Diet-wise, I recommend Herbalife if it is avaliable in your country. It's great for losing weight/defining your body and it kills the hunger for quite a few hours :). It is however quite expensive...

Yeah, I know Herbalife. I was always a bit suspicious about it, do you take it?
Since I enjoy waking up early and I want to put in more volume this month, I've decided trying to implement an early morning session to get the remnants of american late night traffic. So I've been playing from 6:30-8:30 every morning. Traffic is not too great tbh, but I can find enough fish and many of the regulars in NL50 are not too great anyway.
Today I was finally running better (meaning: hitting the boards and not getting 3 bet/4bet 80% of the time).
B-U-T, as you can see in the graph, I'm was getting crushed to the showdowns. No problem though, I feel I played better than yesterday when I totally played C-game for nearly a whole session... shame on me!
Today I'll be rocking with some more A-game in the afternoon.

Yes, I've been taking it for some time. It's good for losing weight if you aren't a pro sportsman. It basically makes you eat less food so you lose weight. It also gives you energy and ability to focus more so it's great for poker. You can mix it with juices, water, milk, fruit... anything you want. If you wanted a more professional diet (if you were a professional sportsman), then you would have to go for the protein (whey) shakes over Herbalife, but the proteins require way more diet planning and taste way worse. They also don't exactly help you focus etc IMO. Herbalife is definetely a good start at eating healthy food, it's simple to make, quite tasty and it greatly improves your stamina at studying/playing poker/exercising :).
He needs to build muscles, not loosing weight. Because of that, Herbalife sucks IMO.
Just try to eat natural, healthy diet. Build a eating schedule, with 4 to 6 mills everyday.
Good work on your progress!!! ♠_grin:
Great to see that you guys are still at it and improving.
@Dandycal: If you're looking to gain muscle, a vegetarian diet isn't a problem. I went from 77 to 95 (muscle gain) over about 8 months and I've been a vegetarian since I was like 12 or something.
If you wanna talk more about gaining strength on a veggie diet feel free to skype me. I think we added each other a long time ago.
For muscles, proteins + mass gainers + sick workouts = win :). But IMO mass gainers gain you too much muscles so proteins in the morning and after the work out for muscle regeneration are the best.
Pretty interesting info about muscle building guys. (And BDL, already contacted you on skype).
I did some thinking about this lately and came to a few conclusions.
1st: My priority is at the moment will be "meta health", not building muscle . I know both things can definitely go together, but for now I'll prioritize the a lighter and raw-food-based diet plus the more "zen" exercises (Aikido, stretching..)
2nd: As far as I know, dietary supplements go against my meta health plan due to physiological reasons. So for now I'll choose to stay away from any protein shake or pill type thing.
I'm still considering joining a gym so I can work out with weights, and change my diet accordingly to my needs without straying form the "meta health" plan.
On another note, I just want to say that:
I've been learning soooo much with this lately. Of course each person might feel more inclined to a specific type of study (videos, reading, sweating), but group hand reviews + discussions is simply way too productive to be left aside. My study time for the past few weeks was 90% dedicated to this activity.
(btw very nice sessions lately, Mathness! \o/)
Alright, gotta go to sleep now. Tomorrow at 0630 I'll have my morning session ![]()
Be awesome...

PS. U2 Red Hill Mining Town f'ing rocks. Still.
@Tim, Fizz and Gerv: sure! we'll organize it in skype. Today is a good day for me btw. I don't have your SKype though, Wendy, add me up (danielcaltabiano).
@Waiboy: yeah? that actually sounds interesting ♦
Yesterday I was out in the wild, at my buddy's farm once again. We went out to swim in the river, and despite the cold waters of winter, it was sunny and pleasant.
Last night I read The Journeys of Socrates (by Dan Millman) till I fell asleep. So far, I'm really digging the book and I loved his first book "Peaceful Warrior". There is a movie also (
), with Nick Nolte, which is nice as well, but obv the book is FAR better. 100% Recommended.
I didn't even set my alarm clock to ring today, but still I woke up at 8:00 very well rested with less than 6 hours sleep. Nice one
Feels good to start the day early. Already finished my first session, and now I'll be preparing some food for Lunch.
See ya soon. peace!
Just one none poker related question? How hot is it during the october-february in Brazil? I assume its windy enough to kitesurf?
I am seriously looking for 1 month adventure for kite surfing and i am looking for suitable places now (if i manage to win several k€ in next 3 months and i pass my kitesurfing exams with ease that is)....

Yey! Finally after quitting SSS and losing my diamond status, I managed to slowly drag myself back to platinum ♦ ♦ Doesn't matter much, but I'm glad I'm being able to put in some decent volume
I put in ~100 hours last month, which is quite nice, since I also put many other hours of study, so in reality I've probably dedicated 40hr/week to poker. OBviously my earnings are very humble still, so I'm not even worrying about calculating $/hr. I'll do that when I'm multitabling NL100.
I'll aim at 120hrs of play this month (+ lots of studying as well ofc.)
I've got a slight difficulty with my PC here. Windows Vista + HMHUd + poker clients have been awfully unstable. I suspect it might have somthing to do with Norton anti-virus. My license expires in a few weeks and I'm not sure what to do next.
I'm surely not continuing with Norton, and I wonder if anyone thinks that we can get by with free protection. If so, what do you recommend? If not, then I'll probably buy Kaspersky or Avira.
@Wayman: There are a gazillion amazing beaches here, with lots of wind for sure. I know up north many people practice kite surf. I can help you get more info if you want. October to Feb is summer so it gets awesomelly hot at the beaches. ![]()
@ everyone who is interested in hand reviewing: Tomorrow @10-11:30 (GMT-3) I'm planning on reviewing some. Msg me in SKype and we'll get a conference going \o/
