today i played a long mtt session and i def played my best mtt game i have atm. rly pwned around a lot and proud of my game.
i felt i had a big edge in all early stages and also in the very late game i feel i have a big edge. however, mid stages with 10-20bb i need to improve a lot. watched many vids last week but i guess i need to focus a bit more on the late midstage.

since yesterday's party was rly super crazy i wasnt in the best physical condition for a very long non stop mtt grinding session. thats why i actually stopped opening mtts from 11pm. next time when im rly feeling well, i willl def also open 2nd chance and mulligan etc. but today a 12hour+ session would have been too much.

i ran incredibly cold overall. dont wanna go into detail now. at least i had one final table and finished 5th (100$ trny). also some other small cashes (also itm in one plo trny muhahahha. plo mtt is by far the fishiest game u can play, no doubt about that)

the biggest problem with mtt grinding is that u cant make ~15 min breaks like u can in cg. maybe its better to only play mtts on sunday 12hours+ and cg rest of the week.

i would consider myself a working/grinding machine, but i mean 12hours+ super concentrated mtt gaming is rly tough. especially since u have to adapt to so many different spots in so many different tourney stages when u multitable 6-12 trnys

some wise words from a speech of a smart guy ... since i agree 110%, i thought it would be a good idea to share some wisdom (just the main points of his speech)

- rich is the one who needs to spend less (money) to be happy than he actually could

- in principle, everybody could assign if he/she is rich or not him/herself

- the richest of the rich cant even spend all their money & in fact its just mathematical competition (how much more did i earn this year, how much more than mr.x did i earn .... ) [we have this phenomenon in poker as well. maybe even to a larger extent than in business. cuz in poker success is only measured in $$, not much else. in rl business we have also soft facts like customer satisfaction, working climate in the company, ecologically friendly product development/construction. in poker everybody wants to show off bigger graphs than the others and move up to higher limits. but that doesnt mean that it also improves our overall life EV. i would even say most ppl decrease their happyness ev. but dont wanna go into detail here, that would be too much]

- dying rich, is the dumbest/most foolish thing one can do. good friends and great relationship matter in the end.

- it's important to be able to do what we want without having to ask ourselves if it's rly useful

- we should never forget, that we are just guests on this planet

- most ppl save for becoming 125 years old. thats also an economical mistake, cuz we detract moniez from the economical system. he votes for inflation as a way to dissave retirees who just save money but dont spend enough

- work life balance. we need a good balance between work and life. [obv point, but i dont quite get why work cant be part of life. imo thats the ultimate goal. to have a job that is not rly work in common sense, but fulfilling for your life]

- life is a running sushi: never find excuses due to destiny. we dont assign the sequence of the plates .... but its up to us which plate to take [totally agree, love that analogy ]

- we need to establish a balance between earning and spending money.

- there are 2 risks: 1) we dont have sufficient money till the end or 2) too much money is being left over

- we should invest in property and stocks of energy and food companies

- the world is owned by happy ppl, not by greedy ones. dont work more than necessary [again, i think working can also be fun, so i dont 100% agree here], take your time for living and spending money

it's been one year now, that i finished university (like a pro ). i had a great year (blogged about many journeys/parties/etc here). i would even go so far as to say i'm living the dream of many ppl. enjoying every day to the fullest. at least im living my dream. and as a side effect i earn more than most ppl out there which is ofc cool to finance this lifestyle & to save some moniiez for future plans.

i've always been a powerful guy i think, but now ... after all these great experiences and my broader mind after finishing uni and breaking out from all those social restrictions .... i feel so much more powerrrrr, i just had to write that down

i mean, i have soooo many ideas/dreams/images, it's crazy. ofc business wise (some are not realistic, but hey we can think big sometimes haha) , but also just rl wise. and i want to do so many things ..... so im just wandering if a human being can explode due to too much powerrrrrrrr ... anyone an idea? hm, gonna ask my special personal doctor mr. radiohead.
i want to become a dj (i just love music, i mean can anybody explain to me why music can change the mood of ppl while many other things cant?!), or a kindergarten teacher or just founding the sickest non profit organisation to make the world a better place with free vodka for everybody.
or just becoming dancer like my hero, king julien, would also be teh nutz!

what makes the situation even sicker .... some weeks ago and esp last 2 weeks i started changing my diet (atm, exclusively healthy stuff besides vodka during weekends) + doing a lot of sports. and yeah, even more powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. imagine im continueing for some more weeks ... OMG!

ofc, this powerrrr also transfers to the tables. my self evaluation becomes rly outstanding and i realise exactly what minute i need a small break, analyze a specific spot/opponent or to change games. e.g. today, after a cool afternoon with a friend in vienna with great weather, i decided to pull a 6 hour non stop session. nothing special actually, but i played incredibly focused and made decisions i wasnt even sure i was capable of. also i made some decent moniez, so im pretty pleased.
talking about money: i rly need to ship a big mtt one day muhahahaha. just to feel even more powerrrrrr. maybe on sunday

ofc im still making many mistakes (in poker as in rl). in poker it doesnt matter cuz im learning from these mistakes and wont do them again, so i save moniiez and gain ev longterm. in rl tho, some mistakes cant be undone which im rly rly sry for. sometimes apologies are not enough (i recently messed it up a bit, so i know what im talking about ... )
but yeah, im working on myself a lot to make the world a better place, at least for ppl who know me. and maybe, i can even make the whole world a better place one day when i finalise my plans of world domination

k, i need to get some sleep, cuz tomorrow is gonna be another rly cool day where im trying to pwn the world

moral of the story: carpe diem! enjoy every day of your life, be nice to ppl and u will get rewarded in RL EQ. life is awesome, dont forget that. and dont forget that poker is just a game. badbeats dont exist. if one of our beloved ppl gets hurt or rly sick, thats a badbeat. or if a long relationship breaks up, thats also a badbeat. if our company is bankrupt and many ppl lose their jobs, thats a badbeat. but complaining about getting 2 outered is just incredibly lame. dont be a pussy, better be a monkey!
