Villian is FastEddie, a reg who has played 2-3 million hands at MSNL. He's 25/19/7.3, as for postflop style I think he is not super out of line. He pulls the occasional moves but I don't think he likes to make complete air kind of stuff. He also likes checkraising lines more than direct betting, from what I have noticed in our headsup pots.

I'm wondering if there's a better way to play this hand. My plan was to check/call flop check/raise turn. I think he has TT here quite often. I'm not sure if he can play KQo this way or AJ (calling due to super good odds)

Hi,

I would probably bring in a little check/raise on flop to define your hand more than you did. If THEN BB coldcalls, then you are against TT very often.
As played I think BB can have KT, QJ, AJ, TT, KQ on the flop.
You can consider of donking turn to look what villains do, because I assume, that UTG has sth like AK if he contibets into 4.
Is there a betsizing tell from your side on the river, that you are strong?
I'd probably bet 130$.

Let's see what the judges think.

Best regards,

How about squeeze%?? If you have so many hands, I'd like to see his AFq and w$SD when raise river.

Anyhow, I guess you should never c/r the flop here, it's a pretty standard c/c, c/r looks just so super strong and is never a bluff. All Kx hands fold, even KT folds and you isolate yourself against TT/KK. So flop is nice, turn check obviously ok, you might eventually stop+go here since UTG will check the most part of his range, which obv. includes all of the hands you beat, while he'll probably continue betting with better and call with worse. Just for the pure fact, that the turn will get checked through so often, I believe a bet on the turn to be a decent line.

The river is really close imo and in order to judge it properly, we'd need some more information on his preflop and riverplay. If he's aggro pre, I think he's inclined to squeeze AJo and KQo more often than not, especially, if you had a good spot on the table after you who might just flat.

That said, his shove is strongly weighed towards TT and AJs. I don't think he expects you to fold KQ here and if you have a clear look onto your range, KQ is most likely as good as your bottom set.

However, there are surely a bunch of villains out there, who just jam their KQ here and against whom I'd be inclined to call with the proper history. Anyhow, I don't see him doing it with a decent enough frequency, which would tempt me to call.

I think c/c Flop is standard as well, a c/r would just lok too damn strong as Ninjai already mentioned. If I believe that UTG won't be valuebetting too thinly or could potentially bluff the turn (which he always never will), I might lead the Turn. Looks strong as well, but will still get called by TPs which get curious but wouldn't bet themselves.

As played: The only hand for Villian which makes sense to have is AJ or KQ I'd say. I don't think many players will be cbetting QQ on the flop in his shoes. Your bet looks strong as well though and he shouldn't give you a hand worse than KQ, so tough spot I suppose. I honestly don't know how I would act in-game, but if you give him only a few bluffs in his range, you should prolly call. But yet again, it's hard for him to be bluffing here. I think the fold can't be too bad, a call on the other hand is marginal at best I'd say and if I look at the hand I feel like we're beat more often than not. I personally will settle for "nice laydown" ;)

dont agree c/r looks strong in general. depends on your overall gameplan. u abs should be c/r that board pretty wide vs standard tag from utg who is just gonna bet this 90%+.

if u c/c F which is ok, esp if u re not rly the most active guy on the tab, u should be donking such Turns quite some. If u oop float here with sth like AJ, AQ, J9 as a standard (also better to just c/r F imo) u should be also leading that T to create some fe on utgs top of midstrenght range by R (KJ,KQ,AT) .. if u have fe KQ yourself, u just want to protect and get value. So this spot is perfectly balancable for monsters, marginal value, bluffs with potential.

R:// no choice with how u played F&T
