TdF lost alot on popularity today when armstrong couldnt cope with the best X(
But still what he did in previous years is just amazing and I wish him all the best in the future.

steroids, epo ?

Next question is: Who in the cycling is "clean"

i have nobody to cheer for at all now, fml :( .. maybe Schleck, he appears to be the least arrogant of favorites, and is also fun to watch at hills unlike Evans and esentiall all top10 contenders who just sit there and follow a wheel, but i dont know.. he is just so skinny, doesnt seem sympathic to me at all :) And ofc, he will just lose minutes into both Contador, or Evans in TT. Ofc Lance was alw arrogant, and i didnt like him at all for first years of his career, but i rly appreciate what he did for cancer funds raising.

Kreuzinger appears also strong for now, but i dont want him to build too much of a team support for next years, coz Sagan should be the team leader :)

@Jonas: van den Broeck is indeed a big surprise.. such a quiet rider, but is always there..

..i decided not to shave until i make 1mil$ profits from poker. /i also had my head almost shaved few days ago- 2mm, so it will look funny soon, anyway, want to be reminding myself who i am and not to fool around in life. And i am a pro poker plr for now. This is my only job, my career, so need to put the hammer down, fuck most society interactions.

well.. tbh: i have no option rly, i DONT WANT TO and cannot ENJOY LIFE NOW. I have no university degree, and i have "lost" with poker already almost 2y. There will be enough of the time to enjoy rest of my life if i do well NOW. But NOW is essential. Poker is dying, esp NL, ppl are better, taxes are abt to be imposed, etc etc.. Its not going to be easy and i dont want to be distracted from now by anything. Also given up quake, need to f start playing mtts at last. Am so pissed abt my lack of discipline. Also, there are things that make these days esp stressful: finding new flat+moving, + the Estonian guys did a wonderful job of ignoring me abt the yachtweek and since there is no refund and i couldnt find any substitues for almost 2 months now, i lost 1.4k€ for ntg (luckily just 1st part out of 2bigger+1smaller was paid). Ofc i lose even more when i dont play good in few secs online, but thats just different. We could ofc go as we are, few ppl, but it would cost me some ~2k€ more still for all costs and i am just absolutely not in the mood after all.

Also TdF is a pain, not interesting anymore, life is just a total pain now.

I have enjoyed life even too much last month and detaste myself for that. I havent played at all, and this month i play pretty bad, esp last 2 days on NL400&600 i played so recklessly i am totally sick of it.. played mostly ABC and just totally forgot abt my special plays i had in repertoire from the past, also puking from bad luck, but cannot influence that.

Lockdown for 10days till i get myself back.

Beard will grow and grow and grow. Maybe for years.. w/e, lets fight! Phil Hellmuth!

Depressing post..... Dont loose hope, your in a better position than the vast majority of your age group. I mean what are you complaining about man?

All i know is that blanking out your friends is the wrong way to go...

Hardly ever post in PS forums but I read this blog and some of the other ones a lot and I think you're just waaaay too worried about the future. I don't see the problem in being in your twenties and earn >10 000$/month. A university degree doesn't mean you're a better person than someone without one. And i don't think you "lost" 2 years with poker. I think that with a university degree you would make a fifth or less of what you're making now and have a lot less freedom. And I don't see the problem with enjoying life, you make it sound like you should be punished for it. In the same way that you succeed in applying a poker mindset to your poker game I think you fail at having a good RL mindset.

I'm sorry if I sound judgmental, I don't even know you and you don't know me. I just get a bit upset when people complain about their life as if they were new poker players telling bad beat whining stories.

Very good blog though, have to say that the RL part of the blog actually makes it more interesting, not only graphs and statistics.

y, sorry for spreading sad mood or sth, didnt want that, actually i wanted my post to seem motivating.

i blew up some chances in my life in the past to make my life rly special and i dont want that to happen again.

i am not trying to get rid of friends by any means, well.. ok those 2 Estonians are on my burn-in-hell list, but the plot of the post is simply just making poker my unrivalled no1 priority. sofar it had been a mixture of many things, and esp not rly identyfying what i wanted. I ll be kicking myself from now to do things. All other things in life i will schedule according to succesfullness of my poker goals.

very good post arisko,

concerning my life: i dont want to have it "good", or "above average", i want it SPECIAL. That costs some intermediate sacrifices.

