I just had a nice 10-minute-long double or nothing tournament, with this decisive hand:

It was just the third or 4th hand in the game, accordingly low blinds and no reads. Sorry can't download the converter (maybe the chinese firewall^^)

1 ($1.470)
2 ($1.470) DEALER
3 ($1.480) SB
4 ($1.500) BB
5 ($1.500)
HERO ($1.480)
7 ($1.410)
8 ($1.480)
9 ($1.710)
10 ($1.500)

Hands: K :heart:Q

Hero calls 20
8: calls 20
9: calls 20
1: calls 20

4: raises to 40
HERO: calls 20
8: calls 20
9: calls 20
1: calls 20

FLOP [J ,K :diamond:,T ]

4: bets 210
HERO: calls 210
8: calls 210
9: raises to 1.260
1: folds
4: all-in 1250
HERO: all-in 1230
8: folds
***9: calls 200

I know I should better not call with QJs in such a situation, and, quite frankly, I don't have any explanation for doing so:)
So at the Flop I have a King pair Q high, straightdraw and K flushdraw, as well as 2 outs for straight flush/royal flush. I guess the outs need to be discounted, because someone might have AQ or A  x

I face a bet with 3 behind me, and I decide to call with the intention of going all-in vs 2-raises. How would you play this hand? Is it too lose for a double-up? How can I play such a hand in a game with normal payout-structure?

is there anything wrong about the posted question? anything yet unclear? or just no idea what might help in this case?

Sorry for this late answer.

First of all this a standard fold preflop. As played i would push after player 4s bet, because i want to generate max. fold equity and don´t want any more callers. After 2 allins, i think i can find a fold here with a decent stack left.

What handranges are you putting opponents on? C/c here postflop is fine. I agree entirely with preflop.

What is your intention with c/c the flop?

I think we have a 2way-hand. Either our draw is good here or against other draws we have TP and blocking some outs.

Player 4 can hold something like AQ+ and TT-JJ and KK+, but also KT and KJ are possible imo. From player 9s range i would exclude KK+ and maybe AK, because of raising preflop. Maybe also hands like Ah7h, Ah8h, Ah9h...but more Ahxh-hands will reduce our equity more and more..

Against this ranges (excluding the Ahxh-hands) we would have ~41% equity on the flop and getting good odds. According icm we would need 50.9% for going broke here....sure we also have invested some chips, but these 250 chips are not conform to 10% (and more) equity difference and because of this reasons it´s a fold to me. Or do you think my ranges are nonsense?

I did not know the players, all I knew is that they were no regulars.
I thought that in this 2$ game(the lowest avaiable on Cake poker), 4 might bet with almost any toppair, 2pairs and trips, straights and some nice looking combinations of pair and straightdraw/straightdraw and flushdraw. So I would give 4 this range:
K6+, 99+, KT KJ TJ, AQ,AT,QT,J9, Ah7h+, 9h8h,9h7h,9h6h

I have an equity of 72% against him, so I would want to get his money, folding would not be an option. I thought that an All-In would scare the other players away, while with a Call I might generate a multi-way pot and probably one of the others will go all-in anyway(as it happened). And I thought my draws will pay off better in a multiwaypot (my flushdraw chance is constant at about 30%, no matter how many players join). This is why I first checked and hoped for an all-in.
For number 9 I would include AA, AK(because they look so good), two trips(KK, TT), KT, QQ, AQ, 9Q, and the same flushes as 4. Note that 9 did not go all-in but only raised, which in my opinion looks quite stupid: straights need to be protected, everything else needs max. fold-equity. Only exception would be A :heart:Q  which he could not have. So his range might even be wider

By the way the results(highlight):
(Player4: K♠,A :club:) (Player9:9 :diamond:Q :club:)

Against one of them you have 72% equity, that might be correct and against one of them i´m also willing to go broke. But here you are facing two allins (player 9s big raise you can consider as an alin) and on this board after this action are this no weak made hands or weak FD´s etc.
Also the random player has here a relatively stronge range.

As i already said you have against two opponents circa 40% or less equity (i forgot Q9 in their ranges), but need about 50%, so against two opponents it is a fold to me as played.

If bubblefactors are so high in hands like these it just points more towards an openfold preflop bc even when we hit a great flop like this we can't do much. I would then agree with your judgement entirely: pushing the flop allows us to sometimes fold out the nut flush draw and AK, which cleans up a ton of our outs.

Call/calling in a hand like this is better where bubblefactors are not as important. The moment you raise in a hand like this you take away any showdown value your top pair has when you don't improve by the river.
