nice coaching thx a lot
nice coach
but pokerstrategy developers should create a mikogo's equivalent with capacity for more listeners. coachings with mikogo are sooo much better
Your playing is good, but my english i very bad.I am Russian, but your game is very strong!;)
I had to leave early today, but the session was very helpful.
Thanks for your reply to my question about what to do against maniacs!
Great coaching.
I sometimes get into trouble playing deep, so deep tables would be nice, maybe deep and normal in comparison.
Hey bierbaer.
I have been listening to your coacing for a couple of months already and they are great. But you always ask for feedback and I just got this one idea that do not leave my head so I have to tell this.
Right now you are four tabling abd answering general and some not so general questions at the same time which sometimes leads to some thoughts being interupted by a good hand coming on and I thougt that maybe it would be worth to try out something like this.
6 tabling for around 50 minutes. Through that we would have more action and interesting spots to see and to hear your explanaitions about them and what's more importantly thinking patterns through the hands. And leave the last like 10 or smth minutes for answering the more general questions about plays.
Nevertheless the coachings are great and I have leard quite some stuff from you.
Thanks

P.S. Would like to see what other people who are wathing bierbaers coaching think about this.
Thx again for the feedback!
@Subaaru
I think this is a good idea, but in my opinion it could be better if I note down the interesting hands/questions and answer in the beginning of the next coaching rather than in the end of the actual one.
By doing so I could analyze the spot in detail and give a comprehensive explanation about it.
Maybe we can get some more opinions on this?
It does seem a nice idea, but the problem I have with it is; with so much going on it may be difficult for some to remember by the end of the session what they were going to ask. Our coach has a mind like a steel trap, not so many of us others have.
On the other hand, it's hard to ask questions about a situation you haven't seen yet. Lol. Hmm, maybe posting a hand or two with analysis at the start may work?
+++ Today (1.9.2010) the coaching will be on IPoker +++
Private coaching with public viewing:
There will be a special coaching on wednesday, 1st of september 20:00-21:00 CET.
A user from the community will play and I (as well as the other users in the coaching) will observe and analyze his play.
You can apply in this thread, all you have to do is write a few words (2-3 lines, doesn't need to be an essay ;)) about the limit you play, why you think you should get the coaching and your Skype-nick so I'm able to contact you.
As you can see there aren't any applications yet, so there's a good chance for the first person to apply to be the "chosen one" ♦.
Btw you need a working headset/microphone and either Mikogo or Teamviewer so I'll be able to see the action on your tables during the coaching.

Oh it's not meant that the questions won't be answered at all, they will still be answered as hitherto.
But in case there's something that needs to be discussed in more detail I'd note it down and discuss it in the beginning of the next coaching or at the end of the current one.

PICK ME! PICK ME! PICK ME!
For a moment there, I probably sounded desperate. (Phew - maybe I got away with it ♦ ).
So, about me: I play NL100 SH on FT and have about 75,000 hands at this limit. At the moment I am just marginally above break even and I still make many rather obvious errors which I need help to iron out. At the same time, I need to add an extra level of sophistication into my play - particularly in my tangling with regs - and the special community coaching will be a big + for this.
My Skype nick is... wait for it... 'Tim64'
Surely that's reason enough to PICK ME! - it's so easy to remember ![]()
-Tim64
Hey Phil,
Well the limit I'm playing atm is NL100 SSS but obviously if I won the coaching I'd take the opportunity and switch back to NL25 BSS SH on Stars.
I have fully working Mic/headset + Mikogo and/or Teamviewer.
The reasoning behind applying would be that I feel I can play the game very well but I'm nowhere near the point where I can make 100% confident decision with the snap of my fingers without leaking.
I don't want to copy Tim but also I feel I fish hunt way to much. There would be nothing better to be able to sit down at your limit and play really good meta-game vs the regs.
So, I wrote a little more than 2-3 lines ![]()
And, my skype is justkyle88.
Cheers.
Kyle = ![]()
BUT
After Phil's coaching + Kyle = ♠_cool:
I would say pick me but I'm not going to ♦
I don't think there would be many interesting spots for me to get into unless I was to take a stab at NL100 during the coaching. NL50 is easy breezy for me atm and I think you'd be better off helping someone who has obvious problems.
I think kyle would be the perfect subject as he has done alot for the community and it would be a good way for him to get a little extra back. He's obv shortstacking to build up a new bankroll and I think he could use all the help he needs...
Hi Phil,
I am only seeing this Private coaching vith public viewing now - Hope you haven't picked someone yet.
Ok a bit about me and poker:
I used to play SNG untill April or so 5$ mainly. In april 2010 I decided to give a serious try at cash games. By serious I mean play a decent amount and be somehow more active in the forum than I used to be.
I was playing NL 50 FR with a few shots at NL100FR then switch to NL50 SH for the first 2 months. I had to go down to NL20 and I am nearly ready to go back to NL50.
At the moment I am playing on Titan NL20 BSS. I have never had any coaching of some sort and feel that there are certainly a few things that I could improve very easily with the help of someone.
If I was to be picked up I wouldn't mind to give a shot back at NL50.
My Skype Nickname is nantaix
Thanks
Max
Hey,
I decided to pick Dublimax.
Imo he's the best candidate of the three applicants.
Sorry to Kyle and Tim :-(, but I felt Tim is probably playing a bit too high for a Bronze-coaching and Kyle mostly plays SSS so I guess Max will profit the most of it as will the other participants of the coaching.
@Max
I added you in Skype, it would be good if we could do a quick check if everythings working (Teamviewer/Mikogo, Skype, microphone).
Best regards,
Bierbaer