Abt uni.. my concern is not at all abt a degree, it is abt RL involvement. Most schools are waste of 5years ofc, but u get to do sth u like and develop personally very much..

Living life earning solid money and having fun is not fulfilling for me at all. I must do sth else, poker is totally destroying my brain. But ofc its weighted with a nice price, so i let it do it for a while, but want to have it done and dusted asap.

regarding university degree.....so choose sth simple (I mean some kind of school that doesnt take so much of your time) law or sth at economic faculty would be really good for you imho. i have degree in law and honestly it took abt 3 maybe 4 months per year to pass exams. there was ntg to do during semester just drinking and fking schoolmates (girls ofc ). a lot of my friends studied at economic university and it was the same, or u may even try faculty of management :) there is plenty of possiblities. and i think youd enjoy it - parties with pretty schoolmates, studying and playing poker. nothing is easier :)
and if I may give you one advice - dont piss me off - you TT and silent21 are the reasons why a really devoted to poker last months so watch your mounth (posts)......joke ofc no offense :)

hahaha

it would be really fun to see u with such a beard the next time we see. so go for the million and go for the beard :)

just when i think ur making progress...

sometimes ur way too intense TLN. btw ur friends are looking out for you bec we care and we dont want u to spiral down into some kind of sick vortex from which you cannot rise from. but ofc i support you in ur goals, just dont want to see ur life destroyed in the process. (fe, u feel miserable when u dont have enough volume/discipline or too much bad luck/bad play...) poker alrdy rules ur life. maybe some kind of balance...

but i bet (hope) opal and ivan will talk to u soon. ofc ur decisions are ur own, just listen to all sides. ok?

powerrrrr to you sir. alw cheering for u.

and if u wanna chat, il be on skype.

ps errr i cant imagine u looking like Kimbo. maybe Abe Lincoln...

Why can you only be happy when you have a goal?

I certainly don't say that goals are bad, but there is no shame in just taking life as it comes for a certain period of time.

Example: It is not because your favorite rider lost in TdF, you can't watch it anymore. You don't HAVE to root for someone, just enjoy the evolution of the race.

@vonki: try this: http://www.visitslovakia.com/bratislava-1-1/bratislava-city-2 i rly dont know that much abt history/culture of Bratislava myself since i am originally not from here, only moved for studies. I also dont know abt how to get to places too much, other than center, where everything is within walking distance.

I definitely reccomend all the places mentioned in the link above. Devinska Koliba is a bit further away (near Devin tho) but its rly nice for sightseeing. U can get there by taxi for few pennies.

Castle is a must and therea are a lot of museums under it-ve never been there.

Also not mentioned on the list is: Presidential palace + its big garden. Also nice. I guess just ask ppl around for directions when u re here. We are moving to a new flat now and cannot accompany u. I d say 80% of young ppl speak solid English so u shouldnt get lost.

@purple: i suck at life by default, but there are moments of light and hope once in a while, i like my life in general tho quite a lot.

@jonas: y, i absolutely must have a goal. Otherwise i slump to laziness so easy. Think everyone naturally does. Abt TdF, i watched last 1h of today, and i think i am going to cheer for Andy rly. Seems very motivated. Although after today i am kinda sure there is ntg in the way for Contador at all. Schleck doesnt have the kick and he is going to lose 2-4min in the TT. Evans looked to me as weak even on previous stage, although did good fighting job today, unlike Lance who just gave up the other day. Rly admirable frankly, he could have lost 15min easily, limited to 8 is rly phantastic considering the place he lost contact with the bunch. Shocking that LL.Sanchez didnt drive in the last 30kms for the gc time, what was that for a strategy i wonder?! He could have been close to podium by taking 2mins on everyone.
