And what sort of a point is that statement supposed to make? I perfectly understand why the French decided to isolate themselves from the rest of the poker world, or why Italy have done the same and the US (in a way) as well. If u knew ur game had a leak that took away 1% of ur winnings would u not plug it? What if it took even more than that? How do u think that compares to a nation and it's economy? Don't u think every country wants to keep it's resources and use it for themselves?

Justice or whatever u want to call it has no place here. Yes we'd all love to play every fish on the planet hour after hour and squeeze every $ out of them, but did u really think it would always be THAT easy to do? Tbh it doesn't matter who blocks what where, if ur good enough u'll always be a winning player and will always be able to make a profit. Hell even if all u have is a desire to do so it will be enough. There are markets yet untapped as well. Look forward and look to improve. I'll only start to worry when the only people I'm allowed to play are the ones with WSOP bracelets.

Something tells me you don't make a specific distinction between people and government. Belgian law says outright that poker is a game of chance and cannot be beaten with any strategy. That's just one example, directly relating to the matter at hand. And now that European countries have started isolating themselves from the poker industry, Belgium's likely to follow the trend and pass some law forbidding online poker or at least restricting the players in some way. And please don't tell me that will go to the benefit of the country because I know where Belgian taxpayers' money goes.

Bottom line is the government will want more control over how much of my money leaves the country, and I obviously don't want that.

France is the LAST country where you should play poker.
Online = very high rake (betweenn 5 and 8% expected, french rooms are not available yet). Maximum ROI of 85%
Live = first, you'll have to find a casino where poker is played. Then, it is more likely to be only cash game. Rake = between 8% and 12%...
And if you like tournament like me, don't even try to find something!

7% rake is beatable if you're playing against exclusively french players.

SNG only (because of raking every hand in cash)
