SH.

Today I decided to play some 50NL HU because I love HU so much. Started out great, got to $210 then I started losing... I made a few bad plays, started chasing my losses and eventually dropped to $38.

Feels terrible, especially since this wasn't the first time. Upside is that this time at least I've got enough left to start the 2NL grind again... -_-

Lol at your BRM, 4BI for HU ?(

1 question...why? You know HU cash is Super high varriance right? Just play on a rakeback account for now, withdraw any RB + Bonus's into moneybookers and play HU with you're bonus money =)

OR

Just play NL20 HU on ipoker.

Ye ofc I know there's a lot of variance. But I'm obviously not a professional poker player. If I go broke it's not the end of the world. I just wanted to play some HU because I enjoy it so much.

12-hour self exclusion just ended. I'm gonna withdraw everything from stars and deposit it on Full Tilt to get some rakeback.

Nice nosebleed, 130$ for NL2 FR; 210$ for NL50 HU, seems fair enough.

I don't get the obsession with moving up when its easily doable to make a living even in the most expensive of countries playing NL25. If you're making a better winrate and being able to play more tables, why not stay.

Ugh.. i don't know.. maybe to make more money with less amount of hours needed to play and not be ashamed of playing micros for a living?

Yap, really shameful to earn more money for less hours than fixing cars.. Gl to you 50 tabling NL 200 though, you'll prolly have some crazy winrates there.

Well i guess i know now why you are stuck at micros

I can't imagine playing NL25 for all my life.. Chances are you will have to play poker till you retire since you will earn enough for a decent living but not much more.

My life plan:

1 luckbox some donkaments and retire.
