[Closed] what a fucked up day

Know how u feel get the fish all in and they just keep hitting the nuts by the river, it happen to me over the last couple of days.

It just made me fell sick and angry so took today off. ♠_confused:

If this helps, I had a similar day with 7stacks plus in 2hours (i think one of my best days, as I'm quite unlucky against 3 or 6 outers) and then I found a fish, he was sitting with 1200bb on a table, joined there, had position on him, and then this happend. I 3bet big pfr, he calls, i hit top set rainbow board, he calls my 50bb AI on turn with a gutshot, hits on river. next, I'm angry on him, having AK he shoves 22 from utg, I call on BB, he beats me, next, I get AA he cracks it with TT pfr AI, I played 250 hands with him, from that I could win like 3 times. he check called everytime, and he hit everytime, he hit stuff like runner runner set, he called stuff like 92 on AK7 board and hit 9 9, happend like 3times...absolutely stunning luck for him. he ended 1500bb on the table, and then he just went AI everyhand untill I was on a break to eat, when I came back, he had 50bb...sick isnt it? all my profit went to him, sick bad beats and he gave it away with 72 pfr AI and shits like that...

I have these days too, including this afternoon. These ups and downs will happen, even against the worst of fish. I swear this is why its so frustrating because of these players.

Dunno how open minded you are to things, but check out "base" (red) chakra meditation on the web, YouTube has some vids.

Learn how to do it. Its very simple and takes 10 mins. I promise you you will feel better as a result and the irritating "rage" your feeling right now will go away, and you will be able to sleep at least.

I very rarely ever go on major tilt anymore, and doing this meditation before i play does wonders. Especially if you have to patient.

me on full tilt..nothing surprises me there aswell..it just makes me sad..difference between winning and losing player is just the fact that one wins with AK vs pairs and vs 3outers, the other loses..just did a normal 9man session, it was funny, twice flopped the nut straight, twice i folded turn flush, both times they had me beat and also, had 6 AK, lost all of them with preflop allin vs a pair (JJ biggest)..and this is not something unusual, actually, in one year of poker, I had 3-4days where my AK won in 60%, and my pairs holded 60% vs 2 overcards..variance = vomit...

And it started all over again. 6 stacks down in 200 hands, lost to suckouts exclusively. Again. No matter what draw villain had, it always hit. Just like yesterday. Almost 300 euro down playing NL20. 2 years spent on poker, and I still can't win. Fish suck out on me every time, but god forbid I ever win with anything. Maybe I should just quit right now and get this over with, it's obviously a waste of my time.

I know this feeling. I lost for two months in a row, over 800 BB playing FL 1/2 and 0.5/1, that's over -$1k. Dropped from $1,55k to $800.

What can I say? You know what you have to do. Just hold on, always play the best poker that you can, improve constantly and ignore the results. Easy to say, not that easy to do. Read or reread "The Poker Mindset".

Isn't it right to fold AK rather than go all in with it pre against all but the biggest fish? Because they'll only call with other AK or pocket pairs, and you're -EV to both?

you are slightly behind with AK, but when you loose 10 out of 9 times with AK (as it continued losing today too) then you can't do anything, also if you are ahead with a pair vs AK and you lose, again, nothing you can do..
keep trying untill you dont lose too much, if u do, go down a limit, if u lose motivation, then its better to stop.

you are wan unlucky person mate but take the bad with the good you'll get your turn

I believed that you played a fish who got lucky on you but there are still some things I think you did wrong which coulda saved your bad run approximately 2 or 3 buyins.

1) if you cant take the misquetoe bites which obviously help put you on more tilt after getting sucked out on by the river then you have to quit playing and find a better time to play where the conditions are better. poker is a game of life so patient means everything everyday.

2) you can obviously know he is a fish but a fish on a good day's run, fishes get good luck too and when they get a good run like that you just quit playing. Pushing with a random hand surely is not a good thing to do when you obviously see that he's very hot right now. Quiting is a way better option because he won't be that lucky everyday. And if he does, dont play with him. Logically speaking, its much better than pushing with a random hand.

Had a completely fucked out day (days, really) as well. Played some $1 super turbo 9-man tournaments on Full Tilt. The summary is as follows:

Most of the time I was ahead with AK, villains calling with Q2, A8 or any random cards hit.
Most of the time I was a short-stack and went all in, hoping they would fold, they either had AA, KK or the like.
The other times I was stealing they had AK, i'd lose, that I can accept. The only thing I can accept.
Several times I was stealing with 78s, for example, they called with J8o, or the sort, when they should have had no reason to call whatsoever.
Most of the time they had a better hand and I hit on the flop, they would hit on the turn and a few times on river, and I'd lose.
Most of the time I had AA, KK, or QQ, they would call or had raised with complete shit, to put it politely, and got anything from two pair to a flush.
A few of such plays concerning calling with crap happened when we were on the bubble, I was big stack, and another big stack called. Result: I lose.

Tried rush poker. Had 66, flop was 6A9, do not remember the betting pattern, other than the villain was pre flop aggressor and I was set-mining. Went all in, he showed AK. Turn: A, river K. Had three such hands in a 30 minute session b which I had lost almost all of my balance. Last hand re-raised with AK, villain showed AA.

Although I have made some $1200 or so on Full Tilt after I started playing there again, I won't deposit any more money any-time soon, because of all the gayporn I have seen there. For all I care they can have the last 21 cents I have there. Even more, because my account it not tracked and I do not get rakeback.

Back to Pokerstars, I guess.

Just goes to show you poker is pure luck.

If I have to be honest, Berzerger is the most mature and interesting guy in this forum. I enjoy reading his posts. If he's angry then something must be really caused it. I don't know you Berzerger but read your posts quite often :). I don't need to say to find something to relax as you are way ahead of me understanding this. All I can wish to us, let there be luck.
