That's almost exactly what I'm doing and whilst unprofitable some of the flaming makes it all worthwhile :f_biggrin:

quick fold - quick fold - stack off - suck out - get flamed - quick fold - quick fold - suck out - stack off - quick fold - quick fold

April: A Month of Two Halves

:spade: I ran hot hot hot for the first 2 weeks
:spade: I got onto another leaderboard for 9-10 handed ST's on Sharkscope
:spade: I ran cold cold cold for the last two
:spade: and subsequently dropped off said leaderboards
:spade: I dropped a lot of BR on MT SNG's and other distractions
:spade: I played a couple of thousands of hands of Rush NL25 6-Max in the style of a maniac

Goals Review
[ ] Buy Moshman's book and read it - Ordered different books after looking into it
[x] Stop messing about with $1.70's and get to the $3.80's - Got to $5.30
[x] Get Silver IronMan Status - GOT GOLD !
[ ] Play 2000 9 Handed tournaments - Played 1523
[x] Improve my 2nd:1st ratio by...
... [ ] Playing 250 Normal / Turbo Heads Up SNG's - Managed only 36
... [x] Studying Nash Ranges / Split Ranges - Much study this month
[x] Enjoy my last month as an unmarried man :P - I love life !

Played: 1617
9's - (123x$1.70 / 726x$3.80 / 607x$5.30 / 8x$7.50 / 8x$10.50) +Tier+Matrix
HU - (24x$2.15 / 2x$6.25)
MTTSNG's - (61xVarious)

Cash - 2704 $0.10/0.25

HEM has some data missing again :( All of these are up a bit according to SS

ROI: 3.9% (EV: 1.7%)
Winnings: $286.44 (EV:$126.59)
Cash Losses: -$39.45
FTP Profit: $119.12 - SS and HEM have taken the BI's off my profit
Rakeback: $166.12
Profit: $533.23

So I had a pretty bad month so far as consistency went, didn't stay focused on my game after I started running badly. I have a pretty busy month ahead in May, 2 weeks of which I'll be away so I won't be setting any drastic goals

Show me May

Not much to report, withdrew $600 to put into Titan next month when I get home. The rest I'm in the process of slowly (sometimes quickly) squandering on my 6Max education. At least I've tightened up to an appropriate level now. Damn you rush poker.... DAMN YOU !

LOL, no not quite there yet. I just used to run bad on Mondays and that name sprang to mind. I don't know much about the case itself just the SONG by The Boomtown Rats and where the quote comes from.

1 - I play Super Turbo's so it looks like a lot more work than it actually is

2 - I have a job and a family so I don't really have much spare time. I've really had to focus on getting 2-3 hours play in when I can and make sure I'm playing to my maximum for that time / not browsing or bumming around on the internet.

I think it's possible to find the time if you want to put the volume in bad enough and of course if you can cope on little sleep ;(

BOOM. It's all bad, had some unforeseen wedding costs so it looks like the part of my roll I withdrew will not make it to Titan. I've squandered most of the rest playing Rush and am back to grinding the mini micro Super Turbo's. It seems that old habits die hard, I must have some masochistic urge to grind the small game. I'm trying to remain philosophical about it and though it was a long hard slog breaking away from the $1.70's first time round I think I have what it takes to get back to $5.30 and beyond. Obviously I need to address the psychological hurdles that I'm not clearing at the moment.

Cheers Tim. I'm not really that pissed off about it, I tried a new game and got found out. I'll just stick to my strong points to rebuild.

I'm a delivery driver according to my job description but it's for my Step Father's company which has developed into quite a healthy online business. It means that I do whatever else is needed to help out with the family business from stuffing envelopes to developing the website.

I've been a book worm for a few days. Read The Poker Blueprint cover to cover (if an eBook can have covers) as well as some more recreational reading. Played a few $1 Super Turbos and ran well but just don't feel like my heart is in grinding those at the moment. My overall record is impressive by my standards but I think it's just a game that can get monotonous on you. As a recreational player part of the fun comes from winning without a doubt but if to win I have to become a real robot then there's something missing.

So I had a long hard look at the Rush poker I've been playing and my game doesn't look overly bad. Immediately after I'd played I thought I'd just gambled away but in reality I play a good game for 100 hands, play one hand badly and stack off and then tilt until I'm 3 or 4 stacks down. The bulk of my hands are playing out alright but all of the hard work is being undone by criminally stupid mistakes in the big hands. To make it worse, they're only big hands because I made them big hands ! So I've spent less time thinking about extravagant plays and more time thinking about pot control. Less time flatting 3bets OOP against unknowns and more time value betting. Less time LAG freak and more time picking a better spot.

I'm 4k hands into Rush NL5 and it's looking better, I'll post some graphs when I've sorted my HEM out.

I'm off to Kos tomorrow so I'll not be around for two weeks. Obv there have not been many updates anyhow as I've not been focused on a game really. I've bounced around Rush, HU NL, HU PLO, Steps, Rush SNG, SuperTurbo's, Matrix etc. Still don't know truly what I want to play when I get home but I know I'll have decided by the time I'm back and my first goal in June is going to be to play that choice of game only for the month. Really enjoyed some of the HU cash battles, I've held my own a bit but mostly been outplayed. So there's the thinking of that vs the action of 6max vs the raw profitability of SuperTurbo's vs a mix in Standard Turbo SNG's. I have all sorts of reading for my holiday so we'll see how I feel in a fortnight.

The wedding has been a bitch to plan and put together in a short space of time, finally the stress of all the arrangements seems to be out of the way. The only worry now is how to handle a 21 month old child on a four hour flight :f_eek: The weather looks good for the weekend and so I leave you with this

If that doesn't make you nod your head, you fail

Whoop I'm back. She left me sweating, literally (because of the heat) and metaphorically (17 minutes late down the aisle) but we got married and it was a beautiful day and indeed a beautiful time for the whole 2 weeks.

This is how we felt...

And this is how our daughter felt...

I have a bit to do today but I'll be back on soon with some poker related posts, hope you've all been running good.
